What is a shore excursion?
Shore & land excursions are exclusive tours and other recreational activities you can take advantage of while visiting various ports on your cruise. Royal Caribbean coordinates the excursion programs with reputable and vetted third party tour operators. Prices for a shore excursion depend on the experience.

How long are shore excursions?
It depends on the type of activity, but they range from 1-8 hours. All official shore excursions booked through Royal Caribbean's shore excursions program will guarantee you will be back on the ship before it departs.

How do I book a shore excursion?
There are several ways to book:

Pre-Cruise booking: Excursions can be reserved directly through the Royal Caribbean website up to 10 days prior to your cruise sailing date. In order to book your excursion, you must have your booking ID number and a valid credit card number for payment. Your booking ID number will be included in the cruise documents mailed to you at least 4 weeks prior to your scheduled cruise.

On the Ship: Visit the Shore Excursions / Explorations! Desk Deck 5 of the ship (next to Guest Relations) to find out more information and to reserve your shore excursion. You may also reserve your excursion using your in-stateroom TV. If you are staying in one of the suites, you may visit the Concierge Club on Deck 10 to reserve your excursion.

Please note: Shore excursions are not included in the price of your cruise package. It is recommended that you book your shore excursions in advance as they tend to sell out.

I have younger kids. What shore excursions can I take them on?
To help you and your family get the most out of your summer vacation, Nickelodeon has created several suggested lists of shore excursions that are appropriate by age group; one for preschoolers, school-age kids and families of all ages. See the lists below and click on the name of the port for more info on the shore excursions listed.

Do I have to book a shore excursion? What else can I do?
You are not obligated to purchase a shore excursion in order to leave the ship. There are other options while in port, such as local beaches or a nearby shopping center or historical area. Public transportation is available in most ports. Please note that if you do decide to explore the port on your own, it is your responsibility to return to the ship before the ship's departure time. The ship's "all on board time" is scheduled approximately 30 minutes prior to sailing; this time should be verified once on board, and will be posted near the ship's gangway. It is neither Nickelodeon nor Royal Caribbean's responsibility if you are absent from the ship at time of departure.

Explore one of the new nature trails on an afternoon hike. Take a long swim in the beautiful translucent water. Or just nap in the summer sunshine.
