Part 1:
I look out the frosty window to see an army of trees standing as if they were standing guard of something.Bored, I look more closely and see colors scattered all around their bark. All of them have a different story even though they look the same.
Suddenly, the strange woman that is driving through the depressing weather takes me out of my trance."I am not sure what your power is or who you are, but Professor Xavier said that you have a very secretive personality. He also said you prefer driving instead of flying. My name is Ororo, by the way.You will probably be calling me Professor Storm, though, when you start taking my classes. What is your name."
Her white hair glistens in the shadowy air and my strange eyes meet her soft face for the first time since I got into this car.I could instantly see loss and hurt curve in bright colors across her face.To make the sadness stop, I closed my right (and black eye) so I would only see black and white, "My name is Dorrie."
Sorry for the lack of posts from me! I have finally gotten some free time while I am sick. Anyway, thanks Creedling for posting Shadow. Her powers seem very dark and spooky. It terrific! I will need some villains later in the story, but not for quite a few posts (so her name may not come up right away). To everyone that has also posted characters to me lately, I am sorry but I have not been able to squeeze any new people in the past posts. I will try to get them in soon!
Thanks to all readers and your patience!
Part 125:
It may seem strange that my contacts would burn and dislodge so easily, but my contacts are not just normal contacts. Yes, they are brown to make my eye look normal, but that is not what I am talking about.
My eyes do not just appear strange and see strange things, but are also incredibly strong. When I say that, I mean literally, not figuratively. Once when I was passing a baseball with my brother, I wasn't paying as much attention as I should have. Quoted from the nice doctor:
"The impact of the hit should have caused major damage to the cornea, but only bruised the skin surrounding the eye. It is a miracle."
Miracle? Right, like this power is anything but a curse. Anyway, that, and many other injuries, was when I found that my eyes were extremely tough. They also rejects any alien substances; my eyes will start to slowly burn the object. Including simple contacts.
It took a lot of time, and money, to find contacts that could fight against my eyes. This doesn't exactly sound great, but it just means that the contacts will not burn through after a few days. Of course, this does mean that my eyes are constantly in a fight with my contacts, which obviously means pain. Seems simple to understand, but is still very complex for a six-year-old to understand when her eyes are stinging with pain.
Part 124:
After having our lengthy conversation, I had to race to my next class. Thankfully, the class had just started. Ororo did not seem to mind, but waved me my seat quickly. Dell had even saved a seat for me. I guess making friends is not as hard to make here.
My old school was very prestigious for a public school. Even the bullies were held to certain standard. Anyone who did not fit the standard was considered an outcast. My older brother and sister definitely made my starting reputation easy. Now if I was not a mutant, I could have easily been popular.
No one knew that I was a mutant, of course, my parents made sure of that, but that didn't stop from people thinking I was off. The fact that I would know a person's name without meeting them yet or the constant trips to the bathroom to fix my contacts made me very unique in the school's eyes. Unique in a bad way, not good.
Part 123:
As I roll my eyes at George's stubbornness, I make my way to class with Dell. Everything was normal except the professor. Professor Xavier acted on the outside the same as always, but I could see with my vision that something was wrong. His emotions seemed more sympathetic and...and I don't know. It was just different.
By the end of class, the professor kept me behind to probably discus next weeks classes. I had luckily taken all my papers that I finished late last night.
Our conversation was identical to our others previously in the week, but it felt different. My mind was trying so hard to remember every word as if it was our last. Sadly, the only words I can remember of the chat is the professor saying, "Do not worry. If anything goes wrong, it can only get better. You are ready for this."
"Thank you professor, I hope your trip goes well."
i have an idea for a character if you need one:
Name: Shadow
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Powers: bonding with shadows and controlling, can't be hurt while in shadow form
Features: Long pitch-black hair
Personality: shadowy and sinister, doesn't trust anyone and telepaths can't get into her head
History: She doesn't tell her past
Extra: She used to be part of Weapon-X but no-one knows, doesn't like Wolverine one bit and secretly has connections to the person who ordered Wolverine's adamantium skeleton
sorry i like the villains so she could be a villain if you want. hope you can have her in your story
Im SO sorry that I have not been posting very much lately. School and other activities have been taking up half of my time while sleep has been taking up my other half. I will try to post Part 123 soon. I promise I will try to get farther than Friday in the story.
Thanks to all readers
Part 122:
Again, Professor Ororo settled the audience down and sent everyone to their classes. Of course, we stuck around to congratulate George and Francis. I would have congratulated Damien too, but he was already long gone with his other friends.
Virginia immediately ran to Francis to hug him. We all knew she was worried out of her mind just a few short minutes ago, but she put on a bright, enthusiastic smile to congratulate Francis. Even without my power, I would still be able to tell she was faking her way through her clapping and squealing.
By the time it was my turn to get my hug from George, her eyes shot straight to my forehead. "Ooh, you look nice with your bangs back. Now only if you would take off those bulky sunglasses."
My hands quickly grabbed onto the protective-eyewear and George, of course, started giggling. "I am just kidding, or am I. Why do you always try to cover your eyes and eyebrows?"
She playfully hugs me and strokes the tight vines wrapped around my hair. "Do not even think about taking them out, or else I will just make them tighter!" And with that, George was off to her next class and I was left with my bangs back and no way to get them off!
I have a few characters. I know I have a lot so you don?t need to add all of them:
Name: Hope
Mutant Name: Angelic and Demona (as bad)
Age: 13
Gender: female
Power: angel and demon and also acid spit
Looks: blonde hair (almost white) with pale skin and bright blue eyes. When she turns into Demona, she has dark red hair, red eyes, and pale skin.
Personality: A vegetarian, loved nature and life, is kind to everyone. As Demon, she?s the total opposite, plus she?s evil
Extra: As Angelic, she has angel wings, as Demona, she has demon wings. She can lose control of her mutant powers, turning her into an evil mutant that goes by the name Demona.
Crush: Hunter
Back story: At first, her parents accepted her, but then after they saw Demona, they became afraid. She ran away, and Xavier found her.
Name: Aaron A
Mutant Name: Tiger
Age: 13
Gender: female
Power: can turn into felines, can communicate with animals, can grow claws, and can turn any part of her into a feline?s (ex: she can turn her hands and feet into feline (usually white tigers) paws so she can climb) and can make force-fields (only for a little bit. The longer she holds them, the more energy she loses)
Looks: Brown hair, green eyes, tan skin.
Personality: Friendly, kind, loyal, brave, likes to fight
Extra: Has trouble turning into specific felines. Ex: if she tries to turn into a lion, she?ll turn into a cheetah, ect.
Crush: Wolfegang
Back-Story: At the zoo one day, someone tried to catch her, but a wild cat came to her rescue. She later fell into the White Tiger part of the zoo, but they comforted her. A year later, at home, she turned into a Bengal Tiger. Her parents freaked, and she ran away, finding Xavier and changing her name to Aaron A.
Name: Wolfegang
Mutant Name: Alpha
Age: 14
Gender: male
Power: The power of wolves, and other canines. He can turn into canines, communicate with them, can turn any part of him into a feline?s: (ex: he can turn his hands and feet into canine (usually wolf) paws) and he also has vision powers: Night, X-ray, Heat, Freeze, and Telescopic Vision (but he cannot look into people?s minds or see the past or present)
Looks: Black hair, long for a boy, dark blue eyes, tan skin
Personality: He is protective, not afraid to fight, loyal, kind, brave
Extra: He has a pet German Sheppard- Collie Mix that he ran away with. Her name is Karrissa
Crush: Aaron
Back-Story: At the zoo when he was little, a girl fell into a habitat (Which was actually Aaron) , and was comforted by Tigers. Wolfegang?s younger sister (who was 3) got excited and jumped in while her parents weren?t looking. Wolfegang jumped after her, protecting his younger sister. He acted like a wolf, out of instinct, and later accidently turned into a wolf. He ran away that day, with only his pet with him.
Name: Hunter
Mutant Name: Omega (isn?t related to his power, but related to his best friend)
Age: 15
Gender: male
Power: Duplication (can make copies of himself and can make different versions of himself (including from the past or future)) Invisibility (but is terrible at that) and immortality.
Looks: Light brown hair, light green eyes
Personality: brave, protective, kind, goes with the flow rather than being a leader
Extra: He needs to work on his powers
Crush: Hope
Back-Story: He unintentionally created an evil version of himself. The evil version of himself made him leave, and made his family and friends betray him. He?s not even sure if the evil version of himself is still there. He regrets leaving, and thinks he should have fought.
Part 120:
My first instinct was to yell at Eli to stay out of my head, but I had no choice but to let him help. It's not like I could do much on my own. All I could do for Halo is to trust my plan will work.
My face stared deeply at George's face, waiting for what I am looking for. Suddenly, she jumped the tiniest bit and searched in the direction I believe Eli is in. At first, she glared at him slightly, but she then looked worriedly up at Halo and Terrance rocketing to Earth. George seemed reluctant, but was obviously willing to help with determination printed on her face.
Once I knew that George was ready to follow the plan, I sat at the edge of my seat hoping that this idiotic idea will actually work. No one was paying any attention to the ground because of the scene in the air, so it didn't startle anyone when George crouched on in the grass. Minutes turned to seconds and seconds turned to milliseconds as Halo calmly fell to possibly her death.
Then, the moment happened. The milliseconds were gone, the height was gone, and all that was left was the hope that it would all work. Terrance seemed to shrink from his gigantic dinosaur as the ground came closer to come to a safe landing. Halo on the other hand was going to not land as gracefully. For the first time, I saw actual, rock hard worry in George?s face. She had to do this perfectly, and she knew it.
Right as Halo faced the height of the top of the trees, George started to press roughly against the ground. Just in time, an explosion of plants arises. Huge vines curled in a circle catch her as flowers and weeds cushion her fall. Everyone gasps at the unexpected play. My first thought is that she has passed out from the impact of the fall, but after a few silent seconds, she stands up with her hands held up and her wings spread out.
Part 121:
The whole audience clapped at her amazing landing, but she stops them midway. Her hands shakily gesture for George to come. George makes the vines shrink so that she can get to the actual ground.
Halo immediately takes George's hand and lifts as high as she can. "This is the winner of this power dual!" She yells to all of us. It takes a few moments for everyone to get what she is saying, but when they do, the loudest bravo of the match was created.
Halo and George did not know the whole story, and I don't expect they will ever know. All that Halo knew was that George saved her from a tragic accident, and all George knew was that Eli (of all people) helped her do it.
Their teams stood next to the leaders of their groups and bowed. George's team jumped up and down for winning a power dual! Halo's team was good sports and clapped, but they couldn't seem to get why she threw the match. Again, I don't think anyone will find the real answer anytime soon. Even after this long, no one has figured it out.
Sorry everyone! I just wanted to add a little suspense and excitement. Thanks Iluvuall92! Maggie is a very interesting character and I would love to add her.
