Jade slammed the car door closed and stormed into school. "Hey, Jade! I was wondering about-"
"Buzz off, Vega." Jade replied flatly, and kept walking. "I was wondering about the new play? I heard the auditions were soon? when are they?? Tori continued. Sigh. ?They?re this Friday after school. Now leave.? Jade responded, and was just about to enter Sikowitz?s classroom when Sikowitz himself stopped her. ?Jade?? he started. ?Can you do me a favor??
?No.?
?You have to.?
?Ugh, fine. What do you want??
?I need you to help a new girl around school. She?s already in the classroom, but here?s her schedule and her school photo from last year so you know what she looks like. She?s in all the same classes as you. Just help her around, will you?? He handed Jade a folded piece of paper and ran back into the room. Sighing, she sat down and unfolded the paper. Then she gasped. That face was familiar. She remembered now. The same curly blonde hair. The sparkling blue eyes. The signature sloping nose. Oh, yes, she remembered it well now. The arguments. The jealousy. The betrayal.
This was the face of her worst enemy.
