A Look Back on KCA 2011
Posted on 04/09/2011 by KCA KrazedIt's time to say farewell to KCA 2011 (tear!!). We laughed, we cried (from laughing so hard), we sang, and we slimed. But the Orange Carpet is all rolled up, and we have to move on (until 2012 at least). But before we do, let's take a little trip down memory lane and reflect upon this year's best moments. Here's a little list of what we'll remember most about KCA 2011.
The Funniest Frontman: Two words...Jack Black. This guy never fails in funny and this year's KCAs were no exception. We got to take a backseat on this hilarious host's monster truck journey, and it was a wild ride! From taking the stage for a "Jack" Eyed Peas performance, to the most epic slime finale of all time, this is definitely one for the host history books. Hats off to you, Jack, for making this year unforgettable.
The Loudest Laughs:
This year we LOL'ed like we've never LOL'ed before. From dishing about Justin Bieber's pranks and Katy Perry's fun fashion, to Russell Brand's surprise sliming on KCA night, it took just about everything we had in us to NOT pee our pants (that would have been embarrassing). Cheers to you, KCAs, for giving us the funniest year yet!
The Starriest Celebs:
Jaden Smith, Joe Jonas, Selena Gomez, Jack Black, The Black Eyed Peas, Victoria Justice...The list goes on and on. This year was jammed-packed with the sweetest celebs and we had a total blast following their fancy-shoed footsteps on and off the Orange Carpet. We scoped out their style, listened in on their jokes, and even got a front row seat to their big show. We'll never forget the moments we shared with these rad rockstars.
The Slurpiest Slime: Between surprise slimings, audience slimings, supermodel slimings, and Snoop slimings, this year's awards were truly the gooiest! The KCA monster slime truck even soared over a giant blimp and into a pool of slime! And do you remember when the slime went MISSING?! Thank goodness we solved that slime crime (wink, wink). Well, now we're giving a special thanks to the goo gods for bringing us the slimiest year yet. Ahh, this year was just the goo-reatest, wasn't it?

KCA Magical Music Moments Playlist
Posted on 04/09/2011 by KCA KidWatching the Kids' Choice Awards this year was better than going to a concert! We got to see so many of our favorite musical acts in one place... and with slime!
First we saw Victoria Justice break it down on the Orange Carpet to her song "Beggin' on Your Knees," then Train sang our fave "Hey, Soul Sister," and then Jack Black performed his own rendition of the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling." When the actual show kicked off, the Black Eyed Peas came out to sing "The Time" and "Just Can't Get Enough" as Jack Black danced and stole the show. Big Time Rush performed with Snoop and gave him all the green goop he ever wanted at the end of the song! Willow Smith wowed the audience with her grand entrance as she flew through the audience and sang "21st Century Girl" and "Whip My Hair" in her amazing tutu. Want to watch them all again and again? Britney Spears' Cameo at the Kids' Choice Awards
Posted on 04/09/2011 by KCA KutieWe love seeing Britney Spears out and about, so when she happened to be in the audience with Po from Kung Fu Panda we were shocked! How'd she get there?! Po decided the KCAs were a perfect time to enjoy a bowl of noodles, but one flung out of his bowl into Brit's hair. Oops! He did it again...
Her cameo was so short that if you blinked, you might've missed it! But we'll take Brit even in small doses. Maybe next year she'll get slimed and not just noodled!
Russell Brand's Big KCA Night

He and Rico Rodriguez were on stage to present an award when the crowd went slime wild and started throwing the green goo at him and Rico! Crazy crowd alert! Taylor Momsen Goes Nick Nostalgic

Nick: What was your favorite Nick show growing up?
Taylor: "My favorite Nick show was The Cosby show. Ooh wait! That was Nick at Nite! I loved NIck at Nite. SpongeBob is awesome. I didn't watch a lot of TV growing up; I watched more films. Nick: Is this your first KCAs?
Pixie: I came last year! It was so much fun! I'm excited to see the awards and the performances. The BEP are performing I hear, so I'm looking forward to that!Nick:Which KCA category would you want to win?
Pixie: Best Musician or something like that!Nick: What are your fave Nick shows?
Pixie: I used to watch Nick all the time. I still watch Drake and Josh.Nick: Do you want to get slimed?
Pixie: It does look like quite a lot of fun but you have to change after and I don't have a change of clothes!Note to celebs: bringing extra dresses to the KCAs is optional and encouraged!
Big Time Girl Group?!

Willow Smith and Jeff Sutphen on the Orange Carpet
Posted on 04/08/2011 by KCA KidIt's gotta be tough growing up in the spotlight with two famous parents and a newly famous brother... OK, by tough, we mean AWESOME! How cool must it be to have family dinner at the Smith house?
Willow Smith and her brother Jaden Smith both had huge nights at the 2011 Kids' Choice Awards. Jaden's flick, The Karate Kid, won for Favorite Movie and Willow performed two songs while wearing a tutu and flying high over the audience. Does it get any more fun?!
But is there any sibling rivalry between these two new talents? Jeff Sutphen asked Willow on the Orange Carpet about whether or not she voted for Jaden. Her response? "I hope he's winning." Make of that what you will, but we think Willow and Jaden are brother and sister and BFFs, too. What do you think? Watch the interview and decide for yourselves!
Jennifer Stone Chats Slime on the Orange Carpet
Posted on 04/08/2011 by KCA KidJennifer Stone always surprises us with her outfits on the carpet and the Kids' Choice Awards Orange Carpet was no exception! Luckily, she didn't get her outfit messy with any green, gooey stuff this year (or any year) because she's never been slimed! Isn't that crazy? But when it comes down to doing the sliming, Jen had the most fun when sliming Johnny Depp. "It might be a lot of female's favorites, but sliming Johnny Depp was great." We can imagine! But this year, Johnny did all the sliming and Russell Brand and Rico Rodriguez paid for Johnny's fun!
So how come Jen walked away without a smudge of slime on her this year? Jen told us: "I'm a Disney kid. We don't get slimed. We stay pretty clean." Ohh, is that a challenge?! We'll see you next year, Jen!
