Q: What is Nick Arcade?

A:  TheNick Arcade is the area on nick.com where you can buy downloadable computer games. Once purchased, the games will be downloaded directly onto your desktop for a one-time fee listed on each game's promotional page. The games are both exclusive versions of 3D games featuring Nickelodeon characters and non-Nickelodeon branded 3D games. You do not need to be online to play these games.

Q:  How do I buy and download a game from the Nick Arcade?

A:  Grab a parent and select the game you want to buy. Once you complete your purchase, pop up windows will direct you through the download process. You will also receive a confirmation email with a purchase number. Save this email for your records.

Q:  Is it safe to download a game from the Nick Arcade?

A:  Yes.  Our systems are secure and you don't need to be connected to the Internet to play the games.

Q:  Will I be shipped a CD?

A:  We do not send customers a physical CD. The download you've purchased is a complete digital copy of the game and you have full access to the software. No CD is necessary. If ever you need to reinstall the software, please see the reinstall instructions.

A:  ActiveMARK starts an Internet connection to complete the buying or license renewal process. If the connection fails, this error message appears. If the problem arises, please make sure you're connected to the Internet before running the software.

Q:  I'm already connected to the Internet, but Internet Explorer shows a window for starting a dial-up connection. What should I do?

A:  Sometimes Internet Explorer doesn't correctly detect existing Internet connections and tries to start a new one. To solve this, go to Internet Explorer's configuration window (IE > Tools > Internet Options > Connections). If you're using a dial-up connection select "Dial whenever a network connection is not present"; if not, select "Never dial a connection."

Q:  When I try to buy a Nick Arcade game/renew license, an "access denied" message appears. What should I do?

A:  This problem usually occurs as a result of firewall, proxy or anti-virus programs. If you have one of those programs, disable it and try to purchase again.
