Seth ran as fast as his long legs would allow him to, putting on as much speed he needed to escape. The letter 'X' branded in fire on his shoulder burned with pain. He could hear the boots of the scientists behind him and their yelling.
He was the last bender in the world.
Posting a new story soon to replace Beautiful! I still need a title. Any ideas?

In the room beyond the foyer, there were two hallways. Each hallway had a variety of doors. Seth groaned. "How are we supposed to find the way down?"
Pandora chose this time to comment, "It's not like they're going to have a sign saying, 'Entrance To Base This Way', Seth. Think like the enemy." Easy for you to say, Seth thought waspishly. "We're going to have to try both ways. Which way first?"
"Deh right," Lion suggested. "Because... right is alvays right."
Danni started to laugh. Pandora and Seth gave her warning glares. She stopped.
The group began proceeding toward the right hallway when they heard voices. Lion grabbed the three others close to him and pushed them against a wall.
"What are you doing?" hissed Pandora, blushing furiously.
Lion didn't answer, but the answer became apparent as two athletic men passed by, talking. They were all unaware of the four strangers disguised in shadow.
"The base is this way, Thomas," one of them said. "That door."
The man named Thomas thanked him and opened a door right of Lion, Pandora, Seth, and Danni. A smile spread across Seth's face. This was going to be much easier than he thought.
When Thomas disappeared behind the door, Lion pulled them out of the shadow. Danni almost squealed with excitement.
"You rock, Lion!" she whispered loudly.
Lion gave her a small smirk and pushed open the door. Everyone gasped. There was an elevator with see through walls, big enough for six people who had some weight to lose. Due to this it took up the majority of the room. The elevator opened, luring them in.
"Well," Seth said bluntly. "That's our cue."
The group entered. The doors closed. Pandora looked over about twenty buttons, deciding which to press.
"This is like the glass elevator from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!" Danni exclaimed.
Seth smiled at her amazement. She was so beautiful, looking around with those sparkling blue eyes, that one streak in her hair standing out on the blonde.
"I think this one will do it," Pandora said firmly. "The last floor. That is where the base should be, Lion?"
"Yah. If it is not, I vill buy you ice cream." He patted her on the back.
"Shut up." She pressed it.
In a flash, the elevator shot down like a bullet. Everyone screamed, leave Lion, and he sort of squeaked. Seth felt like his heart had burst out of his chest. Danni knocked into him and pressed her manicured nails into his arms to steady herself. No matter. Seth was so terrified he could barely feel them, even though they were long and sharp.
"VHAT DID YOU DO?" Lion bellowed at Pandora.
"I DON'T KNOW!" she cried.
Finally, the elevator came to a complete halt. Lion's fedora was knocked awkwardly on the left side of his head. He shifted it back to normal with a shaking hand. Danni's hair looked like it had been subjected to a whirlwind. Seth swayed from side to side. Pandora looked horrified.
"Que es?! What is that? Some sort of demon elevator?" She gave it a kick.
Lion frowned at her. "Read." He pointed to the buttons. They were divided by two columns. One said, "Normal Speed". The other read, "Fast".
Color rose in Pandora's richly tan cheeks. "Oops."
The quartette walked quickly down a dark hall. Dim yellow lights flickered eerily above their heads. Seth spotted a lone plastic wood door with his green eyes. He recognized it.
"That's the dorm," he muttered. He walked toward it. A firm hand pulled him back.
"Seth!" hissed Lion. "Vhat are you doing?"
The boy turned to him with determination shining in his face. "That's where we all used to sleep. We have to free them!"
"Free who?" Pandora asked.
"Free the experiments."

Lion, Pandora, Seth and Danni stood in front of an intimidating, strangely constructed, tall black building with mirrored windows. Everything about it said cold and sharp. The group was blending in better with the building than with the people around it, though. Pandora was dressed in her uniform. A belt, packed with a variety of gadgetry, was around her waist. Lion wore his usual high end suit and fedora. Danni wore her gymnastic shorts and hoodie to allow her to move freely. She had a real magenta streak in her hair, courtesy of a hair dye set Lion bought her. Seth was in jeans and a black shirt. Wrapped around his shoulder was the piece of metal.
"We're here," Danni said quietly. "At the Phoenixae base."
Lion shook his head. "No, ve are not. Dis is a shell. The real base is under dis very building."
"I knew that," Pandora hastily said. But you've never been to this base before... Seth thought to himself.
"Dere vill guards inside deh building. Dey vill be guarding deh entrace to deh base. Ve vill have to fight dem off and get to deh base before dey call reinforcements. In deh base, ve vill also have to fight-"
Seth interrupted, "Is there anywhere where we won't have to fight people?"
"No."
Seth sighed frustratedly. Perfect.
Lion continued. "Ve vill take down deh leader of Phoenixae, free deh experiments, and victory vill be ours!" He threw his fist in the air and laughed like a madman. A nearby man startled and looked around fearfully.
Pandora glowered at Lion. If looks could kill, Lion would be writhing around on the floor, choking. "Don't draw attention to ourselves."
"Um, we're not exactly camouflaging as we are," Danni said tentatively.
"Just another reason why we should get going. Is everyone ready?" Seth asked.
Everyone nodded. A mixture of tension and determination filled the air. Without another word, Seth slid his hand around one of the glass doorknobs and pushed open the front door. They entered, finding themselves in a foyer with tall ceilings. Straight ahead was a tall steel door. Two guards in tuxedos were on either side of it. The group walked up to them.
Giving the two of them a charismatic smile, Pandora said, "I'm here with some new members. I need to take them to the base."
"Identification?" grunted a guard with dull grey eyes.
"Um, I'm Agent Pandora's Box."
The other guard, a man with a blonde crewcut, laughed. "You were dismissed from your post a long time ago, Panda."
Seth could feel rage come off of Pandora in waves.
"Oh yeah?" she said, controlling her tone. "I never received a notification."
"I think ditching you on a city street did it," said the grey eyed guard. "Pretty sure Terracorren made the message clear."
Pandora took a deep breath. "Well, it wasn't clear to me. Step aside."
The man with the crewcut scowled. "I tried to be all sugar and spice, but I'm afraid I'll have to taze ya if you don't leave the premises immediately." The other man cracked his knuckles menacingly.
"I'm afraid you'll have to postpone that," growled Pandora. Then, without any warning, she blasted fire at the guards. They were knocked to the floor. She turned to Seth. "Now!"
Seth kissed the tips of his fingers and knocked down the metal door. It fell over with a clunk, dents pressed halfway through it. Once everyone ran in the other room, and the guards got up, Seth rammed the door back to its previous position. Before he did, he heard one of the guards say, "Calling backup."
"Nice job, kid," Pandora said smiling. Lion tipped his fedora at him.
Danni grinned. "That was so totally awesome!"
Seth nodded coolly, even though the inside of his was bursting with happiness at his friends' praise. "Come on. We have an evil organization to stop."
I know how ya feel! I miss everyone from when I was on here ages ago. But sadly, aside from Sunny, s6a6r6a6, and someone with "fox" or something in their nickname, I don't really remember any names. I think Beaky was here too, though. I wish I had a better memory when it comes to names. -_-
The next chapter still isn't ready. Here's a sentence from it:
"We're here," Danni said quietly. "At the Phoenixae base."
I am sort of 'bummed out'. I was rereading 'Does Light Always Devour the Dark', and missing Fang. Gosh, it feels like everyone has disappeared off the face of the planet. CityKitty, Rolomus, Rosieann, Purplemas1, etc.
Ugh, I think it did! I checked the LOKFF, and it's not there... It's like not anywhere... That's a disturbing feeling. Luckily, I have all the chapters saved... But it won't feel the same, you know...

Could you tell me why Beautiful (under 3seraphim3) got deleted? Maybe I could do some editing with the format or content to make it better if I knew the reason.

Seth turned out to actually not be the last bender in some of the past chapters. Danni's a waterbender, Pandora a firebender, and Lion a shadowbender. The Phoenixae lied to him.
Is like this other Avatar guy going to turn out to be like the last other bender. And he wants to use Seth as a test subject so he can repopulate he world with 'benders'. Cause he is like a Air Nomad or something and when he dies the cycle is broken. So in all he is a Anti-Hero, or Anti-Villain... Whatever.
Did Beautiful get taken down?! I was looking for it just now and couldn't find it anywhere. Hopefully it's just me having a dumb blonde moment, because that story is my favorite.
