13 yr old Sydney sighed, seeing Australia disappear before her eyes. I wish we didn't have to move. She thought misrably, two hours earlier she'd be on the beach or at the movies but no. They had to move. Sydney glanced at her sister Alex, who was watching a movie on the laptop. Going across the world to America wasn't fun, especally if it was a cold, polluted city like Madhatten. She grabbed her notebook and pencil to start drawing. Hours later the plane landed and Sydney was glad to get off. When they arrived at their apartment, Sydney started to unpack her stufff in her bedroom that she shared with Alex.
"Sydney! Time to go to the zoo!" Her mother called.
Private's POV
"If Sydney denied it then she is his daughter." I asked "Because I didn't know he was alive." Said Sydney, her eyes tearing up. "I didn't know until now. I've grown up believing he was. He died at Antartica, when I was three or so I thought." She finished with several tears in her eyes. "You mean you grew up believing he died. Never really knew him." I said, glancing at Skippa. "I can tell you're new." She said, quietly. "Barely." I replied. She went to Skippa and carried him to his bed.
I guess this turned from 3rd person to 1st person. I have no idea how.
Private's POV
"Hey Kowalski, what just happened and why is Skippa crying?" I asked. "Well evidently Skipper has a daughter who thinks he's dead and........." Kowalski started.(Sorry, I can't really do Rico's sound.) "Whha jabba booa!" Rico finished. "And he's kept us from her?" I said.
That'swhen Skipper fainted and Marlene walked in. "Uhhh, hey guys. I just saw a new penguin and....what the heck happened?" "Apparently Skipper has a daughter but he's never told us." I said quickly "That's strange because I just ran into a penguin and she said she was not related to him."
"Really? No one has called me that for ten years." I growled. "You're not my dad!" "But honey, it's daddy. It's me." He said, desperatly. "No it's not, you are not him and never will be!" I snarled, and left the HQ. "But......." He protested. I exited the room and heard sobbing. "Hey, are you new. I've never seen you before. You look oddly familiar. Are you related to Skipper?" A otter asked."No, I don't even know why I'm here. I've got to go." I replied, uncomfortably. Why am I here? I thought.
I awoke to a penguin watching a unicorn show. "Where am I?" I asked. He turned and told me his name was Private. "The others are gone on a mission but I took an excuse to stay." He told me. "Wait, missions? What is this place?" I asked, confused "This is our HQ, I am part of a commando team." He replied. "So when do they get back? And who is the leader?" I said. "Skippas our leader, and I guess right now." As soon as he said that, three penguins climbed down the ladder. "Syd, is that you?" Skipper asked, "Honey?"
Sydney heard her mother call her. "What? Pack my bags? Where are we going?" She asked. "Pack your favorite movies, technology, and notebooks and pencils. Anything you need. Be ready to go." Her mother replied. "Well, okay but where are we going?" Sydney asked again. But she did as told. Sydney packed The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, and all the Avengers movies. Packing hair stuff, and drawing stuff, Sydney got everything and followed her mother. They arrived at the zoo and kowalski met them. Then something happened.
Skipper looked back at the human that just passed by, she looked liked he had known her. i'll wait for her to come again and then I'll know. He thought, and drank his coffee. Private then, oped his secret drawer and took out a picture of his daughter. "Uh, Skippa who is this?" He asked, curiously. "That's, uhh my........niece." Skipper stammered, he couldn't say daughter or else they would never respect him. He sighed, it was better kept a secret. If only he could see the girl again, he could finally figure it out.
When they arrived at the Central Park Zoo, Alex ran straight over to the penguin's habitat. She looked over and saw the penguins. And the second smallest penguin looked so..........familiar. Sydney shook it out of her head and went to see the other animals. The lemurs were dancing with a boom box? And the elephant was painting on the wall, and the kangaroo was punching a punching bag. This definently isn't a normal zoo, she thought as she exited the zoo. Then that penguin looked so familiar, it was like he was related to her......
