MODERATOR: Isaac, the Nick fans are always talking about food, so lets get this question first!

drmrgrl:What's your fave ice cream flavor?

Isaac Hanson : drmrgrl, I haven't been asked that in a very long time...I would have to say...probably something chocolate-based...

Isaac Hanson : Like rocky road...or German chocolate or something like that.

Isaac Hanson : There are about a ton of others also! That's just one of many.

MODERATOR: tallichair is asking a question with fingers crossed and hoping...

tallichair:Would they ever consider an amatuer to direct a video?

Isaac Hanson : I think...I don't know..it all depends on if someone...if you've seen someone's work and thought it was good.

Isaac Hanson : Before we do anything...one of the first things we'll do is direct our own videos...

Isaac Hanson : That's one of our goals...anything in addition to that is something we'll decide on.

Isaac Hanson : I don't know—I would probably beat up someone who was picking on someone else...being obnoxious!

Isaac Hanson : Because they wouldn't be able to hit back!

icelolli:What's the song that most represents you on the new album, and why?

Isaac Hanson : I think the album represents you...I don't think there's one particular song...that's why there are different songs on the album.

Isaac Hanson : One song Ifeel very personally attached to is "A Song to Sing."

Isaac Hanson : We recorded that as the last track on the album...we recorded it live acoustic on the last day of recording.

MODERATOR: Iluvitz is getting ready months in advance :)

iluvitz:Hey Hanson! I just wanted to let you know that you guys rock!! Also, are you going to be making another Christmas album?

Isaac Hanson : You never know what we may do...right now we're focused on this album...

Isaac Hanson : and promoting it. Christmas albums are not something you do frequently.

Isaac Hanson : There are very few people who have done more than one Christmas album.

MODERATOR: Speaking of albums, shansonfan has one for you :)

shansonfan:Which album did you guys enjoy recording more, "Middle Of Nowhere" or "This Time Around"? Cannot wait until the Philly concert!!

Isaac Hanson : Well, shansonfan, we hope to see you at the concert!

Isaac Hanson : We can't wait to play for you.

Isaac Hanson : Both albums were very fun to make.

Isaac Hanson : I think in a lot of ways they were very similar in the recording process...

Isaac Hanson : but I think as musicians we have grown personally a lot since "Middle of Nowhere."

Isaac Hanson : I enjoyed making this album a lot because of the knowledge we acquired over the last 3 years.

Isaac Hanson : It makes the recording process a little bit smoother.

NICKFrog:When you're in your tour bus for a long time, what do you guys do to have fun??

Isaac Hanson : Watch movies...play video games...

Isaac Hanson : read a book...play music...write songs...listen to music...

Isaac Hanson : write articles for our fan club magazine, and change that set list! That's a lot of things right there.

MODERATOR: itzchic wants to know if you all have the same taste in things :)

itzchic:What's your favorite TV show? Mine's "The West Wing," just to let you know...

Isaac Hanson : No, we don't have the same taste in things. We have similar taste...very generally...

Isaac Hanson : But as far as favorite TV shows, I don't watch enough TV to say I have a favorite.

Isaac Hanson : But one show I do think is very funny is "That 70s Show" on Fox.

Isaac Hanson : And actually we know one of the guys from the cast. He's a really nice guy, Ashton Kutcher, who plays Kelso.

Isaac Hanson : Ramada, that's a very hard question to answer!

Isaac Hanson : I enjoy going wherever I get the opportunity to go...

Isaac Hanson : There are so many lovely cities around the U.S., around the world, that it's almost impossible to pick one.

Isaac Hanson : But I'll give you several I like...

Isaac Hanson : Sydney Australia...San Francisco....Vancouver...

Isaac Hanson : New York...Paris...Paris is cool! And last but definitely not least, Tulsa! My hometown!

Isaac Hanson : I enjoy that place most because I spend the least time there.

taykris:Taylor, What's your favorite thing to do in your spare time?-Kristina

Taylor Hanson : Well, Kristina, we do so many thing in our spare time.

Taylor Hanson : One thing is when you travel you get to see a lot of beautiful places.

Taylor Hanson : So, every city you're in you get to see new things. Then you have the normal things you do. You get to hang out...

hansonpuff:Taylor, Are you planning on going to college after your senior year?

Taylor Hanson : I have a lot of different plans. In the situation we're in, it's hard to actually be at a campus in college.

Taylor Hanson : I'll just have to figure it out when I get there.

mmmgirl:Taylor, what's your biggest pet peeve when it comes to music or music making?

Taylor Hanson : That's a really hard one.

Taylor Hanson : There are so many things...I think the biggest one is that it's not all focused on the music.

Taylor Hanson : That's the biggest one.

NICKZa:You guys rock! Anyways my question is...who inspired you guys to become performers??

Taylor Hanson : Another good question!

Taylor Hanson : A lot of things as far as music have inspired us.

Taylor Hanson : I think as far as performers, the people we've talked about a million times, otis redding, aretha franklin...

Taylor Hanson : Those people were also great performers.

MODERATOR: tayhanfan was inspired by you to be a fan!

tayhanfan:What's the strangest or most memorable thing a fan has ever given you?

Taylor Hanson : Wow...You know there are so many things people have given us. We get letters saying I was going to kill myself and your music changed my life...

Taylor Hanson : I think it's pretty hard to beat that.

amyhansn1:Taylor, do you ever read poetry and if so who is your favorite poet?-Amy

Taylor Hanson : Let's see...probably Henry Wadsworth Longfellow...and you can't go wrong with Shakespeare.

MODERATOR: Taylor! I have a question for you! When you go to places like Sea World, do you get to go on the rides?

Taylor Hanson : Well, we haven't actually been to Sea World...but when we do go to amusements parks or things like that...

Taylor Hanson : we try to get in a little bit of crazy ride action!

andromeda:Hi Hanson! I saw you in Vancouver on the first and you were awesome!!! Hope you enjoyed the city too. Could you please explain about the glassy surface verse from "A Song to Sing"?

Taylor Hanson : Well, the question is, andromeda, what explanation do you want?

Taylor Hanson : That poem was a verse that was cut out of the last verse on the album...it means a lot of things...

Taylor Hanson : I think an explanation might be too long for a chat!

angelgrl85:Tay, what was the most embarassing thing that happened to you on stage?-Melissa and Stef

Taylor Hanson : When you're on stage, first of all, you have to go with the flow no matter what...

Taylor Hanson : But one of the things I remember, early on I used to have really baggy shorts...

Taylor Hanson : and keeping them from falling down to my ankles was a struggle.

Taylor Hanson : It got really close!

mmmtay314:Why did you wait so long to release "This Time Around"?

Taylor Hanson : Really the way "This Time Around" came together was a very natural process...

Taylor Hanson : I don't think we would have waited so long...but in the end we felt very good about the timing and the outcome...

Taylor Hanson : and I guess that's the most important thing.

vanilla212:Do you ever stop and think, "What would I be doing now if I hadn't gone into the music business?"

Taylor Hanson : Those thoughts cross your mind sometimes, but I can't imagine doing anything else.

Taylor Hanson : Whenever you do a concert and the fans are excited and you're excited...

Taylor Hanson : you always leave with a buzz. And whenever you get done with a show like that, it leaves you excited for the next.

Zac Hanson : Our fans have been awesome to request the song as much as they did...and to get it number one on TRL and other charts!

NICKMyst:My question is for Zac!!! Well I was wondering if it was hard to learn to play the drums or if it just came naturally???

Zac Hanson : There's a certain extent of work you have to do to become a drummer but...

Zac Hanson : It's mainly just hard work and playing a lot that makes you better. I had plenty of that to do.

ifonlyme:Whatttttzzzz uppppppp Zac!! Is there anything that's much easier about this tour than the last one?

Zac Hanson : We've just started, but I wouldn't say anything's easier, just slightly different.

hebert:Zac, you seem so fearless on TV. But alas, everyone has a fear. What's your biggest fear?

Zac Hanson : I try not to think about what my fears are...nothing in particular!

Zac Hanson : If I told you then people would find out...and right now nobody knows.

Zac Hanson : And I'd like to keep it that way!

Zac Hanson : I guess as long as I'm wishing I might as well wish for as many wishes as I like...I'd wish for all the wishes I've thought of before!

happyfrog:Zach, do you think that the music buisness has changed at all in the last 3 years???

Zac Hanson : The music business has changed mainly in relation to the Internet...and the way bands are marketed.

Zac Hanson : For instance, 3 years ago the Internet had almost nothing to do with it...

Zac Hanson : Now it's one of the main things labels use to market bands.

Zac Hanson : Both kind of at the same time...

Zac Hanson : It's a mixture...both come at the same time...It's almost random the way you write a song.

NICKMare:NICK.COM QUESTION: For your home schooling, do you guys learn a foreign language? If so, which one? Also, have you picked up any bits and pieces of different languages from the places you used to live in or from the different countries you've visited on tour?

Zac Hanson : No, there isn't a different language...that's one of the things about home schooling...

Zac Hanson : You don't have to do a language...but on our travels we do pick up a few words from different languages.

Zac Hanson : But not enough to really speak anything.

Zac Hanson : I like girls!

Zac Hanson : Period.

Zac Hanson : But we have sung it in 3 out of 4 shows so far!

Zac Hanson : I wouldn't change...If I did change something, that would change the rest of what happened...

Zac Hanson : I would leave things the way they are...Maybe I would go back and be in "Star Wars."

Zac Hanson : I would be Luke Skywalker.

Zac Hanson : I guess you haven't heard "Man from Milwaukee" have you?

Zac Hanson : It's kind of a matter of how tight we want to be on a song. The more you practice, the better the song.

Zac Hanson : When we were practicing for the tour, six to eight hours a day.

Zac Hanson : At the moment, two.

zacbopme69:Zac, does your head ever hurt from headbanging while you drum, or do your arms get really tired? - Luv, Jenny from Chicago

Zac Hanson : No, I've tried to master the art of headbanging!

Zac Hanson : So the blood no longer rushes to my head and causes me to have headaches.

Zac Hanson : But after drumming for 2 hours, yes, your arms do hurt sometimes.

Zac Hanson : I enjoy being behind the drums...

Zac Hanson : I don't really have a favorite drummer like that...

Zac Hanson : There have been a lot of amazing drummers.

Zac Hanson : I like the drummer from Vertical Horizon.

zubi:What's the hardest thing you've ever had to do for a drum part on a piece of music?

Zac Hanson : I'm the drummer for the band so being in the band!

Zac Hanson : Generally before playing a song on an album, you listen to the song quite a bit, and figure out what you are going to play on the song.

MODERATOR: Zac can you tell us about some of your upcoming plans?

Zac Hanson : We're on tour until October all over the States...

Zac Hanson : And then hopefully we'll go down to South America. But for the moment, until late October we're in the States...
