It seems like only yesterday that Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson, Carlos Pena and James Maslow were discovered and formed the vocal powerhouse, Big Time Rush. But now, they've already got two seasons of their hit show, a bundle of perfect tour performances, and a feature flick under their boy band belts. And we're celebrating the guys' first Hollywood film, Big Time Movie, when it finally premieres on the tube TONIGHT!
Even though they're Big Time stars now, the guys never expected this famous fate. James Maslow told the Chicago Tribune, "I don't think we ever envisioned being in a boy band. We had our own bands and projects before this. Once we saw where this could go, we got together and made this the best it could be."
Well, they sure held true to their word! And tonight, we'll see their triple threat talent at its best. Not only are the guys hilarious in this new flick, but they've got some brand new tunes to share. (Well, maybe not brand new, but definitely re-vamped).
If you didn't know already, the movie is filled with Beatles tunes, remixed and re-recorded by the boys of BTR! "We're sharing the Beatles with fans who are on the younger side and might not know The Beatles unless their parents listen to them," James explained. "You can't hate on the fact that we're spreading their music to a new generation." And we agree!
Before leaving the Big Time Movie premiere this week, Carlos gave the film an enthusiastic thumbs up. And we totally trust his judgement. Don't miss the movie, hitting the air tonight!
