Mr. Scannell joined Nickelodeon in March 1988 as Director of Programming. In this role, he oversaw program scheduling and was responsible for the development of a number of specials including Cartoon Lost and Found, a comic look at cartoons of yesteryear, And Now a Word from Our Sponsor, a retrospective of fun and classic TV commercials, and Tales From the Whoop, starring Whoopi Goldberg.
