"Yang-Chen, come on!" Otoha pointed to her glider. The other girls were making gestures as to hurry me. "I'll be there is a moment!" I called back. I hurriedly grabbed my glider from the bedroom I shared with Otoha and Hoku. I held my skirt up so I could run faster. One of the older nuns glared at me. "Shame! Being so immodest!" She called after me. shaking her finger. I giggled slightly. I reached the other girls. "FINALLY! Yang-Chen you took forever! " Chouko whined. She was the most impatient and hyper out of the group. She was also several years younger than us. She was in our lessons though because she progressed so fast in her training. There were rumors she was the Avatar because she was so gifted. "Patience is a good virture." Ai remarked. "Don't start acting all wise when your just 14!" Chouko replied. "Don't be so unkind to your elders!" Ai had a mock stern look on her face. "Your hardly my elder. Your only five years older than me!" Chouko said bitingly. "But I, am your elder." An extremely stern voice said behind us. Chouko froze and turned around slowly. It was Nun Yan. She was one of the oldest female monks and the one who had scolded me earlier. "You must be respectful of anyone. Espeically your elders. Wether they are five years older, or fifty." Her face was still stern but her eyes had softened. "And you," She turned to Ai," must not abuse that fact your an elder to her." Yan walked away. "Well, I don't care what she says. I'm 15, so that means I'm an elder to all of you!" Otoha said smugly as soon as Yan was out of earshot. "Oh Otoha, always the bossy one." I snickered. "Hey, don't disrespect your elder! Little miss 14 year old." Otoha snapped back. The rest of us snickered and snapped open our gliders. We hopped off the side of the temple and glided away. After we had finished our gliding we found a small hillside to lounge on. "We are going to get in soooo much trouble when we get back aren't we?" Jang-Min asked. "Yup." Hoku replied. The resemblance between the two thirteen years olds was amazing. They looked more like sisters than cousins. Otoha and Ai had spread out a small blanket and was setting some fruit and sweets on it. She also had a jug of cold goat-cow milk. Ai fingered her freshly shaven forehead. "It's strange to feel it shaven there. I got so used to my hair being there." She nibbled on a piece of fruit. Ai had recently gone through an illness where she didn't shave her forehead for a long time. "I guess it would when you get used to something." I replied. I grabbed a pastry and started to eat. The others soon followed. After all the snacks had been eaten, and drinks had been drunk, we decided to head back to the temple. Yan's face was very red, but Monk Te-Leng distracted her for us. He winked as we walked by. Everyone knew Yan liked Monk Te-Leng. My little cousin Yen came up to us and grasped my hand. "Take me next time you go somewhere!" The 11 year old pleaded. "Yes! She should come!" Chouko stuck up for her bestfriend. "Weeeellllll.....Maybe." I said. We all parted after that, most going to train. That night Otoha, Hoku, and I were chatting before bed. "I predict that I get my Arrows at age 20." Otoha declared. "The youngest anyone has ever been is 23. Meifeng is the one who set the record." Hoku replied. "I miss Meifeng. She was always laughing and jokeing." I sighed. "I can't believe she moved to the Eastern Air Temple. When she said she wanted a change of scenery she really meant it!" Otoha chuckled "I still miss her though." Hoku slipped into bed. "Me too." I agreed. "Goodnight." Otoha whispered. "Goodnight." Hoku and I said together. "Huo come on! You need to learn this technique!" The earthbender glared at his student. "I really don't feel like it Sifu!" The young man groaned. "You will learn the move now!" The burly earthbender stomped his foot and Huo flew a few feet into the air. "Alright alright Sifu." Huo chuckled.
I opened my eyes. It was the wee hours of the morning. 'What was I dreaming about?' I wondered.
I hope you like it!!! This is my new story! It's different so I think it'll be refreshing to read. It's very refreshing to write. Also, Avatar Yang-Chen is pretty much a clean slate, so I can really mould her and form her. Please reply!
....Chapter Five....
"THE WATER TRIBE IS ATTACKING THE EARTH KINGDOM!!!" Yang-chen sat up in bed. The other girls sat up too. "What?" Otoha said. Hoku rolled out of bed and gave a little squeal. Yang-Chen flung herself out of bed and starting running. She ran to the the nearest sleeping area for the nuns. "THE WATER TRIBE IS ATTACKING THE EARTH KINGDOM!" She shrieked. The nuns crowded around her. "Someone get Nun Yan." One of them said. Yang-Chen realized this was where the young new nuns slept. Nun Yan was soon summoned. "What is it child? It's the middle of the night!!" Nun Yan tied her robe around her pajamas. "The Water Tribe is attacking the Earth Kingdom!!!!" Yang-Chen wailed. "Now why would you say a thing like that?" Nun Yan scolded her. "I saw it in a dream!" Yang-Chen said. The nuns started rolling their eyes. At least, the young ones were. "Come with me." Nun Yan grasped Yang-Chen by the arm and pulled her with her. "Where are we going?" Yang-Chen asked. Nun Yan didn't respond. They went to a room and Nun Yan did a complicated air move to get in. It was very dark. Only candels were lit and incense. A very old monk was playing a soft sounding string insturment. Yang Chen realized this was a very sacred meditation room. Only the nuns and monks were allowed in here. "Meditate now." Nun Yan Said. She then turned and left the room. Yang-Chen always dreamed about being able to come in here. The old monk smiled at her and continued playing. Yang-Chen sat down on a pillow and tried to clear her head. She was having trouble though. "In." The monk said and gently plucked a string. "Out." He plucked a deeper one. He kept plucking those to strings. In.....Out.....In.....Out.....In.....Out..... Yang-Chen calmed herself. Another vision came to her. "You can help." Huo said to her. "How?" She said. "In time you'll know." Huo replied. Yang-Chen stood up as several nuns and monks came in. "I am alright now. I'll be going back to bed." Yang-Chen walked out of the room. The old monk playing the instrument smiled. "Are you sure she's the one?" Nun Yan asked. He nodded. "Why do you ask him that? We knew she was the one all along!" Another nun said. "I just wanted to be sure. There have been mistakes made before." Nun Yan huffed.
.....At That Moment.....
The Chief looked down at his 15 year old son. "Such a wonderful warrior you are!" He smiled. His son smiled back. How could either know that in 20 years his son would be a feared killer. He was a sweet big hearted boy now. He got nervous in front of the girl he liked, and went penguin sledding with his friends. How could he become such a cold hearted person? Only time could tell.
In this time period, the Earth Kingdom is much smaller and the Water Tribes are very large. I hope you liked it!

I stopped at the door way when I heard my friends talking about me. "She's hiding something." Jang-Min said. "But what I wonder?" Ai said thoughtfully. "Well when she comes back I'm going to force her to tell us. No matter what." Otoha scowled. She hated not knowing something. "I don't think we should force her guys. We should untill she is comfortable enough to tell us." Hoku said. "I agree with Hoku." Jang-Min stated. "Me too." Ai added. "Ugh! You people are destroying me!" Otoha moaned. "Don't you guys think it's strange she's not telling us? We tell each other everything. " Otoha flopped down on her bed. "We can't force her Otoha!" Ai glared. "Yes we can!" Otoha replied. "You would do good to even try to listen to the monks! Peace and patience aren't even in your vocabulary!" Ai shot back. "Oh and your a perfect little nun-in-training aren't you?" Otoha said. "Atleast I act like an air nomad! Your as hot headed at a fire bender most of the time. I wonder sometimes if you really are an air bender." Ai narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms. Otoha gaped at her. The other girls did as well. Ai had crossed the line. Even though everyone did notice Otoha's personality was nothing like most air benders, no one would ever dare to say something about it. "And your just a prissy little BABY who would be lucky to even get their arrows! Though I highly doubt it." Otoha's eyes were flashing with rage. Ai stood up and walked towards Otoha. "I'm surprised they even let you in the temple. Your so mean and spiteful. You don't care about anything but yourself. That's why your all upset about Yang-Chen! Not because she's suffering inside, but because you don't know the 'big secret' and that's driving you crazy. Maybe you should stop and think about someone else for a change. Oh wait, there's no way you could ever do that. Your just a little misfit air bender who doesn't belong anywhere." Ai had backed Otoha against the wall. They glared at each other, mere inches separted their noses. "I hate you." Otoha said. The other girls gasped. That was a forbidden word in the temples. It was a forbidden feeling. Hate was the cause of everything bad in the universe. Otoha had just said the single most horrible thing anyone could say to someone. Something she could never take back. "I hate you too." Ai said evenly. They stared at each for a few more moments. Then Ai turned away. She walked back to her place and sat down. Otoha stalked out of the room. What had happened to Ai? She would never say something like that. Her name meant love! The oppisite of hate. Yet she had become the most dare I say it, hateful person I'd ever met. Two of my best friends had become enemies. And it was because of me. I walked away from the room. This was just the beginning of the horrible feeling I had. This was just the tip of the iceberg of all the bad things that were going to happen.
Sounds great! I pre write all of White Blank Page, it's just so much easier than trying to come with it as I post it. Anyway, I hope you make a new chapter soon! :)
