Chapter 1 Leaving *Jenny?s POV*
?Be careful, Jenny,? Lauldine Goldjewel, my mom, told me as I was about to leave Monkzen, my home.
?I will, Mom,? I replied as she hugged me.
?You?ve got to be extra careful out there,? Gimlad Goldjewel, my dad, added as he hugged me.
?And you?ve got to make sure you know who your allies are,? Seren Goldjewel, my uncle, said as he also hugged me.
?I?ll return once I?ve found allies for Monkzen,? I said. ?Until then, I hope we can keep in touch.? As I walked to the forest with my bag containing food, water, and clothes, I began to wonder if I?ll ever see Monkzen again.
After all, I was their lady, and the princess of the elves, but would those titles be given to Citrus Goldjewel, my cousin, if something happened to me?
I pushed by it and reached the edge of the forest. It turned back and waved at my family, who was on the steps of City Hall, and then disappeared into the surrounding forest.
It was several days where I was traveling with stops only for resting and eating. I found streams where I could replenish my water and I hunted for food, something elves could do easily with a bow and arrow.
Finally, I reached a place called Reefside. I hoped I could find some allies for Monkzen in there, someone to give aid, but I realized that it was humans, and that they didn?t even look like fighters.
?Ah man!? I whispered. ?This isn?t going to get me anywhere!? I retreated back into the forest, but I still kept close to watch and see what?s going on, seeing if they could prove me wrong.
It was sunset and I still hadn?t found any reason for me to see them as allies, but that?s when I saw them: four people in colored uniforms fighting a monster that had appeared.
I watched them for a long time and saw them get thrown back, losing their uniforms. I slowly crept out from behind the trees, still watching as the monster approached them.
Then, a person in a white uniform came and defeated the monster, getting into a huge robot and then destroying it again.
?Look, whose side are you on?? the boy who was in the red uniform said. ?You help us, but then you attack us! Make up your mind, why don?t you!??
?I work for no one,? the white uniformed boy said. He walked to the trees and saw me, charging at me and causing me to fall. ?Who are you?? he said as he placed his feather-sword close to my neck.
?None of your business,? I replied as I kicked him off and got to my feet, an arrow on my bow and ready to fire. ?You don?t want to mess with me.?
?Who?s she?? the boy who was in blue said.
?I don?t know,? the girl who was in yellow said.
?I don?t have a good feeling about this,? the man who was in black said.
The boy charged at me and I released my arrow, but it didn?t hurt him.
?Alright, arrows don?t work,? I whispered, replacing my bow. I blocked his first attack and punched him, but he grabbed my arm and threw my behind him.
?We?ve got to help her!? the boy who was in red said. ?Ready??
?Ready,? the other three said.
?Dino Thunder, Power Up!? they said and they turned back into their uniforms.
?Trent, leave her alone,? the boy in red said as he, the one in blue, and the one in black got in front of me as the girl in yellow helped me up.
?Are you ok?? she asked me.
?Who are you guys?? I replied.
?Don?t worry about who we are,? the girl answered.
?Kira, get her to the Dino Lab,? the man in black said.
?On it, Dr. O,? Kira said and we ran from the others as they fought the one called ?Trent?.
As we were running, Kira was suddenly struck from behind and she fell to a knee.
I watched as Kira tried to take down a monster that had hit her from behind, but she was defeated.
?Kira!? I cried as I ran to her. I got in front of her. ?Leave her!?
?What?s this?? the monster said, who appeared to look like a robot. ?Who are you??
?Your worst nightmare,? I said.
?Zeltrax,? said Dr. O as he came behind the robot-monster. ?Why attack Kira when it?s me you want??
?Tommy Oliver, we meet again,? Zeltrax said as he turned around.
Kira got up. ?We?re nearly there,? she whispered in my ear. ?Come on, we?re got to hurry.?
?But you can?t leave a teammate behind,? I said.
?He?ll hold up,? Kira said. She pulled me along and we ran into the forest, into a rock, but we passed through it like nothing.
?What just happened?? I asked, confused, as I looked back at the rock.
Kira didn?t answer: she went to a woman who was in front of a computer and said, ?Haley, what?s going on with the others??
?Trent and Zeltrax left,? Haley said. ?They should be back soon.?
The others came through the rock and unmorphed.
?So, now what?? the person who was red said.
?Why?d you want me to bring her here, Dr. O?? Kira asked. ?She?s not supposed to know who we are.?
?There?s something I?ve kept from you guys,? Tommy said as he got a box from behind the computer. ?There?s supposed to be another ranger to be part of the team.?

Chapter 47 Returning Home, For Good
I didn?t have a date, like what was ?tradition?, but I still went to the prom. I wore my best dress there was.
I met up with Connor and Ethan and their dates.
?You must be Jenny,? Connor?s date said.
?Ethan?s told me a lot about you,? Ethan?s date added.
?Yea, I?m Jenny,? I said.
?I thought you wouldn?t come,? Connor said.
?Yea, like Kira,? Ethan said.
?Well, I couldn?t miss out seeing my friends for the last time before I go back home,? I said.
?Hey!? Trent called form above.
?Hey Trent!? we replied.
?Everyone,? Tommy called, speaking into the microphone. ?We?ve had a long school year, going through what schools shouldn?t have to go through. But now, I want to introduce the musical guest. Please give a big Reefside High greeting to Kira Ford!?
Everybody cheered as Tommy walked off the stage and the curtains opened to show Kira and her band.
Kira began her song and we followed to it.
In the middle of her song, a soccer player from Connor?s team came up to me and said, ?Jenny, may I have a dance with you??
Connor smiled and nodded.
?Sure, Eric,? I said.
Eric and I danced while Kira sang her song, and when she was done, everyone clapped.
Kira smiled and looked at us, waving.
In the corner of the stage, I saw AkaRed, his arms crossed as he watched what was going on. When he saw me looking at him, smiling, he nodded and disappeared.
I nodded. ?Thank you, AkaRed, for helping me,? I whispered softly. ?Hopefully we will see each other again.?
Kira, Tommy, Trent joined us.
?Some year, right?? Kira said.
?Some year,? Connor repeated.
?What do you think will happen to us in the future?? Ethan said.
?I plan on visiting you guys some time,? I said.
?Maybe we can visit you,? Tommy replied.
?Not sure,? Trent said. ?We?re all going our separate ways.?
?One thing?s for sure,? Connor said. ?We?re all united, as Power Rangers.?
We smiled and nodded.
?I have a feeling that we will fight again,? I said. ?As rangers, against some kind of evil.?
?And I still remember that promise I made you,? Tommy said. ?So, if you ever need help, I?ll come help out.?
?And me, Kira said.
?And me,? Ethan said.
?And me,? Connor said.
?Then that?s all of us,? Trent said.
?I?ll miss you guys,? I said.
It was the next day and I had all my stuff ready to go.
The others gathers at Kira?s to watch me go.
I gave them a hug and then proceeded into the forest, where it was a week before I reached Monkzen.
When I got there, I told Lauldine and Gimlad that I had gotten us allies, but I refused to let them know who, since they didn?t remember that I was a ranger.
That night, when I was putting my stuff away, I was to reach for my Dino Gem and I realized something: I had left it at the Dino Lab, under Tommy?s care.

In the meantime, I?ll be working on the stories ?The Search for the Second Treasure?, where the Gokiagers work on finding the second Greatest Treasure in the Universe, ?The Return of the Hockey Rangers?, where the Hockey Rangers come back to face a new evil, ?Wizards Make Rangers, Too?, where we meet up with Wizardry Force Rangers and find out what happens between them and Harlem, ?The Return of the Forest Rangers?, where the Forest Rangers return to fight the Evil Lord and try to take him out, for good, and ?Power Rangers Flyers?, where it is up to a group of kids from different sports to come together and defeat evil using the power of birds.
Chapter 46 The Final Battle
A day later, we were doing our own things, Kira in the house practicing guitar, Ethan at a convention, Tommy at the lab, Trent drawing at his house, Connor playing on a soccer field, and me in the backyard sharpening up on my skills.
We all got a message from Tommy: to head to the construction site and get ready for a final battle.
Kira came to the back porch and looked at me, nodding.
I returned the nod and took her arm, using the speed in my gem to run to the others.
We were all at the construction site, where Zeltrax had Elsa, but she was turned good by something Mesogog had done.
?Let her go, Zeltrax,? Tommy said.
?Never,? Zeltrax said.
?Let?s morph,? Connor said. ?Ready??
?Ready,? the rest of us replied.
We morphed and took out Zeltrax.
As Mesogog appeared, Elsa ran behind a pipe.
?Rangers, I will defeat you,? Mesogog said. He suddenly morphed into a new monster.
?You guys ready for one last battle?? Tommy asked.
?Ready,? we said.
?Dino Thunder, Power Up!? we said.
?White Ranger, Dino Power!? Trent said.
?Tyranno Power!? Connor said.
?Tricera Power!? Ethan said.
?Ptera Power!? Kira said.
?Bracio Power!? Tommy said.
?White Drago Power!? Trent said.
?Allo Power!? I said.
?Dino Rangers!? we said.
?Let?s do this!? Connor said as we charged at Mesogog.
No matter what we did, we couldn?t take out Mesogog.
He started multiplying himself until there was four of him.
?Oh great,? Kira said.
?We need to combine our powers if we want to defeat him,? Tommy said. ?We need to give up these powers for the sake of Earth.?
?Right,? we said. ?Power Rangers!?
?I summon the Power of the Gem!? Connor said.
?Dino Gems Unite!? we said, casting our powers into the air.
Mesogog was consumed by the power and was destroyed.
?Everyone ok?? Tommy asked as we powered down, for good.
?I feel different,? Connor said.
?Yea, like normal again,? added Trent.
?Me, too,? Kira said.
?It?s gone!? Ethan said. ?Our powers are gone.?
?Everything the gems had destroyed Mesogog,? Tommy said.
?So, we?re not rangers anymore?? I asked.
?And these are just ancient artifacts,? Connor said as we looked at our gems.
?They?ll look great in a museum,? Tommy agreed.
Cassidy, Devin, and Elsa came to us.
?Hello Rangers,? Cassidy said.
?So you knew then,? Connor said.
?Well, I kinda already knew but I had to show Cassidy in person,? Devin said.
?This is like the greatest thing ever!? Cassidy said, hugging Devin. ?And we got it all on tape. A reporter could make a career out of this.?
?Cassidy, do you realize what our lives would be like if that tape gets out?? Tommy asked.
?Yea, I do,? Cassidy said. ?That?s why I?m giving this to you.? She gave the tape to Tommy.
?Wait, Cassidy passing up the scoop of a lifetime?? Kira asked. ?Why??
?Because you?re my friends,? Cassidy said. ?It wouldn?t be right to ruin your lives just to make mine better. Not after everything you?ve done.?
?I always knew there was a heart deep down inside there,? Ethan said.
?Yea, I just needed help finding it,? Cassidy said. ?Now, if you excuse us.?
?We?re off to the prom,? Devin said.
?And with that,? Connor said as they walked away, Elsa following them, ?life goes back to normal.?
?Well, life is back to normal, but our lives will never be the same,? Tommy said.

Chapter 45 The Test of Friendship
The weeks went by and we continued fighting monsters, Trent?s clone, and Tyrannodrones, but we never did see Basco and Sally again. We even teamed up with the Ninja Storm rangers.
Trent and I still were recovering from the fight with Basco, taking a long time to get our strength back.
We found out that there can?t be two white rangers in the morphing grid, meaning that Trent had to take out the other white ranger if he wanted to continue to be a ranger.
Finally, when we were fighting another monster, minus Trent because he was fighting the clone at his house, we saw a white ranger come.
?Who?s that?? Kira said.
?Is it Trent?? Connor said.
?Or the clone?? Ethan said.
?There?s only one way to find out,? Tommy said.
?Trent, is that you?? I called.
The white ranger nodded. ?I am now the only white ranger left,? he said. He charged at the monster, giving us a chance to recover our mind.
?Now that we don?t have to worry about the clone, we can rest knowing that there?s only Trent who has that power,? Tommy said.
?Let?s help him out,? Connor said.
Together, we took down the monster, and again when it came to the megazord.
?Now we have more strength than before,? Trent said.
About a week later, we were at school before class started. In an earlier fight, we lost our zords, damaged beyond repair.
Cassidy was giving me a hard time about what I was doing after practices and games, where I ?disappeared to?, as she put it.
I told her that I was at home, working on homework, and added that my personal life was my business and no one else?s.
When Cassidy left, the others came, but so did Anton Mercer.
?Dad, what are you doing here?? Trent asked.
?I just want to check and see how you?re doing in school,? Anton replied. ?Tommy.?
?Anton,? Tommy said, nodding his head.
I felt a strange presence that I wasn?t sure of. I had only felt it in Monkzen when we had gone there to see if Gimlad was ok, and I didn?t know what it was. I was sure that I should know where it came from, but I just couldn?t.
I stepped away from the others.
?What?s up?? Kira asked me quietly.
?Don?t you feel it?? I replied.
?What?? Kira said.
?That presence,? I said. ?I felt it while we were in Monkzen, and I feel it now, but I can?t tell where it?s from.?
?I?m sure it?s nothing,? Kira said.
Suddenly, Anton ran from us, acting like he?s in pain.
?Anton!? Tommy said as he ran after Anton.
?No, wait!? Trent cried as he went after Tommy.
?Guys!? Connor said as we ran after them.
We ran into Tommy?s classroom, where Anton turned into Mesogog. He disappeared into a portal.
?That?s why that presence felt familiar,? I whispered.
Trent looked at us, trying to explain, but finding no words.
In the Dino Lab, where Connor and I blew off practice because of how serious this was with the need to talk to the others, we discussed about what to do with Trent. Tommy was out looking for Trent.
?What are we going to do?? Kira said.
?This is serious,? Ethan said.
?He never told us his father was Mesogog,? I added.
?But we can?t kick him out,? Connor said. When we turned to him, he said, ?He?s too good to give up.?
?But, why didn?t he tell us?? Kira asked.
?Because I promised him that I wouldn?t tell anyone,? Trent said as he walked into the room, Tommy behind him. ?He said that he would be able to handle it, that he could control it and to find the antidote.?
?With his mind, I?d expect that from Anton,? Tommy said.
?But still, we?re a team,? Ethan said.
?I know, and I?ve felt bad holding that secret from you guys,? Trent said. ?But I knew that if I told you guys that, you?d never let me on the team.?
As the others began to protest, I said, ?He?s right.?
The others looked at me, confused.
?He?s right,? I repeated. ?If he told us that, we?d never have him on the team. Don?t try to argue against that because we all know it?s true.?
The others sighed and nodded, knowing what I said was true.

Chapter 44 Needing More Power
Sally suddenly flew next to Basco.
?Sally!? Basco said. ?That?s it.? His eyes suddenly glowed red and he slashed us, like what Trent did when he was evil, except this one was stronger.
Kira and I fell to the ground, unmorphing.
?Told you that I would take you down,? Basco said. ?Now, to finish you off.? He was about to fire at us but AkaRed appeared and kicked the gun out of his hand.
?You won?t hurt them,? AkaRed said.
?Who?s there?? Basco asked.
?You don?t remember who you betrayed?? AkaRed replied.
?AkaRed!? Basco exclaimed.
?You can?t fight what you can?t see,? AkaRed said, ?and since you can?t see me, that means I win.?
?I can still track by voice,? Basco said as he spun to where AkaRed was and kicked him.
AkaRed caught his foot and flipped him over. ?Girls, get out of here!? he called to us.
I got up and helped Kira, putting her arm around me to supporting her, and we ran to the entrance of the ship. I teleported us out of there and to the forest near the Dino Lab, but Sally had grabbed onto my leg and came with us.
As we hit the ground, Sally was fighting us again.
?I?ve had enough of this monkey,? I said.
?Yea,? Kira said as we got back up again.
?We?re on the way,? Connor said.
?Hurry,? I said.
We morphed and began fighting Sally, but she was always gaining an edge over us since we were weakened by Basco?s attack.
The others joined us and fired the Z-Rex Blaster, but Basco jumped in front of Sally and took the hit.
?What?? Connor said.
?He?s not even hurt!? exclaimed Ethan.
?That doesn?t make any sense!? Kira said.
?I don?t understand!? Tommy said.
?That?s impossible!? Trent said.
?No way!? I said.
As the smoke cleared, Basco appeared as a monster.
?Now you see how I can take such powerful hits,? Basco said as he took out his sword. ?I?m not a human like you guys. I don?t need a ranger key to turn into this form.?
?How did you get past AkaRed?? I asked.
?I took him out again,? Basco said.
?What?? the others whispered.
?I don?t believe you!? I said. ?AkaRed won?t fall to someone so easily! You probably just snuck past him without getting hurt and followed me and Kira down here in time to have your little monkey friend.?
That rewarded me with a slash as Basco charged at me.
?Never say anything against Sally,? Basco hissed as he pulled me back up and threw me into a tree.
?Jenny!? the others cried, but they had to deal with fighting Sally again.
I got back to my feet just in time to dodge Basco?s next attack. ?I need to somehow fight back,? I whispered. ?Allo Bow!? I shot some arrows at Basco, but he was able to block all of them.
Basco caught an arrow. ?You?re going to fight with this?? he asked as he looked at the arrow. ?Pathetic.?
?Not just any normal arrow,? I said, snapping my fingers. ?I was hoping you?d do that. Life Vines.?
The vines surrounded Basco, but he was easy to break out. ?It?s going to take more than that,? he said as he slashed me again and again, not letting me get a single block in.
I fell to the ground, unmorphing.
?This is goodbye,? Basco said as he went to do a final slash at me.
Trent ran in front of me and took the attack for me, falling to the ground as he fell to the ground.
?Trent!? I cried.
Trent slowly rolled onto his back.
?Why did you do that?? I asked.
?Don?t know,? Trent replied. ?Just felt like it should be done.?
?Trent! Jenny!? Tommy said, breaking from the fight with Sally and taking on Basco as we tried to regain ourselves. ?Get to the Dino Lab! Now!?
Trent got to his feet and helped me up.
Sally disappeared, returning to the ship at Basco?s word, and they others helped Tommy with Basco.
Trent and I got to the Dino Lab and watched the computer screen as the fight progressed.
Basco disappeared and the others returned.
?How are you two feeling?? Connor said.
?Not too good,? Trent replied and I nodded to agree with him.
?He?s strong, getting stronger every day,? I said. ?If I learned anything while with him, it?s that.?
?We?ve got our work cut out for us,? Connor said.

Chapter 43 Blown Cover
When I went to school the next day, Kira was nowhere to be found.
?Where?s Kira?? I asked.
?Don?t know,? Connor said.
?I think we should be worried,? Trent said.
?Yea, it?s not like Kira to ditch,? Ethan said.
?I tried to contact her, but she didn?t reply,? Tommy said.
?I?m worried,? I said. ?What if Mesogog got her??
?Or worst,? Connor said.
?Basco,? Trent said.
?That would jeopardize the mission,? Tommy said.
?And that could mean the end of both me and Kira,? I said.
?Oh man, so many possibilities of what happen and what?s going to happen,? Ethan said.
?I just hope that she?s safe, wherever she is,? Tommy said.
The rest of us nodded and went to class as the bell rang.
When I got to the Free Joker, I immediately noticed that no one was around and that it was quiet, too quiet in my mind. I walked forward, taking care to keep quiet. When I reached where Basco usually was, Basco wasn?t there, but Sally was.
?Sally?? I asked.
Sally turned to me.
?Where?s Basco?? I said.
?Someone call?? Basco asked as he walked into the room.
?The yellow ranger has disappeared,? I said.
?Funny you should say that,? Basco said.
?What do you mean?? I asked slowly.
?I mean, I know where she is,? Basco said.
?Where?? I said.
?Follow me,? Basco said as he walked back into the room.
I hesitated but Sally pushed me to follow him.
Slowly, I walked after Basco.
Basco opened a door and held it open for me.
I glanced at him and then walked in.
Kira was pacing around and she snapped up to look at me.
I stopped dead. ?Kira,? I whispered.
?Yes, I took the yellow ranger,? Basco said as he came up behind me.
?Why?? I said.
?To take out the other rangers, and you?re going to help me,? Basco said.
?The other rangers,? I whispered.
?Yes, the Dino Rangers,? Basco said. ?Was I not clear??
?No, you were clear,? I said.
?Is there a problem, then?? Basco asked.
?No,? I said. ?I?ll do it. You can count on me.?
?Good,? Basco said, walking out of the room. ?Then I?ll go contact the others now.?
As soon as the door closed, Kira contacted the others and let them know what was going on.
?You?re not going to do it, are you, Jen?? Connor said.
?Of course not!? I said. I heard something run from behind the door and I opened it to find Sally running down the hall. ?Shoot, Sally?s going to tell Basco that I won?t do what he said. Blown cover.?
?Then get yourself and Kira out of there!? Tommy said.
?Ready to teleport?? I asked Kira and I grabbed her arm. I was about to do that when Sally opened the door and jumped on us, bringing us to the ground.
I kicked Sally off and got back to my feet.
?How come I knew that you were a spy?? Basco asked as he pushed open the door farther. ?Of course, that little ?fight? you had, there was clearly some ties that didn?t even exist. Why would Marvelous and Grace be watching how you guys fight when Grace has a mission and Marvelous is trying to find the treasure??
?Kira, morph,? I said.
We morphed as Sally tried to jump on us again, but moved out of the way.
?You get Sally,? I said. ?I?ll take care of Basco.?
?Really?? Basco asked as I advanced on him. ?You can?t even take me down in training! How can you expect to take me down when I?m actually trying??
?Because I wasn?t trying in training,? I said. ?I only looked like I was trying. And really, if I have a weapon, you?d better watch out. Dino Sabre.?
?Didn?t that happen last time and I still beat you with it?? Basco replied as he kicked me back. ?Oh yea, that is what happened.?

Chapter 42 Double Agent
When I woke up in the morning, Basco was already awake. I would have to let him get me to go to school, but I?d need to give him something that would help influence him.
And I knew what to do.
?Basco, I need to continue going to school,? I said after breakfast.
?Why?? Basco asked.
?I?ve just got to continue my education,? I replied.
?How do I know you?ll return every day?? Basco said.
?Come on, the others could care less about me,? I said. ?Where else would I go? The Dino Rangers kicked me out, so I can?t continue living with the girl I was with before, and I can?t go to the Galleon because Marvelous and Grace also hate me. This is my only place.?
?Fine, you can go,? Basco said. ?On one condition: you get information about what they do.?
?I will,? I said.
?Then I?ll see you after school,? Basco said. ?Directly after.?
?Um, well, you see, I?ve also joined the soccer team, and I?m their captain, so I?ve gotta go to practice with them every day,? I said.
?Fine, after practice,? Basco said.
?Thank you,? I said. ?I?ll see you after practice. And I?ll have the information you want.?
All Basco did was nod.
?So, anything new yet?? Connor asked as Kira gave me my backpack.
?I?ve gotta give him ?information? about what you do,? I said, putting air quotes around ?information?.
?So, you?re going to lie,? Ethan said.
?Pretty much,? I said.
?We?re just waiting to see when the next attack is,? Kira said.
?Basco, Zeltrax, Elsa, or any one of Mesogog?s goons,? Trent said.
?So, tell Basco that we?re training non-stop,? Tommy said.
?Alright,? I said.
When I returned to the Free Joker, I told Basco what Tommy told me to say.
?Training, huh?? Basco mumbled. ?Any word on Marvelous and Grace??
I shook my head. ?Nothing,? I replied.
?Let them train,? Basco said. ?They?re still no match for us.? He paused. ?I suppose you have some work to do for school, don?t you??
?Yea,? I said, nodding.
?Get that done and then I want to see how good you are,? Basco said.
When I finished my homework, Basco immediately had me train with him, but I was taken down within the first minute.
?You need some improvement,? Basco said as I got up, not even offering a hand to help me to my feet. ?Again. We?re not going to plan an attack while you still have weaknesses.?
We went again and this time I was able to stay for several minutes before hitting the ground and staying down.
?Slightly better,? Basco said, once again not helping me up. ?Again.?
By the time we called it quits, I was really sore, but Basco didn?t even get a scratch.
As I tried to ignore the pain, Basco made us dinner.
I heard a noise behind me and I spun around to see a big monkey. ?Basco?? I called.
?What?? Basco replied.
?There?s a monkey on the ship,? I said.
?That?s Sally,? Basco said. ?She?s also on this ship.?
?Ok,? I said, sitting down again.
Sally sat across from me, where Basco would sit.
?Sally, not in my seat!? Basco called, not even looking in on us.
Sally moved to the next seat, watching me suspiciously.
I tried to ignore it, not even looking at her, but she never looked away from me.

While Sally acknowledged Basco and stopped looking at me suspiciously, I took note that while we ate, she kept glancing at me.
When we were able to go, I went to my room and let the others know what was going on. After that, I turned in for an early night.
The pattern kept on going for a long time: me going to school and practice, then coming to the Free Joker to get my homework done and the practice with Basco. But the whole time, Sally always watched me, suspicious.

Chapter 41 The Plan in Action
?Well, sorry for doing what you told me to do,? I replied as I crossed my arms and stepped away from the others.
I saw Basco tilt his head slightly, curious.
?I never told you to take him on alone!? Connor said as he walked to me. ?You knew what the plan was, and you went to blew it!?
?Like you haven?t done that before,? I said.
Basco took a step forward, to the very edge of his ship, listening eagerly.
?No, we haven?t,? Kira said.
?Ok, who?s side are you on, Kira?? I shot at her.
?I?m with Connor on this one,? Kira said.
?You?re basically outnumbered,? Ethan said.
?Yea, I agree with Connor,? Trent said.
?I am, too,? Tommy said.
?I saw what happened, and I?m with him,? Marvelous said.
?And me,? Grace said.
?Ok, so against the newbie,? I said.
Tommy winked and I knew that mean to leave.
?You know what,? I said. ?If this is how we?re doing things from now on, count me out!?
?Then leave,? Connor said. ?You don?t deserve to be part of the team anymore.?
?Fine!? I said. ?Then I will leave! But you will regret kicking me out of the team!? I left the ship and went into the forest, hearing footsteps following me. ?What, come to continue what was on the ship, Connor?? I called.
?Connor?? Basco asked as I leaned on the tree, glaring at him. ?No, not Connor. I couldn?t help but notice what happened on the ship. What happened that sparked that fight??
?They thought that it was my fault that a monster fled that we were fighting before,? I said. ?I was just following rules! I did what I was told! They told me to fight, and I did! It?s not my fault that they all had to come help me when I was down!?
?I hear you,? Basco said. ?Do you think they?re get you back on the team??
?They?re pretty angry at me,? I said. ?Why should they if they?re that mad at me? I had never seen Connor like that, even in battle. With him as red ranger, leader of the group, I doubt he?ll bring me back on while he?s in that mood.?
?Do you want to get back at them?? Basco said.
?I?m listening,? I said. The plan was nearly a success.
?Join me,? Basco said.
?But you?re the enemy,? I said.
?I can help you get them back,? Basco said.
?What, turn against my team?? I asked.
?They kicked you out,? Basco replied.
?True,? I said slowly. ?Fine, I?ll join you.?
Basco held out his hand. ?Welcome to the Free Joker,? he said.
I shook it. ?What?s the first order of business?? I said.
?Guys, are you there?? I asked into my morpher that night while Basco was sleeping.
?What?s there to report?? Tommy replied quietly.
?Nothing yet,? I whispered. ?I have to keep quiet because noise really travels in here.?
?Any real dates?? Connor said.
?No, nothing,? I said. ?We haven?t even picked out the plan of attack.?
?Just keep us posted,? Trent said.
?If I don?t report for over a week, then that means something?s happened to me and let Marvelous know, since he?ll know what to do to see how I?m doing,? I said. ?I?ve got to go. As I looked around the room, I saw AkaRed watching me, just like I had promised the others that he would do. I nodded.
AkaRed returned the nod and then disappeared.
I laid down on the bed, knowing that I wasn?t entirely alone when it came to being on the Free Joker.
I didn?t realize I fell asleep until I began to dream.

Chapter 40 Betraying the Betrayer
?We?ve got to do something,? Kira said.
We combined our powers and tried to take him down by teamwork, but it ended up that our zords were separated.
Quickly, I took Tommy?s spot in AlloZord. ?Allo, think you can take him on in dinosaur form?? I asked.
?Of course,? AlloZord replied.
?Then let?s do this!? I said.
We attacked together, all the zords and the GokaiOh attacking Basco, and he fled.
?Yea, that?s more like it,? Marvelous said.
?Better than getting destroyed,? Grace added.
?But he always flees,? I said.
?Just like Zeltrax and Elsa,? Connor said.
?We need plan to know when he?s going to try an attack,? Kira said.
?Yea, he?s strong enough to take our zords apart, we need to know so we aren?t surprised,? Ethan said.
?But what could that be?? Trent said.
?I?ve got an idea,? Tommy said. ?It?s a tricky one, but it may work.?
?I think we should talk about it in the Galleon,? Marvelous said.
We gathered in the Galleon, Navi immediately flying around us asking questions.
?Bird!? Marvelous called. ?Stop!?
?Don?t call me ?Bird?!? Navi replied. She flew to the chair and sat down, mumbling stuff under her breath.
?Anyways, Dr. O, the plan?? Connor said.
?I haven?t thought about the details yet, but let?s have a spy on his ship,? Tommy said.
?But he knows if someone is on the ship besides him,? Grace said.
?We?re going to have them part of his crew,? Tommy said. ?He?ll see us arguing with that person and eventually kick them out of the team, or so he thinks. That person will really give us knowledge about what he?s up to.?
?That?s a good idea,? Kira said.
?Betraying the betrayer,? Marvelous said. ?Clever.?
?But, who?? Ethan said.
?Yea, it can?t be me or Marvelous because he knows that we have this huge thing against him,? Grace said.
?And it really can?t be me, Kira, or Ethan because we have to fight monsters,? Connor said.
?So that leaves me and Jen,? Trent said. ?And with my clone running around, he may mistaken me for him.?
?He already considers him an ally,? Marvelous said.
?But that is a point,? Tommy said. ?The clone. If the clone comes, we don?t know if it?s Trent or the clone.?
?So I guess that leaves me,? I said.
?Seems risky,? Grace said.
?Anything will be risky involving Basco,? Marvelous replied.
?I?ll do it,? I said. ?I?m sure of it. And anyways, I have AkaRed watching me.?
Marvelous and Grace nodded, but the Dino Thunder Rangers were confused.
?Who?s AkaRed?? asked Tommy.
?He formed the Red Pirate Gang, which is what me, Basco, and Marvelous were a part of,? Grace said. ?But Basco betrayed us. He?s also my father.?
?He sacrificed himself for us,? Marvelous added. ?But Jenny can see him and talk to him. He?s the one who actually sent you that letter, but marked it with my name because since he?s gone, asking for him won?t help.?
?But, he helps us out,? I said. ?Without him, I wouldn?t have gotten the weapons enchanted.?
Grace looked at the computer screen. ?He?s coming,? she said. ?If we?re putting this in action, then it better be now.?
?Jen, you ready?? Connor said.
?Ready,? I said. ?So, we?re fighting on the deck and then I leave is when Basco can truly understand what we?re doing??
?Hopefully he?ll follow you to see what?s up,? Kira said.
?If that?s the case, then don?t fight him, but ask to join him,? Tommy said.
We went out onto the deck, where I could see the Free Joker through the clouds, Basco standing at the front, watching us.
I shook my head, saying, ?So it was my fault he left??
The others caught on with no delay.
?Yes!? Connor said. ?You thought you could take him on alone, so while you were struck down, our attention was brought to you and we lost him!?

Chapter 39 The New Megazord
We didn?t realize we had dozed off until the sound of thunder woke us up. We sat up, looking around.
?Just thunder,? I said as I laid back down.
?When did we fell asleep?? Grace asked.
?Don?t know,? Marvelous said.
?Monsters!? cried Navi.
?What?? we said, sitting up and looking at the screen as it showed huge Tyrannodrones as the Dino Thunder Rangers took them on.
?Tyrannodrones,? I said. ?Great. We can?t fight yet.?
?The Dino Rangers seem to know what they are doing,? Marvelous said.
?Maybe we don?t need to fight,? suggested Grace.
?Maybe,? I repeated. ?Tyrannodrones are fairly easy.?
?Fairly?? Marvelous asked.
?Well, if they have any extra help like new weapons or a monster that was destroyed, then they will not be so easy,? I said.
We were suddenly hit.
As the ship began to fall, Trent?s megazord caught us.
?That?s it, time to fight,? Marvelous said as he got himself to his feet. ?We can rest later.?
Grace and I nodded and morphed, all of us forming our megazords.
?That?s it,? I said as I got into AlloZord
?Jenny!? my friends cried.
?Shouldn?t you rest?? Connor said.
?They attacked the ship,? I said.
?I?m not going to let a few monsters attack the ship and get away with it!? Marvelous said as he and Grace came next to me, the GokaiOh ready to fight.
?They?re going to pay!? Grace said. ?The Galleon can be easily damaged! We can?t let something like this go by without a punishment!?
?Then let?s work together,? Connor said.
?Tommy,? I called.
Tommy nodded and joined me. ?Let?s do this,? he said.
We took down the Tyrannodrones easily but were struck by the Free Joker as Basco released the cannons.
?Not you again!? Marvelous said.
?Yes, and you won?t be able to take me down like before,? Basco said as the Free Joker created a megazord.
?Since when did your ship have that effect?? Grace asked, confused.
?It?s something new that Damaras added,? Basco said.
?Oh no,? I said, shaking my head, but feeling dizzy again. ?Tommy, can you pilot Allo by yourself??
?I?ll try,? Tommy said. ?Going to help them??
?Yea,? I said as I joined the GokaiOh.
?Jen?? Marvelous asked.
?Come on, let?s take him out,? I said.
Marvelous and Grace nodded.
?This time, no tricks!? Grace said.
?Easy for you to say,? Basco replied.
?Come on guys,? Connor said. ?He hurt Jenny, so let?s get revenge!?
?Way ahead of you, Connor,? Kira said.
?I was thinking the same thing,? added Ethan.
?That?s a great plan,? Trent said.
?I hear you,? Tommy said.
We advanced on Basco but he knocked all of us back.
?You guys are even weaker than before!? Basco cried.
?I?m not going to take that from this guy!? Connor said.
?Do I anger you?? Basco said.
?Yes, you do!? Connor replied. ?Very much!?
?Good,? Basco said.
?Calm down, Connor!? I called. ?He?ll use that anger against us!?
?Yes, watch out, Connor,? mocked Basco.
?Oh, how much I want to punch him right now,? I mumbled. ?Shut up, Basco!?
The GokaiOh knocked Basco down, but his megazord got right back up and knocked us back.
?Ok, this is going to take awhile,? Grace said as we got the megazord up again.

Chapter 38 AkaRed?s Helping Hand
When I woke up, I was still on the Galleon?s deck, just like Marvelous and Grace, but Basco was nowhere around. ?Guys, wake up,? I whispered, shaking the two rangers slightly.
?Ow,? Grace whispered as she rolled herself onto her side.
?Ah,? Marvelous moaned as he used an elbow to prop himself up.
?Jen, are you ok?? Grace asked quietly.
?I?m just as beat up as you two,? I replied as I went to get to my knee, but my leg giving out on me.
?Where?s Basco?? Marvelous questioned.
?I wish I knew,? I answered. ?As soon as you two were hurt, he slashed me, the clone tried to take me away, I didn?t let it, and then Basco shot me from behind as the clone disappeared.?
?That cheat,? Grace whispered.
?Taking someone out from behind,? added Marvelous.
?We?re got to find him,? I said as we tried to get up, but falling down again. ?If we can stand.? I saw a hand reach out to help me up. Looking up, I saw that it was AkaRed. ?AkaRed,? I whispered.
The other two looked at me.
?Take my hand,? AkaRed said. ?Basco isn?t here: I was able to chase him off.?
?Then where is he now?? I asked as AkaRed helped me up, catching me and holding me up as I fell, bringing me to the crow?s nest pole and having me rest against it.
?I don?t know where he is, but he is spooked because he was being attacked without seeing anyone,? AkaRed said. ?I think it?ll take awhile for him to have the nerve to return here.?
?How long has it been?? I said.
?Several days,? AkaRed said.
?Days!?? I exclaimed. ?I?ve got to get back home! They must be worried sick about me!?
?Calm down,? AkaRed said. ?I sent a letter to Tommy, signing with Marvelous name, saying what was going on. He replied by saying that he wants to hear from you as soon as possible and that he?ll keep your work for when you go back.?
I nodded. ?Thank you, AkaRed,? I said, quickly regretting my nod: I felt dizzy. Nearly falling over again, AkaRed caught me and steadied me.
?Careful now,? AkaRed said. ?Just lean against this and let the others know that they are going to be helped up, but they won?t be able to see me, so just try to let me guide them.?
?Guys, AkaRed is going to help you up, but you can?t see him, so don?t fight when you feel someone,? I said.
AkaRed helped Marvelous up. ?How are you doing, Marvelous?? he asked.
?AkaRed, is that really you?? Marvelous replied.
?Yes,? AkaRed said.
?I just can?t believe Basco did that to us,? Marvelous said.
?You need to be careful with him,? AkaRed said. He let Marvelous lean against the crow?s nest pole next to me and went to Grace. ?Grace, are you ok??
?Father,? Grace said as she hugged AkaRed. ?I?m fine.?
AkaRed had her come to the pole, as well. ?Basco has been chased off, spooked because I attacked him without him knowing I was there,? he said. ?I?ll help you guys inside and then I must go: my time is nearly up for now.?
?Ok,? we said.
AkaRed helped us inside and had us sit down where we could lay down, Marvelous and Grace on the couches and pulling a few chairs together for me. Then he was gone.
?Bird, what happened while we were out?? Marvelous asked, looking up at Navi as she rested on the arm of the couch he was at.
Forgetting what she said before about replying to ?Bird?, Navi said, ?No real activity. There?s a video chat waiting for Jenny.?
?It?s going to have to wait,? I said. ?There?s no way I can get up right now.?
?Understood,? Navi said. ?Is there any other way you can contact the others??
?My morpher,? I said as I raised it and pressed a button. ?Tommy, are you there??
?We?re all here, Jenny,? Tommy replied. ?What happened??
?I?m with Marvelous and Grace, both red pirates, on their ship,? I said. ?We had a fight where we were critically hurt and we?re resting right now.?
?Is Marvelous there?? Tommy said. ?He sent me a letter telling me what was going on.?
Marvelous looked confused but when I mouthed ?AkaRed?, he understood. ?I?m here,? he said.
?I was told that Basco, a villain of yours, teamed up with a villain from us,? Tommy said.
?The white ranger clone, yea,? Marvelous said. ?Both of them caused us a lot of injury.?
?He?s going to pay for this,? Trent said.
?No one hurts our friend without messing with us,? Connor said.
?Guys, please be careful,? Kira said.
?Even though we don?t know who you are, Marvelous and Grace,? Ethan added.
?We?ll recover,? Grace said.

Chapter 37 Basco Attacks
It was growing late, and none of us talked.
Marvelous was in his chair, staring at the ceiling, thinking. Grace was at the window, looking outside. I was lying down on the couch, sleeping.
Suddenly, the ship jerked, bringing all of us out of what we were doing.
It sent all of us to the ground.
?Oh now what?? asked Grace as we got up.
?Navi!? Marvelous said as Navi flew to the screen. ?It?s the Free Joker!?
?Him again!?? demanded Grace.
?Who?? I asked.
?The Free Joker is Basco?s ship,? Marvelous said.
?Basco,? I growled. ?I?ve had enough of that guy, and I?ve only had one fight with him!?
?Then you?ll like fighting him,? Marvelous said as he and Grace took out their morphers and keys.
?Gokai Change!? they said. ?GokaiRed!?
?AkaRed!? Grace added. ?What are you waiting for, Jenny? Morph.?
?Dino Thunder Power Up! Allo!? I said.
?He?s on the deck!? Grace said as we ran out to the deck of the ship.
?Get off my ship!? Marvelous said as he fired at Basco.
?Marvey-Chan,? Basco said. ?Grace-Sama, Jenny-Sama. How great to see you guys again!?
?Save it, Basco!? Marvelous said.
?Don?t play with us!? Grace said.
?We aren?t in the mood!? I added.
?What are you going to do?? Basco said.
We looked at each other and nodded.
?Nothing, but fight,? I said. ?Super Dino Mode! Allo Bow!?
The other two charged at Basco and tried to slash him, but he evaded both attacks and charged at me.
I shot an arrow and had it purposely miss. I dived out of the way.
?You missed,? Basco said.
?I don?t think so,? I said. I snapped my fingers. ?Life Vine.?
Like with Copyotter, the vines shot out and bound Basco.
?Just like before,? I whispered. ?Marvelous, Grace, I think you two can take it from here.?
?Gokai Scrambler,? the two said. They were about to release the attack when a white ranger came down and slashed the vines around Basco, freeing him.
?Not you again!? I cried as Trent?s clone charged at me.
?Believe it,? the clone said, attacking me.
?Jen!? the other two cried as I landed next to them.
?So, we have the guy who sent me here and the guy who we all hate,? I said as I got back to my feet, not ready to give up. ?Who should we get first??
?If he sent you here, then we should target him,? Grace said.
?But there?s also Basco to deal with,? Marvelous said.
?Let?s switch it up,? I said. ?I?ll take Basco while you two get the clone.?
The other two nodded and we began the attack.
?Trying to take me on alone, are you?? Basco asked as he blocked my attack and tried to hit me, but me dodging it. ?Didn?t you try that before and I almost destroyed you??
?Times have changed,? I replied. ?This time, I won?t be taken down.? I kicked him.
?So, you?re cleverer this time around,? Basco observed. ?But you won?t expect this.? I went to slash him, but he grabbed my arm and forced me down, taking my sabre and placing it on my neck. ?If you two want her to be ok, then you should stop the attack!?
Marvelous and Grace turned to me. ?No!? they cried.
?I told you, stop the attack,? Basco said. ?Do that and she?ll be fine.?
I elbowed his knee, but I felt my arm begin to bend back.
?Do that again and I?ll break your arm,? Basco warned.
Marvelous and Grace looked at each other, nodded. They dropped their weapons and stepped away from them.
?There, we?re unarmed,? Grace said as they raised their hands up.
?We can?t fight,? added Marvelous.
?White Ranger, finish them,? Basco ordered.
?No!? I cried, struggling to get out, but my arm made me freeze. I watched helplessly as the clone slashed Marvelous and Grace from behind and they fell forward, unmorphing and passing out. ?Guys!?
Basco pulled me up and slashed me, kicking me back so that I landed next to Marvelous. ?Took care of that easily,? he said as I got back to my feet.
?Mesogog wants to see you,? the clone said as he came up behind me.
?Well, I won?t do that!? I exclaimed as I kicked him and fired my laser at him.
?He?s not going to be pleased,? the clone said as he disappeared.
I was going to turn around when I felt something hit my back and I fell forward, unmorphing and passing out.

Chapter 36 Marvelous-San and Navi
I was glad Grace told me to rest: I didn?t have any energy to fight with.
A robotic bird flew into the room and rested on the back of a chair. ?Where is everyone?? she asked as she looked around. ?Marvelous-San? Grace-Sama? Come out now!?
I watched the bird, keeping silent.
The bird looked around again, finally seeing me. ?Who are you?? she asked as she flew to the arm of the couch.
?I?m Jenny, Jenny Goldjewel,? I said.
?You were that ranger that appeared all the sudden, won?t you?? the bird said.
?Yea, that?s me,? I said. ?But, who are you??
?Navi,? the bird replied.
?Bird, what are you doing?? asked a boy as he walked into the room.
?Don?t call me ?Bird?!? cried Navi as she flew into the air and back to the chair as the boy sat down in it.
?You still didn?t answer my question,? the boy said, lacing up his fingers and putting it behind his head.
?Trying to find you and Grace-Sama,? Navi said.
The boy chuckled. ?Well, found me,? he said. He looked over at me. ?Who are you??
?Jenny, the ranger that you tried to wake up,? I said.
?I?m Captain Marvelous,? the boy said. ?Where?s Grace??
?She said she was making me something because she wanted me to eat and rest before going into battle again,? I replied.
Marvelous nodded. ?There you go, Bird,? he said. ?That?s where Grace is. And you know I?m here.?
?I?m not responding if you keep calling me ?Bird?,? Navi said.
?Suit yourself,? Marvelous said, shrugging his shoulders and crossing his arms. ?So, Jenny, how do you know Grace??
?I was in the forest and I hurt myself, falling out of a tree, and she helped me,? I said. ?I also know of AkaRed and Basco.?
At that, Marvelous and Navi looked at me.
?How do you know AkaRed?? Marvelous said. ?Basco, I can understand: he attacks. But not AkaRed.?
?I can see him,? I said. ?I know, it sounds crazy, but I can talk to him, and he can talk to me.?
?So, you?ve found the Galleon,? AkaRed said as he walked up the stairs, behind Marvelous.
?Look, there he is, now,? I said, nodding behind Marvelous.
Marvelous looked that way. ?I don?t see him,? he said.
?He?s not there,? Navi said.
?I can only be seen by you,? AkaRed said. ?No one else can see me. Not Marvelous, not Basco, not Navi, and not even my daughter, Grace. They can hear me if I?m close to them.?
?But if I?m the only one that can see you,? I said, looking down, ?then how do I prove to the others that I know who you are??
?Did you forget what I told you about passing on the knowledge of the Earth being gold, silver, and bronze instead of green, blue, and white?? AkaRed asked. ?I told them about it. To prove that you can talk to me and that you know who I am, just tell them that.?
I nodded. ?AkaRed told me about the Earth not being blue, green, and white, as I had seen it before,? I said. ?He told me that there are golden rules, silver policies, and bronze relationships, the bronze being the clouds, the silver being the land, and the gold being the blue.?
Marvelous was awestruck. ?You do know him,? he said. ?And you can talk to him, as well??
?Yea, he told me that this morning,? I said.
?Tell him that I?m always watching over the Galleon and his progress,? AkaRed said. ?And that I wish him the best of luck.?
?He also said that he?s always watching over the Galleon, and how you progress to your dream,? I said. ?He wishes you the best of luck, Marvelous.? I thought I saw a tear on Marvelous? face, but if I did see it, he quickly looked away to hide it from me.
?Tell Grace that I love her,? AkaRed said. ?I must go. Good luck.? He disappeared.
?He?s gone,? I said. ?He disappeared.?
Marvelous used his sleeve to wipe his face. ?You have no clue how close AkaRed is to me,? he whispered. ?He?s like my father. For him to say that, it?s like him finally being able to say good-bye.?
Grace came into the room, a bowl of soup in her hands. ?Alright, here?s something to eat,? she said.
?I?m starved,? Marvelous said as he got up and went to reach for the soup.
?No, not for you,? Grace said as she slapped Marvelous? hand away. ?For Jenny.?
?Oh, right, of course,? Marvelous said. ?Did you know that she can talk to AkaRed??
?She told me,? Grace replied.
?He was just here, by what she said,? Navi said.
?He was?? Grace said. ?Did he have any messages??
I nodded. ?He wanted me to tell that he loves you,? I said.
Marvelous looked at Grace, concerned.
?And I love him,? Grace whispered as she let me eat. ?Now, Marvelous, do you want something? I can make it for you.? She turned to him.
?Something small,? Marvelous replied.
?On it,? Grace said as she left the room again.

We met the clone.
?I was wondering when you?d show up,? the clone said as we stopped in front of him. ?Took you long enough.?
?What are you doing?? Connor said.
?What does it look like?? the clone replied. ?I?m going to take you down.? He attacked us before we could do anything.
?I guess talking is out of the question,? Kira said.
?You?d better believe it,? the clone replied.
We started to attack the clone, but for some reason, our attacks never hurt him.
When we noticed that, we regrouped.
?Why isn?t he hurt?? Connor said.
?We just used powers that would normally cripple a monster,? Trent said.
?Then how is he still standing like we haven?t even scratched him?? Ethan said.
?I have an idea, but it?s going to be tricky,? I said. ?Allo Bow. Follow my lead and get ready to use your powers.? I raised my bow, ready to fire.
The others nodded and took out their weapons.
We tried to use our powers, but it still didn?t hurt him.
?You?ve left us no choice,? I replied. ?It hasn?t been tested before, at all, but we need to combine our weapons, using the elements. It?s set up like the Z-Rex Blaster, but I have no clue what?s going to happen. It could have our weapons destroyed, or it could hurt him. Do you guys want to take this chance??
?What choice do we have?? Connor answered. ?It?s a risk we have to take. Let?s put it together.?
We nodded and did that.
?Elemental Blaster, Fire!? we said.
The weapons started glowing and I was about to tell the others to get away, but it suddenly shot a ray at the clone, which knocked him down.
?Impressive,? the clone said as he got back up.
?There?s more where that came from,? I said as we got our individual weapons.
We were about to strike the clone again when he ran at me, grabbing me and forcing me to drop my bow as he tackled me to the ground.
?Jenny!? the others cried.
I kicked off the clone and got to my feet. ?Taking on a ranger alone,? I said, panting a bit from the struggle, something that I had never done before, worrying the others as they saw it. ?Clever idea, but you picked the wrong ranger to fight with.?
?I don?t think so,? the clone said as he threw his sword at me.
I ducked and it hit a tree, getting stuck. ?What was that supposed to do?? I mocked as I looked back at it.
?Just what I planned,? the clone replied as he snapped his fingers.
I spun around as the sword opened a portal. I took a step back but the clone pushed me to it.
?Next stop, anywhere but here,? the clone said as I tried to fight back, but eventually getting tossed into the portal.
I landed in a different place, one that I recognized, but I couldn?t remember where. Before I could piece together where I was, I passed out.
?Hey, Jenny,? said a voice, shaking me gently. ?Are you ok??
?How do you know her?? asked a second voice.
?Because I met her before,? the first voice replied.
?When?? said the second voice.
?When I was gone, smart one,? the first voice said. ?Why don?t you go talk to Navi or something??
?Fine,? said the second voice and I heard footsteps disappearing.
?Where am I?? I whispered.
?You?re ok,? the voice said.
?Grace?? I asked, looking at the person.
Grace nodded. ?How do you feel?? she said as she helped me sit up.
?Good,? I said. ?Where am I??
?You?re on the Galleon,? Grace said. ?I was checking up on Marvelous and he was trying to wake you up, since you were unconscious.?
?Oh,? I said. ?Well, I need to get back to the others. There?s this clone and he opened a portal pushing me in. I?ve got to get back to the Dino Thunder Rangers before something bad happens.? I tried to get up, but I felt dizzy and fell to a knee, a hand on my forehead.
?No, you need to rest,? Grace said. ?Power down so you can eat something.?
?But-? I began.
?No ?buts?,? Grace replied sternly. ?You will rest before returning to battle.?
?Oh alright,? I said. ?Power down.?
?I want you to go over to that couch and sit down and rest,? Grace said as she helped me up. ?I?ll make you something to eat.?
?Ok,? I said as Grace let me sit down on the couch. She left the room, leaving me alone.

Chapter 34 New Powers
I ran as fast as I could to the mall, where I was able to meet the others just as they were hurt by Copyotter.
?You guys need help?? I called as I stopped behind Copyotter.
?Just on time, Jenny!? replied Connor.
?Special delivery!? I said, throwing the others their weapons. ?I?ve added a special touch to them!?
?Great!? Kira said.
?Just what we need!? added Ethan.
?Good job, Jen!? Tommy said.
?We can use this to help!? Trent said.
?And the first is to take him out,? Connor said as he pointed to Copyotter.
?Looks normal to me,? Copyotter observed.
?That?s what you think,? I said as I got an arrow on my bow. ?Just look and see what I?ve done to my weapon.? I shot it into the air and it landed far away from Copyotter.
?You missed!? Copyotter cried.
?I don?t think so,? I replied. I snapped my fingers. ?Life vine.?
A vine suddenly shot out from the arrow and bound Copyotter.
?You guys, combine your powers,? I said. ?Connor, you have fire. Ethan, you have water. Kira, you have lightning. Tommy, you have stars. And Trent, you have snow.?
The others combined their powers and took out Copyotter.
?Great job, Jenny!? cried Trent as they joined up with me.
?Think you can perform that again with the zords?? Tommy asked as Copyotter became big.
?Just program your weapons into the zords,? I said as we got into our zords. ?Tommy, ready to lend a hand??
Tommy nodded and joined me.
?If Ethan, Kira, and I, Jen and Dr. O combine your weapons, and Trent uses his sword, we should be able to take him out,? Connor said.
We did that and took out Copyotter.
?Now we got that out of the way,? Kira said.
?Looks like you scored a point for us, Jen,? Trent said.
?Let?s see if this is enough to have us win the game,? I said.
?Hopefully,? Tommy said. ?But I want everyone to practice with these new powers. Report to the lab so that we can do that.?
We nodded and ran to the lab.
I had showed the others how to use the weapons and watched how they worked, and then when they got it, I went to practicing with my own weapon.
When we were about to call it a day, the alarm went off.
Tommy quickly looked up what was going on. ?Guys, you?d better see this,? he said.
We looked at each other and gathered behind Tommy.
?No way,? whispered Connor.
?It can?t be!? Ethan cried.
?Impossible!? Kira exclaimed.
?They didn?t,? Trent gasped.
?They did,? I said defeated.
?Trent, they used Copyotter to clone you,? Tommy said.
?But, when?? Trent asked. ?I?ve been with you guys!?
?Maybe that?s when,? I said. ?During the battle, I did hear him copy something, but I didn?t know what, since he didn?t get any new weapons.?
?This is what Mesogog wanted!? Connor said.
?We?re got to think of something,? Kira said.
?I think we should just go in and fight,? Ethan said.
?But will that work?? Tommy said. ?Sometimes just fighting isn?t the answer.?
?Not all wars are won by force,? I agreed. ?Sometimes you need to talk it out.?
?I don?t think he?ll listen,? Connor said.
?There?s only one way to find out,? Kira said.
We morphed and ran to the clone.

Chapter 33 Enchanting the Weapons
When I was able to use magic without any objection, I was at the Dino Lab, looking at the weapons and trying to figure out what to use to get the weapons to work the way I wanted to.
I spent all day in the Dino Lab, while the others were out having fun, trying to figure out what to do. It was only me and the zords, and even then, they really weren?t able to help me.
?Oh, what am I going to do?? I whispered as I went through the spells that I knew. ?What was I thinking, saying that I could enchant the weapons? I don?t even know how to make a rock float using magic.?
?What kind of talk is that?? asked a voice as AkaRed walked out from the shadows.
?AkaRed,? I said.
?I always told Grace, Marvelous, and Basco to never give up, no matter what,? AkaRed said. ?Do I need to tell you that, too??
?No, AkaRed,? I said. ?I just don?t know what spells to use on the weapons. There?s so many, yet so few.?
?Right down the ones that you know will help, along with what they do to the weapons, and then we?ll trim them down, together,? AkaRed said as he crossed him arms.
I nodded and did that.
Setting the list down on the table, AkaRed walked up to the table and picked it up, reading it carefully. ?You need to focus on elements,? he said as he put it on the table, pointing to the ones to be crossed out.
I took the pencil and crossed out the spells he told me to use. ?Now I have two spells that I can use for each weapon,? I said. ?I can take it down to one.?
?You want to take in mind that the element has to be similar to the color they use,? AkaRed said. ?Like the red ranger can use fire, blue is for water, yellow is for lightning, white is for ice, and black is for stars and space.?
?But, what about the gold rangers?? I asked.
?That one changes,? AkaRed replied. ?What do you want to control??
?Well, there?s one that I?ve thought of, but the element doesn?t have to do anything with my color,? I said.
?What element?? AkaRed said.
?Well, as you know, as elves, we connect ourselves to nature, which is for a green ranger,? I said. ?But I?m gold, not green.?
?Are you sure about that?? AkaRed said as he turned his back to me and a picture of the Earth appeared in the middle of the room, like a huge hologram. ?Come here.? As I walked up next to him, he continued by saying, ?What you see is blue, green, and white. But what I see if a planet full of golden rules, silver policies, and bronze relationships.?
?What do you mean?? I said, confused.
?Everyone, no matter what, has relationships, whether it be family, friends, or couples,? AkaRed said, snapping his fingers and the clouds turning from white to bronze. ?And there are policies that everyone knows that are there. Take rangers for example. Our policy is to protect Earth.? He snapped his fingers again and the land turned from green to silver. ?Now, we have gold. Every single person has rules that they follow, giving it the name ?golden?.? He snapped his fingers and the blue seas turned to gold. ?So, you see, where you see green, blue, and white, I see bronze, silver, and gold.?
?Thank you, AkaRed,? I said. ?I never thought of the world like that.? I looked back at the weapons. ?And now with that in mind, I can finish this.? I went back to the weapons and put the spells on the weapons, each thing glowing like the color of the element I used.
?I need to go,? AkaRed said. ?Tell others what I told you. Maybe if that happens, the world will become a better place.?
Before I could thank him, AkaRed was gone.
?Hey, Jen, how are you doing on the weapons?? Tommy asked through my morpher.
?I need you guys to come and try them out,? I replied. ?I?ve gotten the spells, but I need to see if it really works or if it?s back to the drawing board.?
The alarm went off.
?I guess we?re going to have to test it out in battle,? Tommy said. ?Where is it??
I checked the computer. ?The mall, like before,? I said. ?I?m bringing the weapons now. Just hang in there until I can get there and help out.?
?Will do,? Tommy said.
I morphed, grabbed the weapons, and ran out of the lab, looking one last time at the metallic planet that AkaRed had conjured up before it disappeared.

Chapter 32 Getting Copyotter
Finally, the rain cleared up, but not a day passed without me thinking about Grace and the dream. I was never able to see AkaRed again, but I knew that when he was ready, he would talk with me.
We were drawn into monster attack after monster attack.
But, we had problems with a monster called Copyotter.
?No one invited you!? Connor called as we ran to where Copyotter was, minus Trent because he was busy with something else.
?That?s what you think!? Copyotter replied. ?I didn?t see rangers on the guest list!?
?We?re crashing the party!? Ethan said.
?There?s something not right about this guy,? I whispered. ?There?s got to be a catch.?
?What catch?? Copyotter asked.
?Let?s just take him out!? Kira said.
?Yea, I agree with Jenny,? Tommy said.
I took out my bow and was about to fire it at Copyotter when he said, ?Copy!? and an identical bow appeared in his hands. ?That?s it!? I said. ?He can copy our weapons and our moves!?
?We?ll just have to be careful about that,? Kira said.
?Copy that!? Copyotter said and he repeated what Kira said, in her voice, as well.
?And voices,? Connor said. ?But no matter, we can still defeat him!?
The others got their weapons and we charged at Copyotter.
When we were thrown back, Trent came in, already morphed. ?Looks like you guys need some help,? he commented as he stepped in front of us. ?Drago Sword. Let?s see how some arrows do against him.?
?Trent, wait!? we cried, but Copyotter had already copied it and sent the attack back at Trent.
?In case you haven?t figured out by now,? Ethan said as Trent was hit by the last arrow, falling back, ?he can copy our attacks, voices, and weapons.?
?Voices?? Trent said.
?Yea, voices,? I said. ?Already copied Kira.?
?Just something more to watch out for,? Tommy said. ?I suggest we use more power.?
?Super Dino Mode!? we said, gaining the new power.
As we attacked Copyotter again, we were able to gain a hand over him, but he quickly took the power we gained back, copying all our weapons and putting them together, which threw us back, causing me and Trent to unmorph.
?Jenny! Trent!? Kira cried as she came to help us up.
?We?re fine,? Trent said.
?Yea, help the others,? I added.
Trent and I moved back against a wall, trying to regain our strength to morph again.
While waiting, the others were being taken down.
?I can?t stand this,? I said, shaking my head as Tommy unmorphed. ?I need to help them, fully recovered or not.? I morphed and took out my sabre, charging at Copyotter just as he made Connor unmorph, meaning that it was just me and him.
?Brave little elf, aren?t you?? Copyotter asked as he dodged my attack. ?Well, I hope you don?t mind that I?m going to copy you! Too late! Copy!? As he got my sabre, he blocked my attack and kicked me back, causing me to drop my guard, and slashed at me.
?Time for a back-up,? I said. Knowing that I was still weak at magic, I took my most powerful spell out of my deck that I knew and cast it at Copyotter. I was lucky that I caught him off guard, letting me then cast another spell, one not as powerful, but still able to help us out.
?A magician!? cried Copyotter. ?Well, I can copy spells! Copy!? He sent the spell I just used back at me and I was thrown back, unmorphing as I landed on some tables used for lunch: it was much more powerful than how I sent it.
It reminded me of the power of the spell that Gimlad had hit me with when I was in Monkzen and he was possessed by Mesogog.
?You?re just boring!? Copyotter said as I tried to recover. ?I?ll come back when you aren?t so weak!? He disappeared.
?We need a new plan,? Connor said as we brought ourselves to our feet again.
?You think?? Ethan asked.
?Something different,? Trent said.
?Once I recover, I think I can add a new power to our weapons,? I said. ?Not only will it look like it normally does, but it will also give us an edge for when Copyotter decides to copy our weapons.?
?After you recover,? Tommy said.
?I forgot how much melee magic drains me,? I said. ?Especially if I haven?t used it in awhile. It?ll take a few days for me to fully recover my strength that was lost in the battle.?
?Hopefully you won?t have to use it again,? Connor said.
?I think we should head home and rest,? Kira said.
?Yea, there?s nothing we can do here now,? Ethan said.
?I think so, too,? added Trent.
As we went home, I wondered how we were going to defeat Copyotter without the use melee magic and weapons, which is what we usually used if we couldn?t kick and punch.
When Kira and I got to her place, we sat down and thought about what to do, but the only thing we could think of is to wait for me to recover to try my hand at magic.

Chapter 31 Grace?s Helping Hand
?Get to the locker room,? I said. ?Hurry!?
The door closed behind the team and I knew that they wouldn?t see who I was without hearing them.
?You?re going to pay for what you did to AkaRed, Grace, and Marvelous!? I said as I raised my bracelet. ?Dino Thunder, Power Up! Allo!?
?Another Power Ranger?? Basco said, surprised. ?No matter, I?m still going to take you down. But, I?m curious, how do you know about AkaRed, Marvelous, and Grace??
?I just do,? I said. ?Allo Bow!?
?Not going to happen,? Basco said as he charged at me, kicking my bow out of my hand.
?You didn?t want to do that,? I said as I elbowed him. ?Dino Sabre!? I slashed him, but he wasn?t hurt, where even Elsa and Zeltrax would be pained by an attack like what I did. ?What?? I whispered.
?Sorry, but that?s not going to happen,? Basco said as he took out his sword and slashed me, even more powerful than I have ever felt.
I fell back. ?Dino Laser! Fire!? I said as I got back up quickly.
Basco used his sword to defect the attack. He sent a wave at me, causing me to fly back and hit the wall, unmorphing as I fell. ?That was just plain weak,? he said, walking to me, kicking my arm as I tried to get up, making me fall again. ?But, at least there will be one less ranger to take care of.?
?Leave her, Basco ta Jolokia!? called a voice and a shot hit Basco?s hand, causing him to drop his sword.
?Grace, how good to see you again,? Basco said as Grace walked up to where we were, her pirate gun ready to fire again at him.
?Jen, you ok?? Grace asked me as I brought myself to my feet.
?Yea, just sore,? I replied as I stepped back next to her.
?You should remember something about me, Basco,? Grace said coldly, turning her gaze to Basco. ?I protect friends with my life, and she is my friend. Just like how I helped Marvelous after you shot at us in the Galleon when you betrayed us.?
?What, you still haven?t gotten over that?? Basco scoffed as he picked up his sword again.
?Because of you, my father is gone!? Grace cried. ?How can I get over that if I know that I?m never going to see him again!??
?Looks like I need to finish my business,? Basco said.
?Don?t bother,? Grace said as she let her gun disappear. ?I?m going to take you out.? She took out a type of phone-morpher and a key that looked like a red pirate ranger. ?Gokai Change! GokaiRed, AkaRed!? She looked at me. ?Can you morph??
?I can,? I said. ?Dino Thunder, Power Up! Allo!?
?You see the problem you?ve made now?? Grace asked as she took her sword and gun out, resting the sword against her shoulder and letting the gun point to the ground. ?You?ve gotten two girls mad at you, one of them an elf trained in the style of fighting, and the other one still seeking her revenge for what you did years back.?
?That?s something you don?t really want,? I commented as I took out my bow. ?And you don?t want me to use the bow against you, since this is my skilled weapon.?
We charged at Basco, but he was able to hold us off easily.
But, when Grace went to do a final wave, Basco disappeared.
?Why did he run?? I asked as Grace called off her attack.
?He doesn?t want to be beaten,? Grace replied as she let her weapons disappear. ?Are you ok??
I nodded. ?Yea, I am,? I said. ?Just shaken up is all.?
?You?ve got to be careful with Basco,? Grace said as she rubbed her wrist. ?He?s a devious person, who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. After all, look at what he did to me, Marvelous, and Father.?
I looked at the ground. ?Where is Marvelous?? I asked.
?What?? Grace answered, confused.
?Marvelous, where is he?? I said.
?The Galleon,? Grace said.
?Which you are supposed to own,? I said.
?I gave it to Marvelous,? Grace said. She paused. ?How do you know that I own the Galleon??
?I had a dream, and as crazy as it sounds, I can talk to AkaRed, your father,? I said. ?I dreamt about what happened to you guys that caused AkaRed to sacrifice himself for you.?
?Why do you suddenly care about me like this?? Grace said.
?We?re friends, aren?t we?? I said.
?Yea, but that was years and years ago!? Grace said. ?It?s only history!?
?One you haven?t recovered from,? I said. ?The loss of a family member shakes you up, and you never get really get over it.?
?I know,? Grace said. She looked down and I guessed that if we weren?t in uniform, I would be able to see tears in her eyes. ?I?ve got to continue my mission, but Basco was only a distraction. Keep in touch.?
?Be careful,? I replied.
We powered down and she ran away while I went to the locker room.
?Thank goodness your ok!? Janet cried as I walked in, running to me and hugging me.
?What were you doing trying to take that man on?!? Destiny added.
?Believe it or not, I had help,? I replied. ?From the Power Rangers.?
?Really?? the others asked, surprised.
I nodded. ?Really,? I repeated. It was the closest to the truth that I could do.
