Here are the rules:
1. The story continuation that is the best is the one that wins.
2. Feel no limitations in writing one.
3. Hurry, or else the character might die.
Why do I mention rules such as these? Because you'll need them. You'll need them a lot.
You woke up one morning with a terrible headache. Feeling the back of your head, you find a bump about the size of your fist. It takes a small while, when suddenly you realize something... you have absolutely no memory.
Of course, you don't immediately panic. You don't, after all, remember having a memory!
The only thing that worries you is an intense feeling of something missing. Something's missing. You know you have no memory, but you don't know quite what memory is. You feel something very deep is missing, something which you've had for your whole life... all of a sudden it occurs to you. You don't know how old you are.
Of all the random memory shocks you could have, that one was it. You don't know how old you are. You look at your hands, discovering them thick and calloused, burned too. You look at your legs and discover that your clothes are full of burn marks. They're tattered and ripped, pressing against places in your chest which you immediately know are burn marks. Wow, you're a wreck.
You finally take time to examine your surroundings, finding that you're in the middle of a sort of forest. No, not a forest. A small frock of trees, maybe?
The grass was lush and dark green, gorging in the bright sun overhead; a sun which illuminated blue skies and colorful birds. You turned around and saw a lake about fifty feet away.
No, not a lake. A pond.
A few ducks skimmed over the pond, flying away as a small flock of geese descended into the small waterway. Of course, now you were confused. You had woken up, memory gone, and you were in the middle of a paradise. What next?
Of course you shouldn't have asked that. Immediately after the thought passed your mind, you heard a shout. Before you knew it, six people were running towards you, brandishing all sorts of unsavory weapons. You could run, you guess. But there's a pond behind you, possible blocking a safe escape... What to do?
Of course, our character has to do something, but just what should he do? Write a story continuation, and if it has good qualities, I'll post it as the second part of this story.
@kataanger0
I actually thought the same thing this morning. And btw thanks for the comment on mine. I would've done it there but I forgot to add it in, and I don't want to post more than 2 on it. haha.
You find a shovel next to you, you dig a hole in front of you, making dirt in the peoples faces taking you more time to dig the hole without getting hurt................. 1 hour later they are looking for you, but you lost your memory you don't know where you started from you don't go back or look back, you keep on going forward.Ok you are in your community again!!!! finally you pop up! it was all a dream!
please pick me!
sincerely,

Sorry I didn't post yesterday... due to personal reasons, I won't be able to post again until next Sunday. That's the new deadline for any story continuations.
Just great I?d woken again after my black out with a new decision climb the tree or again swim in the pond so much for what may have started as a day in paridise but I dought it did considering I have no memory and burns on my hands. Now I had more to wonder about the last I remembered someone grabed me but who and did it happen or was I delusional. In the distance it seemed the mob had caught up with me .Just peachy huh. Anyway I ran for the tree but it seemed to far so at last second I caned paths for the pond but at jumping in a bubble formed slowly it floted to the next shore where a girl stood amazed .She mumbled somthjing about me being the last waterbender but in truth that meant nothing to me considering the memory issue .But still it was werid thinking back to earlier in the pond I wonderd if I could move air to .But that just seemed impossible
Mods please post!
Here we go!
As Mia shoved me down the hole I flailed and tried to steady myself in the air. I hit the ground below with a tremendous thud.
?You okay?? Mia asked. She had landed gracefully and was now straitening up. She dusted herself off.
?Fine.? I said, wide eyed and frightened.
?Come on. I know a nice inn a ways from here.? Mia said, walking down a tunnel. I quickly stood and ran after her.
?What happened to the other water-benders?? I ventured.
?Oh,done away with? Mia sighed. ?It happened to all water-benders including my boy friend, Tyler.?
?I?m so sorry.? I whispered.
?I don?t care.? She growled. ?And when my family tried to help, they were gotten rid of too.?
Did I say something wrong? I wondered as I walked along behind Mia.
?Here we are.? Mia sighed. There was a big building, it had a sign that read ?Water-Bender?s Friend Inn?.
?Wow.? I murmured to myself as we pushed the heavy wood door open and went into the crowded common room.
?Mia, so glad you finally came back! Who?s your friend there?? The inn keeper laughed, walking over to talk to a long known friend.
?Hi, George! This is, uh, well, he doesn?t remember his name. But get this, he?s a water-bender!? Mia smiled. I wondered what a water-bender was, again, and soon was being dragged around the room by Mia. The warm fire in the fireplace wasn?t really needed because there was a heater, I guess it was just for decoration. Pale lights set a kind, gentle, welcoming feeling in the room. Soon Mia dragged me up the stairs. ?Okay, uh, I?m just gonna call you Timothy until we find out your real name. But, anyway, this is your room. If you need anything, just give me a knock, my room is at the end of the hall.? Mia smiled, she was a opening a door to a nice room and shoving me in.
?Okay.? I stammered. I closed the door and looked around the room. There was a bedside table with a lamp, a window, which there was no reason for since the inn was literally underground. There was a door leading to a small bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink, and all around the room was nice. The bed was fluffy and warm. Soon I remembered my hands were burned, and so was my chest, and legs. I decided to go check with Mia on what I should do about that. I quickly went to Mia?s room and knocked on the door.
?Hold on just a sec!? Mia called. Soon she came and opened the door. Her hair was dripping wet and she was in her pajamas. ?Yep??
?Uh, well, I was wondering what I should do about these burns.? I said, motioning to my hands, legs, and chest.
?Hm, I don?t know.? She said.
?Okay.? I said. For some reason whenever I was around her my cheeks felt really warm and I felt all nervous.
?Well, see you in the morning.? She yawned, closing the door and leaving me to go back to my room. I quickly went to my room. I decided I should probably wash the burns a little. I gently dabbed at the worst burns with a wet towel, wincing whenever I did.
?Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow.? I mumbled as I cleaned the last of the burns.
I started walking forward, but abruptly stopped, "Wait. Before we go anywhere, explain."
She started, "Well, waterbending was very usual until just about 10 years ago, but when..."
"Hold on! Before that, what is waterbending? And how can you move rocks? I'm so confused." I interupted.
She told me all about bending history, the avatar, earthbending, waterbending, airbending, firebending, the equalists and everything. I then allowed her to explain, and explain she did, "Okay, so as I was saying, many people were waterbenders 10 years ago, but as I told you waterbending came from the moon and ocean spirits which control it. While Avatar Aang was alive, the embodyment of the moon spirit was killed by Admiral Zhai which made waterbending impossible. The princess was touched by the moon so she sacrificed herself to save the spirit, making waterbending a reality once again. And 10years ago someone tried to do the same."
"Was it the equalists, again?"
"No, it was one of the water tribe?s own. Sure he wasn?t a waterbender, but still, he hurt his own people and even more,? she answered.
?How could he? What?s wrong with this guy??
?He wasn?t very well liked by his friends. All of his friends were waterbenders, and they would taunt and pick on him for not being able to waterbend. Obviously, like most people, he was angered by such actions. He wanted revenge.?
I reacted with disaproval, ?No. He didn?t.?
She finished the story, ?He wasn?t the smartest and was very sensitive so he had heard about Zhai, and wanted to eliminate the moon spirit. The one problem, like I said he wasn?t the smartest, is that he got rid of the ocean spirit, hence the moon looking normal. I?m not a big waterbending expert, but long story short, bye bye waterbending.?
?Well, then how come I can do this so called waterbending??
She stared deeply into my pitch black hair, ?You know how Princess Yue was touched by the moon spirit. It has been told that the ocean spirit touched one special waterbender. No one could find him, but rumor has it, he tried getting there himself. You must have the ocean spirit in you!?
It was too much for me, and I guess the bump on my head made me extra woozy. All that information got me dizzy, but that?s not what caused me to faint. I thought. That princess had to sacrifice herself. That must be the same fate for me. Am I nothing but a sacrifice?
I burst out into the light, the men who were chasing me were gone. "Who were those people?" I asked
"They were disciples of the Avatar, until they corrupted and turned against her." told Mia
"What's an Avatar?"
"Well the Avatar is supposed to keep balance and peace in the world, they can bend all the elements. Every time a avatar dies a new one is born,"
"Oh, were are we going?"
"To the only place safe left, Republic City"
"Republic City?" I asked questionly
"We've got to find a way to get your memory back, I'd say a waterbending healer, but that's not really an option," We walked at a decent pace toward the mountains in the distance.
"So what happened between this Avatar and her disciples?" I turned and asked Mia.
"Well it was a dark day, Avatar Akemi was born twenty one years ago right after forty year war. Because of that war the order of the White lotus was seemingly destroyed, so in his dying days Avatar Han created disciples of the avatar. They were to watch over the next Avatar, which they did. Until five years ago the year of sozins comet. They tried to kill Avatar Akemi, she escaped but no one has seen her since. They then with the help of the comet attacked the water tribes and their waterbending members. All waterbenders were thought to be destroyed until you," She let the information sink in.
"Wow, that's horrible," I responded.
"Yes it was,"
"I have a question why did I survive?"
"Well the tale goes that the survivor was a man who lived alone in the icy tundra, when they attacked him he managed to fend them with his rare and horrifying skill,"
"What skill, If that's me, I mean I could-"
"No! I can't tell you its too terrible, anyways you are too young to be him,"
"What do you mean how old do I look?"
"I'm 25, you look about 23, no more questions for now," We walked for a long time, until the sun began to go down. At which point Mia opened up a hole on the side of the road. "Come on follow me," We got down there to find a large cavern and several people dressed in green like Mia. When everyone saw me they gasped, Mia walked over to one old woman and started talking with her. All I heard was 'Last', 'Waterbender'. Then the woman gave a horrified look at me.
