| | Host a Worldwide Day of Play event in an area park, club gym, or ball field; provide 10-20 games for kids and families to play (check out the Let’s Just Play website for details on how to create your own Worldwide Day of Play event). | Work with other area clubs to plan a Saturday Worldwide Day of Play fundraiser and play day; recruit volunteers to make healthy goodies for a bake sale or have members bring in clothes, old music etc. to sell in a club-wide tag sale. Games can be run by the older kids in your group and supervised by adult volunteers. | Don’t have time for a big event? Take one hour to teach your kids a new game or sport stickball, capture the flag, yoga, karate, aerobics, or ice-skating | Got a swimming pool? Give your kids 30 minutes of free time in the pool to swim, play Marco Polo or water-tag. Dry them off and warm them up with 30 minutes of crabwalk races in the gym afterwards. | | |
