Jake's pov
The halls got quite so I look up from my locker. A girl in high tops black jeans, a leather jacket, and a red tee shirt with a sparkley black heart on it. Where have I seen her before? I ask. She's in the band Princesses and minions (made it up). A girl says that walks by. The girl stops at the locker next to mine. Hey, I'm Jake. I say. I'm Angel. She says. So your new here? I ask. On and off. She says opening her locker. Can I ask you something? I ask. If it's you want to go out, can I have an autograph, can you sing something, or can I borrow money it's no. She says. No, it's have you gotten your scores back from the career test? I ask. No Stockly said he'd tell me later. She says. Awesome I'll see you later. I say. Yeah. She says in a differnt voice than earlier. She smiles and walks away. Jake are you trying to hit on another girl? Haley asks me. Have you ever heard of the band Princesses and Minions? I ask. It sounds familiar. She says. She's in it. I say.
Chapter 35 Angel's pov
I go back to the ballroom Karina and Lane were still fighting. I take the mic and make it squek. Look if you two can't fix this by tomorow your both out of the band. I say and jump off stage. So you get to kick people out of the band now but we don't? Lane asks. Well this is my band you didn't have to join. I say. What is your problem with each other anyways? I ask. Just fix it by tomorow or your out pretty simple thing to fix. I say. The three of you just come prepared to make some changes just in case. I say. Brady and Chance I'll see you when I get home. I say and walk out. Karina runs up to me. You would actually kick your best friend out of your band? She asks. Look this is important to me you've guys messed up three concerts in our tour. I don't want you to make me look like a fool in front of my friends, teachers, and Jake. I say. What's so special about Jake? She asks. He's my boyfriend. I say and keep walking. Your what? She asks.
Chapter 34 Angel's pov
Karina's dress was black at the chest and red at the bottom with black lace over the red. My dress was red at the top and black at the bottom with red lace over the black. Chance and Braxton had a red tux with a black bow tie. Brady and Lane had a black tux with a regular red tie. I matched us up. I say. Why red and black? Lane asks. It's a valentine dance and black goes with everything apperently you need another fashion lesson. I say. No please don't. He says. I like pie. Chance says. Who doesn't? Brady asks. Diabetics and crazy people. I say. True. Karina says. After a few minutes we started practicing. Then Karina and Lane starting fighting. How did you two get on the same side? I ask. I look at Haley. We need to go. She mouths. I hop off stage. It usally takes them an hour or so to stop fighting. I say. Wow. Jake says. We found a way to track the gelactive hug monster and it would be inside the school. Okay we have to keep it ion the school. Haley says.
Chapter 33 Angel's pov
Who set this up? I ask. I did. Haley says. It's backwords. I say. Chance only plays on the left and Braxton on the right. I say. I tried to tell her. Felix says. I'll fix it. I say. Come on Jake. I say. He follows me and changes it. Braxton is playing drums so I'm playing keyboard. I say. Chance is playing electric guitar. After about ten minutes Jake and I had it fixed. He was out of breath. Dude you need to start working out. I say. Brady and Chance walk in. I wave and go do the band's handshake with them. Where's everyone else? I ask. They were delayed. Brady says. okay guys that's Haley, Mr. Stockly, and Jake. I say. Other people this is Brady and Chance. I say. You got the equitment up right. Chance says. Yes we did. I say. Cool. Brady says. Oh I got the costums but I'm going to have to wait till everyone if here. I say. Then they walk in. We were just talking about how horrible you guys were. I say. Thanks. Lane says. Okay costums. I say.
Chapter 31 Angel's pov
Two weeks later.I just got the brace taken off. I can walk again. Tomorow is the dance. The band and I are meeting up at school tonight. Haley, Jake, and Felix are setting up. Mr. Stockly is "Supervising". A monster has gotten out it's not to dangerous it's a hug monster but does hugs sometimes are hard. Jake and I leave the doctor's office. Now don't get too crazy the doctor said to rest it. Jake says. Geronimo. I say. I can't make promises. I say. How did I get the job of babysitting you? He asks. Because we're both awesome. I say. So I'm awesome? He asks. Maybe. I say. Why don't we have people drive us places? I asks. I don't know? He asks. We get to school. No running slash jumping. Jake says reading from the doctor's note. What fun you are. I say. He hands me a lolly pop. Ooh lolly pop. I say. When I walk through the door of the ballroom I throw my lolly pop behind me into the trashcan. I see the instruments on the stage set up backwords.
Chapter 30 Angel's pov
It was a opossum. Haley says. That was a loud scream Haley. Felix says. That was Jake. Haley says. I thought it was a skunk. he says. We laugh. It's 6:45. Haley says. Might as well stay up. She says. Yeah. We agree. At eight O'Clock we ate breakfast. We ate french toast and hashbrowns. Someones phone rang. I went over to the pile of phones. Not this phone or this one or this one or this one wait why is there an extra phone? I ask. Answer it. Felix says. I answer it. Tommy are you still at that house? A girl asks. Who is this? I ask. Oh wrong number bye. She says and hangs up. Weird. I say. Who was it? Felix asks. She was calling to see if Tommy left the house yet. I say. Well has he? Felix asks. Like I don't know. I say. I hope he's okay I mean it's been so long since Tommy left. I say. Who's Tommy? Jake asks. Have no clue. I say. So do you think it's Tommy's phone? Haley asks. It kind of looks like mine I might've picked it up by accident. I say.
Chapter 29 Angel's pov
I wake up to another crash. This time it was just Jake and I awake. Do you think it was a cat? I ask. No. Jake says. He gets up so do I. Do you think it was a monster? I ask. Well we're kind of monster magnets. He says. We hear another crash. It's coming from upstairs. I say. Come on let's go. He says. He takes my hand. He goes up the stairs in front of me. We hear another crash it was from Haley's room. Jake opens the door we go inside. What are you two doing up here? Haley asks. We heard another crash. I say. Hayley's cat Pumpkin walked at our feet. I told you it was Pumkin she was probally trying to get out. Haley says picking her up. Then we heard another crash. You stay here. Jake says to us. Well it could be dangerous without us having weapons. He says. Okay go. Haley says. I pet Pumpkin. Do you think it's a monster? I ask. I have no clue. She says. We hear a scream. Haley hands me Pumpkin and runs down there.
Chapter 28 Jake's pov
Angel fell asleep during the first Iron man. Haley and Felix fell asleep during the second. I did in the middle of the third. Then something made a loud boom. We wake up. What was that? Angel asks. Haley looks over. Pumpkin probally knocked something over. We lie back down. Night. We say.
Chapter 27 Angel pov
For the rest of dinner I tuned them out. It was soon time for Randell to go. He told the other people goodbye I walked out to the car with him. Look I know you remeber what happened today. Please keep it a secret like we did for Felix. I say. Yeah I promise it's our little secret. He says. Our little secret. I say. We hug. See you later bro. I say. Later sis. He says. Oh yeah give Haley this. He says and gives me a sheet of paper. Will do. I say. After he drove away I go back inside. I give Haley the sheet of paper and we go to Haley's house. It was a movie night thing where we slept at her house, watched movies and stuff. We set up the sleeping stuff. The boys sleep on sleeping bags on the floor. Haley and I got the two couches. First movies we watched was Narnia series. Then we watched Read it and Weep it. Then Bridge to Teribithia. Ladie and Felix sto crying. Jake says. Oh you know you were crying the hardest. I say. Then we watched Iron Man 1, 2, and three.
Chapter 26 Angel's pov
My phone rings it was my mom again. I'm going to take this. I say to Jake and walk outside. Hello. I say. Decieded to answer this time did ya? She asks. Well now that I control my own life I decieded to answer when I felt like it. And dang it feels good. I say. Well you've got my. She starts to say and I see Felix, Haley, and Randell. Wait a sec. I say. I wave. Jake is in there. I say. Okay carry on. I say. You've got my son against me. She says. Well you were trying to get my brother against me. I say. Well he should be you're just a brat. She says. Maybe I am but that's no reason to get my best friend against me. I say and hang up. When I do Robert walks up to me. Your mom told me you'd be here. He says. Leave me alone. I say. I was thinking maybe we should give it another try. He says. No, I don't want to see you or her ever again. I say. Angel. He says as I walk inside. I go sit back down again. You okay? Jake asks. No. I say. I just tuned them out.
Chapter 25 Angel's pov
Let's get out of here. I say. I'm going back to Felix house to take a shower. Randell says. You guys coming? Felix asks. We'll catch up. Jake says. He and Haley left. That was my brother. I say. Okay. He says. I hug him. You don't care that I'm all cocooney gooish? He asks. Nah. Maybe a little bit. I say and step away. Felix called Jake. He says that's he's going to snark Randell. Jake says. I nod. We walk to Jake's house. He takes a shower and I play a video game with Phoebe. Jake comes in. Bye Phoebe. I say. Bye Angel. She says. Randell says he wants to go out for dinner before he leaves. Felix and Haley are coming too. Do you want to come? I ask. Sure. Jake says. Well let's go because he reserved it for seven and it's 6:30. I say. He opens the door. We walk to the restraunt. Jake and I sit beside each other. We were the first ones there. So how'd you figure it out? Jake asks. Instinct. I say. Chapter 24 Angel's pov (Maybe 25)
I had made my descion. I shot Felix first he turned into a monster. It's always family first. I say. I turn to Haley and Jake. Hey Jake how bout dinner tonight maybe not. I say and shoot him. He turns into a monster. How did you know it wasn't me? Haley asks. Felix hates when people call motorcycles bikes. I say. And Jake said the monster ate you guys or something like that and he should know better than anybody that they wrap you in a cocoon then eat you when your all liquidy. I say. So how are we supposed to get them out? She asks. Like I said I studied the Verci alot I know them from head to toe there is a certain spot to shoot. Right there. I shoot at one and Randell comes out. Hey bro. I say. Hi. He says. Who's your friend? He asks. That's Haley. I say. So you said right there. Haley says and shoots at the one Felix was in. I guess you could do it that way but I do it more in this general area. I say and shoot at Jake's cocoon.
Chapter 23 Angel's pov
One down two to go. I say. How'd you know he was a monster? Haley asks. Well my real brother doesn't know about monsters. I say. We could've told him. She says. Well he wouldn't believe you trust me I know my brother more than he does. I say. Carry on with your stories. I say. But realized I was interested in the Verci so I did alot of research. I say. Jake went next. It wasn't me I came in here after them and called you then they were about to eat me then you came in. He says. I smile at him then say Felix. Well I came in and there were three cocoons. He says. Got it. I say. And Jake and Haley's bike's were here. I nod. Then three minutes later you showed up. Felix says. And Angel they were about to get me. He says and steps towards me. Stay back. I say and hold up my weapon. He steps back. Look I'm not your boyfriend or cousin but I'm not the verci but if you came thirty seconds later I would be one. She says. It took me a few minutes to make my decision.
Chapter 22 Angel's pov
Jake hands me a weapon I could tell there was tention between us. I don't know why. Thanks. I mutter. Once we got outside Felix suggested that we should split up. What about Angel do you know what your doing? Haley asks. I'll figure it out. My phone rings it was my mom. Are you going to answer that? Haley asks. Nah it's not important. I say. We split up. About three hours later Jake coms me. We've been captured by the verci he sends me an address and then it cuts off. When I get there there were three cocoons. Randell, Felix, Haley, and Jake were there. I looked at the cocoons. Three of us are in there and one of us is not you have to figure it out in time to save those three people. Haley says. I nod. Angel it's not me in there I'm telling you the truth we never lie to each other. Randell says. I'm not the monster. He says. Without much thought I zapped him he turned into a monster then vanished. I didn't even know how to use that thing. I say.
Chapter 20 Randell's pov
I raced walked back to Mom's house. Randy baby your home do you want some icecream? She asks coming inside in a sundress. Don't I look like a doll in the traitor's old dress. She says. Mom I want to talk to you about Angel she says that you kicked her out. I say. Now she's lying about me. Mom says. She wouldn't lie she would've told me the truth we always do no lies. I say. That's what she wanted you to think Randy baby please trust you mom. She says. No I'm going to trust my sister. I say and walk out the door and slam it. They're was a man on the lawn and he kidnapped me.
Angel's pov
I go to head quarters. Haley and Flix were pacing. A verci has escaped. Stockly says. Aren't they shape shifters? I asks. Yes. Jake says. Well you guys need to find it. Stockly says. Before it takes the city. He adds. This is my first mission that I get to fight on my leg doesn't hurt as much and I get it off in less than two weeks.
Chapter 20 Angel's pov Two weeks later
Jake and I were officially a couple now. Pst. I hear from behind me. I turn around it was my brother Randell. I hug him. I missed you so much how is your latest movie? I ask. Let's go talk over here. He says. We turn the corner and sit down on a bench.
Jake's pov
I was around the corner when I heard and saw Angel with that guy. Maybe it was someone from her band but they seemed a little bit cozy. I hope it was someone from her band not that she was cheating on me.
Angel's pov
Mom said that you two had a fight and you left her to pay the bills and take care of everything. Randell says. Randell that's not true she kicked me out and told me that I wasn't aloud to come back or be a part of her life. I say. Okay I believe you. He says. Randell and I are always honest with each other we're best friends and siblings. Ever since dad died she's been this way towards me trying to control my life. I say. Randell hugs me. I'll see you later. He says.
Chapter 19 Jake's pov
Open up to page 713 and work with the person beside you. teacher says. How much homework do you have? I ask Angel. Umm like five pages. She says. I'll just do it during lunch. She says. We finish the page and talk about stuff. You'd like my bandmates. She says. Would they like me? I ask. I know Chance and Brady would. She says. Chance likes almost everyone and if your not rude to Brady then he likes you. She says. Unless your me. Felix says. Chance likes you. She says to Felix. No Brady I heard him say at Christmas that he doesn't like Felix. Felix says. He said he doesn't like Felix. Felix is Karina's dog. She says. So your friend has a dog named Felix that your cousin Brady hates. I say. Yeah Felix bit him it took off skin. She says. That sounds like it would hurt. Haley says. Angel takes out her phone and puts it under the table and texts her friend. She laughs and turns off her phone. Three periods later lunch time.
Chapter 18 Angel's pov
Just come sit down Angel. Haley was just explaining the monster problem last night. Mr. Stocly says. Okay. I say and sit down on one of the couches. Why are you here? Mr. Stockly asks. Well I spent the night at Felix's house and his next door neighboors had a dog the dog barked all night I fell asleep in class like five times she sent me here because she thought. I say and yawn. Well Angel you sit right there. He says and gets pixie stix out of a bag and a mountain due out of his tiny refridgrater. Thanks. I say. Haley you can g to class. Mr. Stockly says. After I finished the two energy boosters I went to class. Ms. Sparks why are you late? Teacher asks. I hand her the late excuse. Sit down. She says. I sit down beside Jake, behind Felix and diagnol from Haley. Jake passes me a note. Where did you go? He asks. I write down. Mr. Stockly gave me candy and soda. Lucky. He puts down. Okay class open up your math books to page 713. Teacher says.
Chapter 17 Jake's pov
At school the next day. Angel and Felix look tired. What happened to you two? I ask. The dog wouldn't stop barking. Angel says and slurred her words. The next door neighboor's dog wouldn't stop barking. Felix says. I understood that. I say. Angel fell asleep. Felix did some military thing and she woke up. That's how they wake you up when your on tour. Felix says. How do you know? I ask. Remeber on last month when I went to California. That was with her on tour. He says. Angel walks over to her locker. I left my science homework at Randell's mom's house. She says. Who is Randell? I ask. Her brother. Felix says. We got to class after that. At homeroom Angel fell asleep three times. Everytime The teacher would give her extra homework. The teacher told her to stay after class the third time.

I stayed after class. Here is a late pass now go see the guidence counciler Mr. Stockly. She says. Okay. I say. When I get in there Haley was already there.

Welcome home Felix. Aunt Mary says and looks up. Angel why are you here? She asks. Mom kicked me out and for good so I was wondering if I could stay here for a little while? I asks. Thanks, and Felix can you put the food in the fridge or freezer? I ask. Sure. He says. Thanks you're the best. I say. I get my laptop out. I send video chat to my band. Hey guys. I say when they were all on. So what's up? Chance asks. Well I just had a fight with my mom and she kicked me out now I live with Felix and his parents. I say. That's cool. Brady says. Brady is our cousin too. That you live with Felix not that you got kicked out. He says. After about an hour of talking I went to sleep.
