Hi! How are you? MODERATOR: Hi Marie! Our first question of the night comes from ateensfan for you :) MODMSG ateensfan: Marie, what's the wierdest thing a fan has ever done to meet you? A_Teens: I think travelling very far. Once a guy in Sweden, from the North...he drove the whole way to my house to bring me a birthday present! MODERATOR: kurtvt is holding something behind his back as he's asking this :) MODMSG kurtvt: Have any of you had a pie in the face? And was it hard to audition for the group? A_Teens: No, actually I've never had pie in my face, but me and Sara had the opportunity to slime the guys...that was a lot of fun! A_Teens: For auditioning, I wasn't that nervous...I didn't know why I was there. They just called me up. A_Teens: For the second one I was nervous because I knew why I was there. It was hard work but I did my best! MODERATOR: dumbo10 would love to hear about your beginnings :) MODMSG dumbo10: Where did you guys meet? A_Teens: We met six or seven years ago at our dance school. We started to dance in the same dance group. A_Teens: We also started to hang out...the four of us and six other people. We had parties, went to the movies. A*Teens started four years ago but we were friends before that. MODERATOR: chyna16 is out of breath from asking this question :) MODMSG chyna16: When you're in the shower or at home, do you sing your own music? If not, whose do you sing? And what advice do you have for teens who love to sing? A_Teens: Actually, sometimes I do sing our songs...for practice, you know?? A_Teens: But otherwise I sing different stuff...different all the time, it depends on what I'm listening to at the moment. From Disturbed to Tori Amos to Whitney Houston... A_Teens: or sometimes I make up songs myself.
MODERATOR: siam would love for your help in reading lines... MODMSG siam: Hey! My question is: Do you have any tips on memorizing lines, solos, etc., because I have a huge play tomorrow? A_Teens: I actually am a bad person to ask...because I don't really have any tricks. A_Teens: I have a photographic memory. One time I had a test and I was sleeping, and my mom read the stuff to me and I did the best in the class, got the highest score. A_Teens: Make up songs or something that rhymes, something...so you will remember it. A_Teens: I did cards one time...I had them on the bus, so I would remember it even more. Repeat it all the time. MODERATOR: We received a lot of questions in the mailbag this week at nick.com for you! Here's the first one :::opening envelope ever so gently::::: MODMSG NICKFrog: What was different about making an album of original songs as opposed to recording only ABBA songs? A_Teens: This time I had more experience, we had much more fun. The first time everything was new so you were kinda nervous. A_Teens: Also, the ABBA songs were already made...you couldn't play with the words...but with this album we tried different stuff all the time. So I actually had more fun recording this album. MODERATOR: hippodude loved your tribute to ABBA and is wondering ... MODMSG hippodude: Are A*Teens ABBA's kids? A_Teens: My parents were really big fans, they had all their records. I think I was five when they gave me my first album...I've been growing up with that kind of music. MODERATOR: amandafans is testing your memory :) MODMSG amandafans: Where did you perform your first concert and what song was the first? A_Teens: "Voulez Vous" and "Chiquita" were the first.. A_Teens: My first concert...that was in a small city near Stockholm—Vasteras. MODERATOR: bnf thinks you all ROCK! MODMSG bnf: What's the best time you ever had on stage???????????? A_Teens: Wow, I have a great time all the time! A_Teens: I think once when we were at the Britney tour at Irvine. Outside, during "Dancing Queen," the whole audience was standing up dancing ,with the green glow sticks, standing up...that was such a cool moment! nickyapper: If you're just joining us, welcome to the Blab-a-torium! MODMSG cornwiz: How long did it take to get the song "Bouncing (off the Ceiling)" perfect? A_Teens: We recorded it over one day...but then it was a long process to put together everything. But the recording was one day. MODERATOR: Marie thanks for chatting with us!! You are A*Mazing! A_Teens: Goodbye! Here comes Amit. A_Teens: Amit: Hello! MODERATOR: Amit, hi!! Serious questions first from ollie3k10... MODMSG ollie3k10: What's your favorite Nicktoon? A_Teens: I kinda like "CatDog." MODERATOR: jgoe loves your performances!! MODMSG jgoe: What's your favorite song to perform? A_Teens: It depends on where we are. From the new stuff it's "To the Music" because it's a really funky tune. A_Teens: From the old stuff it's "Super Trooper." MODERATOR: muffy2607 wonders after your last album... MODMSG muffy2067: Have you ever met ABBA? A_Teens: No, we haven't. It would have been so cool to meet them but there hasn't been time. Not for us and not for them. A_Teens: But it would be cool to meet them. But we have heard from them. In the Swedish newspapers and press, they say they like us. A_Teens: They've heard the music and they really like us. MODERATOR: Amit, you inspired diva4e to ask this question :) MODMSG diva4e: Amit—who's your inspiration? A_Teens: A lot of people, actually. A_Teens: Musically I have as many as I can...as much old stuff and new stuff, I kinda mix it. A_Teens: Musician wise, it's Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.

MODMSG mcooloo: Amit, how did you meet Britney and end up going on tour with her? A_Teens: It was a manager hunting for us, for an opportunity to go on tour. We didn't actually meet her until on tour. MODERATOR: hitkid360 went in circles to find this question :) MODMSG hitkid360: Hi Amit, how did it feel to be slimed by Marie? And did you get a hug from her? A_Teens: I did get a hug from her, but not until I had a shower. I was surprised. I thought it would be real disgusting but it wasn't too bad. A_Teens: I thought it would be cold, but it was half-warm, not too bad. MODERATOR: rickyluver is hoping you can 'splain this... MODMSG rickyluver: Who thinks up the lyrics for your group, Amit? A_Teens: We work with a few different studios...one is Stockholm Studios, one is Delta Studios. MODERATOR: weirdlilme isn't really so weird :) MODMSG weirdlilme: Hey Amit! How old are y'all? And how old were you when you started A*Teens? A_Teens: Now I am 17, going to be 18. When we started I was 15, going on 16. MODERATOR: bjlsurfer keeps jumping higher and higher to find the answer to this... MODMSG bjlsurfer: What is "Bouncing (off the Ceiling)" about? A_Teens: It's about love. Like somebody falling in love, head over heels...so they can't concentrate on their lessons, they don't know what they're doing anymore, that stuff... A_Teens: You know, the first time you fall in love...just crazy. A_Teens: I would say *NSYNC because we had more contact with them. A_Teens: We don't know them but we had more contact, on TV, that stuff. So I would say *NSYNC. nickyapper: Hey there, Blabbers!! A_Teens: I think that it's Chile...because we got to Chile and we didn't know what to expect. A_Teens: We got there and it was crazy! We had to have police escorts and four armed guards. A_Teens: When we did something, we had eight. We went to a restaurant and we came out and it was huge, fans all around us. It was crazy, crazy! First, Wade Robsson, and now we have a really talented guy Charles Klapow. Is it hard to have recording sessions because you have to do it until you get it just right?? A_Teens: You look up to everyone in this business because it's a really hard thing, you know. MODERATOR: linzgrl is getting ready to bake a cake :) MODMSG linzgrl: When is your b-day and how are you going to celebrate it? A_Teens: It's the 21st of October. I don't know how I will spend it. MODMSG chris babe: Sara—what was the first CD you ever got? A_Teens: That was actually the single from MN8 "I've Got a Little Something for You." MODERATOR: tommygrl86 loves ya! MODMSG tommygrl86: Sara you are the best dancer ever! Where did you learn to dance and sing? A_Teens: Actually, I've been going to dance school the least of everybody in the group. I started when I was 11. A_Teens: I've been practicing a lot, practicing by myself because I love it. I danced when I was smaller too, because I loved it. A_Teens: Thank you, tommygrl! MODERATOR: drama gurl has been posting more than anyone in our message boards about your chat tonight so I am happy she got to ask you a question! :) MODMSG drama gurl: What's the weirdest question a fan has asked you? A_Teens: Cool, drama gurl. A_Teens: I think, like, "What kind of underwear are you wearing right now..." that was kinda the weirdest thing. Like what do you care?? nickyapper: That's Freaky! A_Teens: It's not usual you get to hear that from somebody! MODMSG drama gurl: Thanks for answering my question! MODERATOR: megreen was happy for you last night! MODMSG megreen: How did you feel when you won the Nick Video Pick last night? A_Teens: It was really fun. It feels really good. We won over Baha Men and Christina Aguilera, so that says we are doing really well here in the United States, megreeen. MODERATOR: dawgiegurl is our BLAB reader tonight :) MODMSG dawgiegirl: Sara—what types of books do you read? Mysteries? Adventures? What? A_Teens: dawgiegurl, this is a really silly answer! A_Teens: But I usually don't read books. I'm not good at reading. I have a lot of things I think about. When I read, I forget what I've read because I'm thinking of a lot of things... A_Teens: But I do like kind of romantic stories. It's not often I read books. MODERATOR: pupsrfun is wondering if the bucket of slime behind Yapper's back is making you nervous lol... MODMSG pupsrfun: Were you nevous when you were on Slimetime Live???!!! A_Teens: No, not that bad... I was nervous five minutes before, but then two minutes before the show started it was gone. A_Teens: Because we've been there so many times, so we felt really good. A_Teens: And it went really good...and the boys got slimed! A_Teens: It was like revenge because we always get up early for makeup...you wish you were a boy then because you have to get up an hour earlier. MODERATOR: pa678nt can't imagine it but is wondering... MODMSG pa678nt: Sara, if you weren't in the group A*Teens, what would you be doing? A_Teens: I would still be dancing. And I would probably go to school as a normal teenager, be with my friends...do something different. I don't know, it's hard to say. A_Teens: The most important thing is friends. You hang out with them, go shopping...usually I have friends in school. You are with your friends all the time, or boyfriends and girlfriends all the time. A_Teens: I think we are pretty normal like other teenagers. MODERATOR: Sara, we have a question for you from the mailbag at nick.com...this is from a fan who couldn't make it to the chat and sent in the question :) MODMSG NICKZa: What's the hardest thing about being on tour? A_Teens: The hardest thing I think...it would probably travelling during the nighttime. When you're on tour you do concerts every day. And it's hard doing the travelling at night. A_Teens: And promotions,TV and stuff. You don't eat well, just junk food...and being away from your family and friends and boyfriend...that's the hardest part. MODERATOR: tigratiger begged so politely and has to leave but would love to know... MODMSG tigratiger: I have to go, so I'm begging you to answer this *gets on hands and knees and begs* Will you be doing a song with *NSYNC? A_Teens: Ooh, that's a good question, tigratiger...We aren't, but I hope so, that would be so cool!! nickyapper: Bummer!!!! A_Teens: That would be really cool. It's kind of a dream. Britney did it. They are really good singers...and I think JC is the best of them, I think I can learn a lot from him, he's a really good singer. nickyapper: Hey There, blabbers! I can't describe it. You feel warm, safe. That's what we love to do, what I love to do. You see the people waving at you. We actually have someone who makes great clothes for us. Otherwise, I get them in Stockholm, most of them, but some of them I get in the USA. nickyapper: I wish I had one of those.... MODERATOR: gabster34 sure knows how to flatter!! :) MODMSG gabster34: Dhani, you are the best and best looking! Here's my question: What do you miss most on tour that you only have in Sweden? A_Teens: Thank you, gabster. A_Teens: I think it's Stockholm, because it's so beautiful, and I just love it. A_Teens: But I miss my friends a lot, my family, and my girlfriend. MODERATOR: iluvamit1 is wondering about next summer :) How's that for thinking ahead? MODMSG iluvamit1: Dhani, are you guys going to be on the All That tour again this summer? Cuz you were really great last year!-Katie!! A_Teens: Thanks, Katie! A_Teens: We are actually going to go on tour this summer, but we don't know where and when... nickyapper: Well you let us know when you do!!! A_Teens: Maybe the U.S., maybe Europe...we don't know yet. MODERATOR: ateen1 has a terrific question and comment for you Dhani :) MODMSG ateen1: When I saw you in Glendale, CA you all looked very relaxed and I was wondering which music do you feel more comfortable singing—ABBA or the new music? Oh, and congrats to Dhani for becoming an uncle!-Janelle A_Teens: Thank you, Janelle. That was last week! A_Teens: We've been singing ABBA for 2 1/2 years and it's great, but I think we are more comfortable singing our own stuff... A_Teens: Me and Amit are actually singing more on this new album than we did on "The ABBA Generation." MODERATOR: beefyman didn't make a mistake coming to the chat tonight! MODMSG beefyman: Hey Dhani, did you ever make a mistake while you were on stage, and what was it?
A_Teens: A_Teens: You do some kind of mistake, you know? A_Teens: But I think the biggest thing was on the *NSYNC tour...I think it was in Las Vegas, and the day after in Reno... A_Teens: And I said something like "Goodbye, Las Vegas!" and I thought, darn, we aren't in Las Vegas any more. A_Teens: It was real embarrassing. I thought "Oh no!" MODERATOR: coryle92 would love to learn a new dance step from ya :) MODMSG coryle92: Dhani, you are my role model! I've been to jazz dance classes and want to dance on stage someday. What other dance classes should I take ? nickyapper: Wow—career advice!!! nickyapper: I can't wait to hear this answer! A_Teens: Coryle92, since I've been 7 I've been taking from ballet to jazz to hip hop to break dancing, to everything... A_Teens: But the thing I like the most is tap dancing, hip hop, break dancing...on stage the best to perform is hip hop or jazz, I would say. nickyapper: So, it sounds like you're on the right track! MODERATOR: Dhani, here's a question for you from the nick.com mailbag! :::eating a worm and then opening the envelope:: MODMSG NICKMare: When you're on tour, do you get to do any site seeing in the cities you perform in? A_Teens: Not that much, actually. A_Teens: We were in South America last year, March. In Rio we went down to the beach, went surfing, got a suntan... A_Teens: In Mexico we saw the pyramids...it was very nice. nickyapper: Sounds like you need to use your time off to relax, not site see!!! MODMSG badsk8er: Dhani, since Sara wouldn't answer this, what's your fav movie or show? A_Teens: I think my favorite movie, badsk8er, I would say right now is "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." A_Teens: It's amazing, really cool...beautiful. MODERATOR: sweetcndy asked this upside down but kept falling... MODMSG sweetcndy: How did you stay on the ceiling in your video, "Bouncing (off the Ceiling)"? A_Teens: They actually had us in two rooms...they cut it somehow together like they were putting us over it, upside down...so it looked like we were actually on the ceiling. nickyapper: Tricks of video! A_Teens: But we were actually on the floor. They cut it, did sort of a split screen, so it looked like we were on the ceiling. nickyapper: Getting trade secrets here on nick.com!!!
