As an all-star actress, Gracie Dzienny knows how to get into character. And it's not just in front of the cameras. Gracie loves cuddling up with a good book and diving into tons of new roles. Even ones that are just like her character, Amanda! Check out what Gracie had to say to JustJaredJr. about her love for literature and her most fave reads.
First, Gracie dished about her all-time number-one novel. She said, "My favorite book is 'Hero' by Mike Lupica. I love this book because the main character is a super hero and I play one on Supah Ninjas. I love how the author goes in depth about the main character's life and how hard it is to keep his secret! It's totally like my character, Amanda, so I can relate."
But this shining starlet has been a bookworm since she was just a tiny tot! She said, "Well, when I was really little my dad would always read 'The Butter Battle Book' by Dr. Seuss to me. It was my favorite!"
And you know that old saying, 'don't judge a book by its cover'? Well, just don't say that to Gracie! Because sometimes she does exactly that! She admitted, "I'm an artist and a doodler, so cute photography or a fun little graphic always catches my eye. The brighter, more interesting book covers intrigue me a little more than the dark ones."
So, even though Gracie's a queen on screen, she also loves stories told the good old fashioned way. Although, she still enjoys a good movie remake of her fave tales from time to time. She said, "I think it depends on the book. I enjoy reading about the characters' back story so I sometimes miss learning about those details when books are made into movies. I also like picturing in my mind what the characters looks like. Sometimes Hollywood surprises me with their casting choices!"
We know what would be a great Hollywood surprise...If Gracie took a role in one of these book-to-movie films. Hey, just a thought!
