This story is how the Forest Rangers were formed + came to be.
Luke, Katherine, Thomas, Jane + Mark were just 5 ordinary kids w/ special talents. Luke is a born-leader + a great stratigest, Katherine is a bit of a science geek + likes 2 build things, Thomas is a fighting + athletic jock, Jane is very creative + artistic + Mark is a peacemaker. All they knew about their families' past was that either their mothers or fathers died + left them a necklace. What they didn't know was that they were the 2nd generation of Forest Rangers. One day when they were in the forest at the same place, same time, they meet Ivy. Ivy is their mentor or in gardening terms, "care-taker". Just before they could learn anything, there is an attack. They go in their ranger forms + save a little girl. Luke finds a pin belonging to the girl after they get her home safely, a Mockingjay pin. They didn't know that they were going to see her again as the Rainbow Samurai Ranger. As they learn who they are, they find out that the attack was the beginning of a new evil. The Forest Rangers must stop this evil before it is too late to save the forest.
Hey, sorry I haven't gotten a chapter up lately. I've been busy with school and the school musical. We're doing How To Succeed In Business Without Even Trying. I've had late nights because of this but I when a get a chance, I work on a chapter. I'll try to get one up soon.
Chapter 49 Hole-y Situation (Part 2):
Susan lied there in the hospital bed, thinking about how she was going to get the device back. Plus, she had to keep herself out of boredom: she rummaged through her bag, got up and walked around a little, she even looked at a picture of her and her parents when she was a baby. Somehow it ended up there for some reason.
Her mother, Ivy, looked happy with the baby holding the white swan necklace. The father, the one who Ivy had called Derek, seemed unfamiliar to her though the smile was familiar.
From time to time, she would remove the bandages enough so that way she could see if anything had changed. If anything, they seemed to slowly be growing.
When she tried to get some rest, she heard a whisper, saying, "Enjoy the last moments of your life," then she felt something painful in her arm.
Looking down at it, she saw a syringe where the pain was coming from and when she looked up, there was the Darkmite.
The Darkmite smiled and said, "Sulker will be the last person you see."
Unknowingly, Susan had pushed a button to signal one of the other nurses. When footsteps were heard, Sulker disappeared.
A nurse ran into the room and noticed the syringe that was still in Susan's arms. She pulled it out and called for assistance.
Another nurse ran into the room, followed by the other three doctors. Susan didn't know what was going but one things for sure; it wasn't good.
She blacked out for some time and when she came to it, the three doctors were surrounding her. "What just happened?" Susan asked, still a bit groggily.
"Someone must have came in here and injected you with some nasty stuff," Dr. Foremen said soothingly.
"Luckily we got here on time and saved your life," Dr. Taub added.
Susan sat up and placed her hand near her neck. The necklace was still there and her connection to the past.
"We're going to put security outside your room to make sure that this doesn't happen again," Dr. Hadley said.
Susan, still a bit shaken, said, "Could I leave the room though? I want to be able to walk around more then I can now."
The trio looked at each other before Dr. Foremen said, "I think that will be fine as long as someone is with you."
Susan nodded and after they drew some blood, she closed her eyes and went to sleep.
Chapter 49 Hole-y Situation:
Susan knew that she was in a sticky situation when Dr. Hadley asked her the question.
"Susan, is everything ok?" Dr. Hadley asked, worried.
She shook her head and said, "Yeah, I'm fine. The thing is . . . I know what's wrong with me. I was poisoned, but my cure was stolen and now it's coming back," Susan said while putting air quotes on the word "cure." "The person who stole it is somewhere within the building. It looks like a cone-shaped piece of metal with a triangle in the circle."
Dr. Hadley nodded in response and said, "You probably don't want to go into too much detail, so I get it. I will keep you secret and will lie to House if he asks anything. You can trust me if you need anything else with it."
Susan smiled as she pulled out the white swan necklace from her bag and put it on. Dr. Hadley was going to say something about it but decided against it. Giving a smile and a nod of her head, she left the room.
No one could look into the room and she tried to relax little.
Dr. Hadley walked into the office where the rest of the team was waiting for her. She had the forms filled out about Susan Love so they had a bit of a medical record of her, which was strange. She had left, forgetting to ask her about them and here they are, already filled out.
"What do we know about our patient?" House asked while swinging his cane around a bit.
"She is a sixteen-year-old female who is studying in the medical career. There is no problems with her except for the markings and that. Oh, she is also really attached to this necklace she has," Dr. Hadley said before sitting down.
"This girl seems really sweet. Why would someone want to hurt her? What about the other patient?" Dr. Taub acknowledged Dr. Foremen.
"We cleaned up the wound and tried to close it up but it wouldn't for some reason. We're waiting on results so we have an idea what to put him on," Dr. Foremen said.
They talked for a bit more about the man until House had stopped swinging his cane and he said, "What about the girl? For all we know, those markings are actually tattoos. Maybe she isn't who she said she is and is really a . . ."
"No House! For all we know, it could be a case that someone is getting back at her for something," Dr. Foremen said sternly.
"What about the stuff we found? We could test that and see what it is. It could help us find the source to of her illness," Dr. Taub suggested.
"That's the best thing we got. So, hop to it then," House said a bit sarcastically.
The three got up and walked out the door.
"There's something strange about Susan. I have a feeling that she knows more then she is letting on," Dr. Foremen said.
Dr. Hadley looked away before Dr. Taub said, "It's probably something about her past that's getting to you."
Just then, all three of their pagers went off and once they'd checked them, they made a run for Susan's room.
Chapter 48 Foul Play:
Mark was really worried when TK was taken off the field. He wasn't sure how this was going to end up, for himself at least.
"Kid, the best thing you can do for him is to get some rest. I must say though, you do have some skills. Have you ever thought about playing football?" the coach asked Mark.
Mark turned toward the black man and said, "My friend does sports, not me. I'm more of a peacekeeper if that. The only reason I know how to fight is for emergencies and self defense."
"Do you have a place around here you can stay at?" Mark shook his head. "I followed him from this woman's house. Seemed like they knew each other," Mark replied looking out into the wind.
"Dr. Santino, she nice. If I asked her, she might let you stay there," the coach said and walked away to make a phone-call.
He wasn't sure how this is going to work but he knew he had no other choice.
"You can stay here in the guest room for the time being. My daughter and I pretty much live here. My son left so it's quiet around here now."
Mark nodded his head and said, "Thank you, Dr. Santino. I really appreciate it."
"Oh please, call me Dani," the woman said.
"Short for Danielle?"
She looked at Mark, surprised. "Why yes. How did you know?"
"Lucky guess," Mark replied.
"Well if you need anything, don't be afraid to ask. Oh, and the coach you met, his name is Purnell," she said and left.
Mark sat down on the bed and looked at his watch and chip. Those two items were his link to FPD and he couldn't lose them. He knew that he and the others had to get back as soon as possible if this is an attempt for the Darkmites to get control of FPD.
He was a peacekeeper and he has to protect FPD at any cost.
That night Mark tried to fall asleep and to relax, but he couldn't relax, an impulse he has had of late.
Eyes closed and finally started to relax, he heard a noise that was scary but yet strangely familiar. So getting up, he looked out the window to see a figure outside, like he was trying to find a way in.
Carefully, but quietly, he went downstairs and went outside. When he wasn't visible to any windows within the area, he morphed into his suit using the green dragon necklace and moved toward the creature.
"So, you've come to see Madle. Am I right Green Ranger?" the Darkmite asked when Mark was near, but he still had his back turned toward Mark.
"You're the one that was sent here to destroy me? There has already been one casualty because of you and for all I know, you cost him his career!" Mark yelled at him in a way that he never has done before.
With a scoff from Madle, he turned around and started to fight Mark.
Bouncing off structures and other objects, Mark used his surroundings to maneuver himself and use it to his advantage. He knew he had to try and be as quiet as possible so that way he didn't wake anyone up to find a monster and a person in green spandex fighting each other in the middle of the night, in someone's backyard.
When it seemed like Mark had the upper hand, he went in for one more strike but when it hit him, he disappeared and he said, "Until we meet again Green Ranger."
That morning, Mark was already downstairs when Dani came down and saw that her backyard was a war-zone. "What happened last night?"
Mark shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don't know. It was like this when I came down. If you want, I can clean it up for you if you want."
She smiled at Mark and said, "Thank you but you don't have to that."
"I insist. It's the least I can do since you gave me a place to stay."
Dani looked at the time and said, "Okay."
After she left, Mark gave a small smile because the mess was being cleaned up by the person that had caused it with a monster.
Chapter 47 Hank For the Day:
Jane walked out of the hospital with Hank, a grave look on her face.
"Jane, is there something wrong?" Hank asked as the two got into his car.
She shook her head before he could ask anything more.
"Well then, are you staying anywhere?" She shook her head again. "If you like, you can stay with me for the time being. Evan's room is free to use if you want," Hank said with a little smile on his face.
"I'll be fine with sleeping on a couch, but thank you though," Jane replied solemnly.
She wondered where the others were and if Thomas was ok for that fact. Ivy must also be wondering about them as well.
When the two got back there, Evan and Paige were still there. Hank gave a quick introduction for Jane.
"Can I use the bathroom?" Jane asked after the introductions.
"Sure, I'll show you where it is then I have to go," Hank said.
"That reminds me. I have to get going too, Evan," Paige said, giving Evan a kiss on the cheek and leaving.
Hank showed Jane the bathroom, Jane nodded her head to thank him, and she went right in.
Jane ran the sink and splashed some water on her face to clear her head. It usually helped her when she's stressed and right now, she was a bit stressed out because of everything happening.
She stood there for a bit, trying to get back to her usual self when she heard a snarl and then Evan. "Jane!"
That snarl she knew could only come from one creature: a Darkmite.
Pulling out her yellow jaguar, she morphed and went out and saw Evan cornered by a Darkmite. "Hey!" she called and he turned toward her.
"Well, well, well. Who do we have here?" the Darkmite said with a bit of a British accent. "The Yellow Ranger has arrived. Now I, Wolfagus, will finish you off."
Jane smirked underneath her helmet, finally back to her original self again.
She charged at Wolfagus and fought him, trying not to wreak anything in the process. Not only that, she had to keep an eye on Evan to make sure that nothing happens to him as well.
When it seemed as though Jane was going to prevail, Wolfagus disappeared.
Jane shook her head and de-morphed.
"What is going on here?" Evan asked, still in the same place as he was before.
Jane explained to Evan in the same way as Thomas did, for that is what the six teens agreed upon if they had to explain anything. She was doing this as she made her famous nerve-calming fruit smoothie.
"Now you know, but remember, no one else can know about this. Ok?" Jane asked as she handed him a smoothie.
He nodded and took a sip of the cold drink. Smiling, he said, "This is good. Just what the doctor ordered." Jane laughed at his little joke. Even though she wasn't the medic of the group, she did know a few things in the field of medicine.
"I'm not the medic in the group, White is," Jane stated. "Although I do know a few things. I'm more into the arts; music, writing, cooking, swordplay, those kinds of things."
"Don't worry about anything. I'll keep your secret," Evan said followed by another sip of the smoothie. "I hope so because if not, every one of my teammates and I could be in danger. It possibly cost us our lives, maybe even yours for all I know."
This brought concern to his face.
Luckily, the tension was released when the sound of a voice came. "So, Hank told me everything. Anything I missed?" Divya asked and looked at the two of them.
"Nothing at all. We were just talking and having smoothies as well," Evan said when she entered the room. He then winked at Jane, assuring her that her secret was safe.
Chapter 46 Enemy Almost Caught:
Thomas didn't know what to say except that he had to double check every single piece of evidence to be sure that his original conclusion was right after.
After checking it for a third and fourth time, Reid looked at him and said, "Are you okay? Can you tell what it is?"
Thomas, looking now at the team, replied, "What? Oh yeah, I'm fine. How long have you been on this?"
"A few days probably," Morgan answered before anyone else could.
Thomas leaned back in the chair he was in and covered his face with both hands before removing them and saying, "I suggest that you leave this case to me and no one else."
Some of them looked surprised. "Why? Do you know something that we're unaware of?" Hotchner asked questioningly.
"It's just that I know who you're up against and unless you want to get anyone possibly destroyed, I suggest you leave this one to me," Thomas said in an unarguable tone.
"Isn't there anyway that we could help you find this guy?" Alex asked.
Thomas shook his head in reply to the offer.
"Okay, we won't interfere. Just tell us if you have a place or not so we know," JJ asked.
Once again, he shook his head.
"If you need a place to stay, you can stay at my place for the time being," Penelope offered.
"Thank you," Thomas agreed, smiling and nodding his head in approval.
Putting his hand on Thomas' shoulder, Rossi said, "We'll let you know if we learn anything new."
As the two of them were making their way to Penelope's place, the two of them heard what sounded like a loud growl.
"What was that?" Penelope asked worrying.
'Darkmite,' Thomas thought. "Hurry, I think we're being followed," he said aloud to her.
Not even a block away from her place, a Dragoture appeared. Thomas moved in front of her and pulled out his orange eagle necklace. Morphing into his uniform, he brought down the Dragoture with little hesitation.
"Most impressive, most impressive indeed. Something that Bearake enjoys."
Turning around on the ball of his heels, he faced the Darkmite who had Penelope in his grasp.
"You and your friends find these bodies and know so little about how they were destroyed. The answer is right in your grasp but you can't quite take it and fully understand it."
By the look on Penelope's face, she was terrified. "Please," she whispered out to Thomas.
"This is between you and me. Let her go Darkmite!" Thomas yelled to him.
The claws on his hand started to seep out purple ooze from it. Thomas fired at him and let her go.
The two of them duked it out. Once it seemed that Thomas had the upper-hand, the Darkmite disappeared.
"Coward!" Thomas yelled and he remembered Penelope.
He got her up and hurried to her place, leaving no sign of the fight behind.
Thomas helped Penelope get onto the couch before he even bothered to de-morph.
"What was that thing?" Penelope asked, in pain from the ooze that was touching her skin. Thomas knelt beside her and produced from his bag two sets of bandages and a lighter.
Carefully making sure not to touch the ooze himself, Thomas wiped it up with one bandage before taking it and setting it on fire with the lighter. The smoke didn't setting off the fire alarm and the bandage didn't fall to ground when he released it.
There was no trace that there was ever a fire set.
Now, gently as he could, Thomas used the other bandage to wrap up the area.
"Don't worry. In a few hours the pain and anything left from the ooze will be gone with the help of the bandage. You were lucky it was very little. Too much and could have destroyed you," Thomas said, sitting on the floor now, facing Penelope.
"Thank you but what was that thing and what's with the suit?" Penelope asked confounded.
"That is your enemy," Thomas said before adding, "You mustn't tell anyone what I am about to tell you, even though you will be given the safe-to-say version. Okay?"
She nodded her head rapidly, agreeing with little hesitation.
"That thing is called a Darkmite. One of them separated me and my friends. When I am among them, I am know as the Orange Ranger."
"What is it doing here though?" she asked, a bit terrified now.
"I think that it, and others like him, are doing this to possibly eliminate me and my fellow rangers," Thomas concluded forcefully.
Chapter 45 The Power Ranger Theory (Part 2):
The group watched on the television as they saw the police try and handle the creatures but they too agile for them to catch. However, when hope was seemed lost, a mysterious figure dressed in blue appeared.
The figure was swift and very resourceful to its surroundings.
Penny watched intently when she spotted something very familiar about the way the figure attacked a bit.
Cautiously trying to leave the room without being spotted, Leonard stopped her from exiting the apartment.
"Where are you going, Penny?" Leonard asked frightened a bit from what he had seen.
Penny, however, didn't know what to do. Going with one her best excuses, she said, "I think I need to go rest for a while. Maybe have a drink or two."
Leonard, not sure what to do, just said "Fine."
She exited the apartment without another word from anyone.
Penny waited a while, hesitantly, after she after she opened her door and closing it without going in. When she knew it was safe, she descended the flights of stairs as rapidly and as soundlessly as she could and exited the building.
She was doing this because she had noticed that the figure in blue had the same grip as Katherine did she had grabbed on of the creatures.
'Could it be Katherine? Nah, it can't be. Could it?' Penny wonder curiously to herself.
When she began to approach the area where the creatures was said to be.
Cautiously, she looked around the corner and saw a bigger creature and the figure, however, the figure in blue was on the ground.
"Blue Ranger on ground. Blue Ranger nearly defeated," the creature said.
Hesitantly, Penny looked around her for something and all she could find was a garbage can lid. It was better then nothing.
Not knowing what was going to happen, she threw the lid in the direction of the creature. Reluctantly, it hit him.
"Ouch, that hurt. Draga is hurt, tired and hurt. Draga must go." With that, the creature was gone.
The figure, the one he called Blue Ranger, got up painfully and Penny backed away.
The Blue Ranger came near where Penny was hiding.
"Who's there? Show yourself!" the Blue Ranger said threateningly.
Carefully and quietly, Penny came from her hiding place, now knowing that the Blue Ranger is a girl, she said, "Katherine?"
She stumbled back, her weapon still at point fire. Possibly feeling regret, she de-morphed and, revealing willingly, her identity.
"How did you know that it was me?" Katherine asked, hiding away something underneath her shirt.
"The way that you gripped one of them. Growing up in Nebraska can teach you a few things. So, why are you here anyway?"
Katherine rubbed her eyes tiredly and said, "I was separated from my fellow rangers and don't know how to get back."
Penny, shaking her head, replied, "Well, if you need a place to stay for the time being, you're welcome at my place. Besides, you really know how to get Sheldon quiet."
Katherine laughed a bit, but it must have been bitterly painful because she started to fall. Reluctantly, Penny caught her before she hit the ground.
"You must take a lot of beatings for being the a Blue Ranger," Penny said helping her walk.
"Do I know it, but it's not as bad as others I've met," Katherine concluded before walking in silence.
Chapter 45 The Power Ranger Theory:
Katherine was in a shock as soon as she heard what the reporter said. For all she knew, it was all happening in her head.
"This is terrible!" Leonard said.
"I agree. It's too much news," Sheldon said and started for the remote. Katherine was quick and caught his hand before he could do a thing.
"You think the police could handle it?" Penny asked worried.
"I hope so," Bernadette wished.
"Could be just so prank or something, right?" Amy added.
At this point, Katherine released Sheldon's wrist and he laid his hand back to his side.
"I should probably call my mom," Howard said, leaving the room.
Once Howard was gone, a man with a Chewbacca cup in hand came in and he was gasping for air.
"Stewart, what are you doing here?" Raj asked concerned.
A bit out of breathe, he said, "I had the news on . . . I saw it . . . and ran here."
"Mom! I'm not out on the streets with that thing there," Howard yelled from another room. "How am I suppose to know where you are?" another voice replied in a feminine, but somehow a bit masculine, tone.
"That's his mom?!" Katherine asked surprised, shaking off the daze after hearing it.
Howard came back in and said, "She's fine."
Katherine knowing what to do, got up and headed for the door.
"Where are you going?" Leonard asked, stuttering a little.
"I have to go home," Katherine said and disappeared.
When she was hidden from sight, Katherine pulled out the blue griffin and morphed.
She ran out into the streets and into the fight.
There were many Dragotures out and she saw only one Darkmite.
Slicing and bashing through the horde, she came upon the Darkmite.
"Blue Ranger is here. Blue Ranger is alone," the Darkmite said.
"Blue Ranger is annoyed," Katherine said, irritated already.
"Draga sent here. Sent Draga to destroy Blue Ranger," Draga said.
Katherine rolled her eyes and thought to herself, 'This is going to be agony.'
Chapter 44 Luke of Interest:
Luke went and bought himself some food and went to the park. He was hungry and needed something to eat before he could continue on finding a way back home.
"I have a life you know. You and glasses better have a excuse for making me do this."
Detective Fusco, a dark haired and kind of balding man, was watching Luke from inside his car while he was talking to Reese.
"It was either you or Shaw and I don't think she would like to do it," Reese said while looking in the direction of Luke.
"Actually I'm fine doing this," Shaw said who was about 15 feet away from Luke, her emotionless face glancing looks around the place.
Reese gave a sly smile for her doing this.
"It's not because I want to but I have a feeling about him," Shaw said as she got up and followed him.
After finishing his food, Luke got up and walked along the streets before he stopped near an alley. He turned around out of fear for someone may have been following him.
"Luke," a voice whispered to him through the wind.
Going down the alley to see where it came from, he revealed his red phoenix from underneath his shirt.
Sensing a presence near, cautiously, he continued a bit further until he saw Dragotures appear right in front of him.
"Unite with the power of the forest!"
Once his uniform appeared, he ran forward and started to attack them. After they were all defeated, a different creature appeared, a Darkmite.
"So, the Red Ranger is alone. Excellent and now I will destroy you. I, Serpeta, will be the last thing you see," Serpeta hissed.
"I doubt it," someone said behind him. Shots rang out throughout the alley, some of them hit Serpeta. He hissed when they hit him. After about five hits, he gave one huge hiss and disappeared.
Luke turned around, ready to fire, and saw a man in a suit holding a gun in his hands.
"Who are you?" Luke asked, still keeping his guard up.
"My name is John and I'm here to help you," the man said holding his hands up.
"Why would I need help?"
"Because I have a source that tells me that you are possibly in danger and I can tell for sure from what I just saw. Possibly worse."
Luke thought this for a second before saying, "If it could tell you that, then tell me something I only know about."
"Finch, did you hear that?" John had said, putting a finger to his ear as if adjusting an earpiece.
Seconds pasted before the silence between them was broken.
"Your full name is Luke Olivia McCain," John said calmly.
Luke tensed up and de-morphed. "No one knows my full name unless it's needed. Not even my friends know it."
"I guess today's your lucky day then,"John said.
"What now? You going to bring him to glasses?" Detective Fusco asked John as he entered the alley.
"I have one question first before we go. Do you know someone by the name of Carter?" Luke asked curiously, knowing that the other guy must be a cop or something by the way he looked.
"Yeah, I know her. She was demoted from Detective after a colleague was destroyed. He was a nice guy," Fusco said.
Luke nodded his head and said, "Lead the way. Just so you know, there is a lot more like them."
Chapter 43 Hope:
Once Jonathan had left Ivy, he started to wonder about her. How could her rangers be able to get back?
He shook the thought out of his head and continued back to the dojo.
Arriving back, he saw Silvia outside in a bit of a happy mood. He smiled at her and said, "What's with you?"
"Jonathan," she said. "We just got word that Emmy is going to be home the day after tomorrow. The other rangers don't know about it yet, but I want to keep it a surprise."
Giving a nod, he replied saying, "That's great, but I got some news for them."
Walking in, he pressed a button on the wall that was rigged to emit a sound that they would know as a signal for a meeting.
Everyone came, some still holding practice weapons, some with paintbrushes, Jack had black all over his face. Probably one of Jessie's pranks.
"Jack you might want to clean the stuff off your face," Zander pointed out. He left the room to clean himself up. Sarafina giggled a little at it.
Clearing his throat, Jonathan then began to talk. "I was just talking to Ivy and I got word that the Forest Rangers have been transported to different dimensions. In the meantime, I said that I would have my rangers fill in until they come back."
Zoe groaned a little. "We're down three rangers and you want us to fill in for another team? We're not superheroes!"
All the rangers looked at her and said, "Yes we are!"
"I know, I'm just kidding you," Zoe smiled.
With a nod of his head, everyone left to do what they were doing before. His mind then went back to the thought of Ivy.
Concerned for his step-sister's sake, he pulled out a piece of paper and started to write something. It said that no matter what happened, he could be the one she could count one. He even attached a picture of when they were young and happy.
"What did I miss?"
Jack stood behind Jonathan as he finished what he was writing and folded it up.
"I had a hard time getting that stuff off. Better make sure that I move the paint before I fix an easel," he said while rubbing his eyes.
Quickly writing down something on the paper he was just writing on, Jonathan said, "Jack, I have a message that I need delivered to Ivy. I would do it myself but I'm concerned. Plus, I know you want to go for a run."
Jack nodded and took the paper from Jonathan and left without another word.
Watching Jack making his way to the hideout, Jonathan whispered to himself. "Ivy, be ready for what could come."
I understand. If you can continue on reading it, giving feedback and suggestions then I would be fine with it. By knowing that you are at least reading it and hearing from you, I know that I have someone reading this.
1HPfan, I'm sorry, but I have to drop out of this. I've just found that I have too much stuff on my plate and I need to start cutting stuff away. The truth is, I don't have enough time to really put work into this with my AP and Honors work, karate, hockey games, scholarship meetings, family time, and trying to have a social life with my friends, which I'm already doing bad on. I wish you luck in trying to finish the story, but I need to back off of this. Sorry.
I get with your loss. If you read one of my earlier posts, I lost someone important too. All we can do is let time heal ourselves. How about this: after you get the one chapter up (you made up the one you missed and now need to do one to get up-to-date), I'll write a few chapters, possibly six, one on each of the rangers and their quest to get home. I'll try to have them up before the new year. Once they're up, you can write six chapters to get caught up number-wise.
That sound good?
That's ok. I don't have finals until a week after I go back to school. So I have this week, 16-20, then I'm off for two weeks and don't go back to the 6th and finals are the week after on Tues., Wed., and Thurs.
Plus, you know you need to have two chapters up right? I wrote about them getting to the places, then I wrote another chapter. So you have one more to write.
Chapter 42 Siblings Unite
As soon as she told him what had happened, Jonathan told Ivy about what had happened with Amanda, Cameron, Emmy, and Jase, and how they got back.
Ivy nodded, pacing on the floor of the hideout as she heard what her brother had to tell her, while he sat in a chair.
?Ivy,? Jonathan said. ?You need to sit down, or else you?re going to wear a hole into the ground.?
Ivy sighed and finally at down in a chair across from him. ?I know,? she said. ?I?m just worried. After all, they?re all still young, and Susan, well, she just barely got her powers. And she is my daughter. You can?t stop a mother from being concerned about her only child.?
Jonathan covered Ivy?s hand with his own. ?Trust me,? he said. ?I know what it feels like to have your children be gone and not know about them. But, it will get better. If Amanda and Cameron could get back, and Emmy and Jase also get back, all of them safely, then your six rangers can do the same.?
Ivy nodded again and tried to sit back, but her nerves got the best of her and she started pacing again.
Jonathan got to his feet and stepped in front of Ivy, placing his hands on her shoulders. ?Sister,? he said flatly. ?I know it?s hard, but you must rest. After all, pacing will do nothing to help them. You need to defeat the Darkmite to bring them back.?
?By myself?? Ivy said.
?Not if you want,? Jonathan. ?After all, my rangers are ready to help out at a moment?s notice.?
?Where would I be without you?? Ivy asked. ?If not for you, I wouldn?t be where I am today.?
?Well, everyone needs someone to keep them in check,? Jonathan said. ?I need to get going, but I will let them know that you need assistance and we will be back by tomorrow evening. In the meantime, I want you to relax, eat, and do a bit of training to bring your abilities up to par.?
Ivy hugged Jonathan and then released him. ?Thank you,? she said in a quiet whispered.
Jonathan smiled. ?Family must keep together,? he replied. He stepped back and then walked out of the hideout, leaving Ivy alone.
1HPfan, this is the chapter. I?m really sorry about taking so long, but my mind hasn?t been at rest of late and this was the best I could do with my thoughts the way they are. I know it?s not the usual length and I know that it may not sound like my usual writing, but I haven?t quite recovered from the loss in my family.
I'm really sorry about not posting yet. With finals coming up, I've been busy with studying and doing extra homework and everything. I know I'm taking awhile, and I know you're getting really impatient, and I'll try working on the chapter tonight.
