Chapter 1 Leaving *Jenny?s POV*
?Be careful, Jenny,? Lauldine Goldjewel, my mom, told me as I was about to leave Monkzen, my home.
?I will, Mom,? I replied as she hugged me.
?You?ve got to be extra careful out there,? Gimlad Goldjewel, my dad, added as he hugged me.
?And you?ve got to make sure you know who your allies are,? Seren Goldjewel, my uncle, said as he also hugged me.
?I?ll return once I?ve found allies for Monkzen,? I said. ?Until then, I hope we can keep in touch.? As I walked to the forest with my bag containing food, water, and clothes, I began to wonder if I?ll ever see Monkzen again.
After all, I was their lady, and the princess of the elves, but would those titles be given to Citrus Goldjewel, my cousin, if something happened to me?
I pushed by it and reached the edge of the forest. It turned back and waved at my family, who was on the steps of City Hall, and then disappeared into the surrounding forest.
It was several days where I was traveling with stops only for resting and eating. I found streams where I could replenish my water and I hunted for food, something elves could do easily with a bow and arrow.
Finally, I reached a place called Reefside. I hoped I could find some allies for Monkzen in there, someone to give aid, but I realized that it was humans, and that they didn?t even look like fighters.
?Ah man!? I whispered. ?This isn?t going to get me anywhere!? I retreated back into the forest, but I still kept close to watch and see what?s going on, seeing if they could prove me wrong.
It was sunset and I still hadn?t found any reason for me to see them as allies, but that?s when I saw them: four people in colored uniforms fighting a monster that had appeared.
I watched them for a long time and saw them get thrown back, losing their uniforms. I slowly crept out from behind the trees, still watching as the monster approached them.
Then, a person in a white uniform came and defeated the monster, getting into a huge robot and then destroying it again.
?Look, whose side are you on?? the boy who was in the red uniform said. ?You help us, but then you attack us! Make up your mind, why don?t you!??
?I work for no one,? the white uniformed boy said. He walked to the trees and saw me, charging at me and causing me to fall. ?Who are you?? he said as he placed his feather-sword close to my neck.
?None of your business,? I replied as I kicked him off and got to my feet, an arrow on my bow and ready to fire. ?You don?t want to mess with me.?
?Who?s she?? the boy who was in blue said.
?I don?t know,? the girl who was in yellow said.
?I don?t have a good feeling about this,? the man who was in black said.
The boy charged at me and I released my arrow, but it didn?t hurt him.
?Alright, arrows don?t work,? I whispered, replacing my bow. I blocked his first attack and punched him, but he grabbed my arm and threw my behind him.
?We?ve got to help her!? the boy who was in red said. ?Ready??
?Ready,? the other three said.
?Dino Thunder, Power Up!? they said and they turned back into their uniforms.
?Trent, leave her alone,? the boy in red said as he, the one in blue, and the one in black got in front of me as the girl in yellow helped me up.
?Are you ok?? she asked me.
?Who are you guys?? I replied.
?Don?t worry about who we are,? the girl answered.
?Kira, get her to the Dino Lab,? the man in black said.
?On it, Dr. O,? Kira said and we ran from the others as they fought the one called ?Trent?.
As we were running, Kira was suddenly struck from behind and she fell to a knee.
I watched as Kira tried to take down a monster that had hit her from behind, but she was defeated.
?Kira!? I cried as I ran to her. I got in front of her. ?Leave her!?
?What?s this?? the monster said, who appeared to look like a robot. ?Who are you??
?Your worst nightmare,? I said.
?Zeltrax,? said Dr. O as he came behind the robot-monster. ?Why attack Kira when it?s me you want??
?Tommy Oliver, we meet again,? Zeltrax said as he turned around.
Kira got up. ?We?re nearly there,? she whispered in my ear. ?Come on, we?re got to hurry.?
?But you can?t leave a teammate behind,? I said.
?He?ll hold up,? Kira said. She pulled me along and we ran into the forest, into a rock, but we passed through it like nothing.
?What just happened?? I asked, confused, as I looked back at the rock.
Kira didn?t answer: she went to a woman who was in front of a computer and said, ?Haley, what?s going on with the others??
?Trent and Zeltrax left,? Haley said. ?They should be back soon.?
The others came through the rock and unmorphed.
?So, now what?? the person who was red said.
?Why?d you want me to bring her here, Dr. O?? Kira asked. ?She?s not supposed to know who we are.?
?There?s something I?ve kept from you guys,? Tommy said as he got a box from behind the computer. ?There?s supposed to be another ranger to be part of the team.?

Chapter 30 Boys Against Girls
When school started again, I was better, so I could play soccer without any time to heal.
But there was a problem: because there was so much rain, and it still pouring down with no end in sight, the field was muddy and too dangerous to play on.
After all, several of the girls had already strained their ankles when they were trying to do a practice.
?For the meantime, we?re moving our practice indoors,? the coach said as we dressed out.
We nodded knowing it was best.
?We?ll also against the boy?s team,? the coach added.
At that, the other girls start to complain, saying that Connor was going to beat us.
?Guys, I beat Connor,? I said. ?That?s how I got on this team.?
They were surprised.
?So, if I?m your captain, and Connor is the captain, and I beat their captain, then I think we?ll win,? I said.
We walked together to the gym, lightning flashing outside.
?Practice would?ve been cancelled if we were outside,? said Paige.
?All more the reason we?re in the gym,? said Janet.
When we entered the gym, Connor and his team was already there.
Connor told the others something and they looked at us.
?Since when did Trent join the team?? Destiny asked.
I saw Trent as he stretched. ?No clue,? I replied.
?Alright, let?s warm-up and set this game started,? our coach said.
?When did Trent join?? I asked Connor as we shook hands.
?Soon after he turned good,? Connor replied. ?But we?re going to win.?
?Please,? I mocked. ?If I could beat both you and him, together, and I was alone, what makes you think that you?ll win when I have the other girls backing me up??
Connor chuckled. ?Kira, Ethan, and Dr. Oliver should be here in a few minutes,? he said, avoiding replying to my comment.
?May the best team win,? I said.
We went back to our sides and then got in place for the game, and it started off with me and Connor.
While Connor started off, I stole the ball from him, impressing my team, and surprising his team.
But Trent was quickly to try and take it from me.
?Paige!? I called as I side-kicked the ball to her.
Paige got it and we continued to their net, getting a goal.
?Yea!? we cheered as we gave each other a high-five.
As the game stopped for halftime, we took the time to just talk with the boys, since it was a type of ?Enemies on the field, friends off the field?. After all, we did play for the same school.
Connor, Trent, and I got together, Kira, Ethan, and Tommy talking while the halftime went by.
?So, you think you can beat us,? Trent said.
?We already are,? I said, looking at the score. ?Girls have three, boys have nothing.?
?We?re just going easy on you,? Connor said. ?I?m going to tell the others not to take it easy anymore.?
?Let?s see what that does,? I commented as the buzzer for the end of halftime sounded. Getting up, I added, ?The girls are going to pull this off.?
?A first time in Reefside High School history,? Connor said as he and Trent got up.
?Well then,? I said. ?I guess history will be made, as I believe the saying goes.?
We ended up winning, six to one, only Connor scoring once, and that was only because I was off the field for a quick break that the coach said I had to take, even though I was fine and still able to play.
?Remind me, how can you not break a sweat when you?ve played nearly a whole game?? Janet asked as we returned to the locker rooms.
?I?m really athletic,? I replied. ?I?m very fit.?
?But, still,? Destiny said as she wiped some sweat from her forehead. ?You aren?t even breathing hard.?
?Every morning I run for, at least, an hour,? I said. ?Sometimes for two or three hours, depending on what time it is.?
?That?s a lot,? Paige said. ?No wonder you?re our captain.?
Suddenly, a man appeared behind us.
We spun around.
The man was familiar, yet he wasn?t. I felt that I had seen him before, but if I did, I wouldn?t know where.
There was a pirate-ish look about him, but I knew that it wasn?t Marvelous, who I had seen wearing something totally different.
Then, I knew who it was.
The man in front of us was Basco.

Chapter 29 The Dream
I was in a construction site, on top of what seemed to be lava. I saw two people, one of them Grace, and the other boy was, I guessed was Marvelous. They were on top of a crane, being pushed to the edge by a type of monster, which I guessed were Gormin.
They were both hurt: Grace with her wrist and Marvelous with his arm. They reached the edge and stopped.
?This is Basco?s fault!? Grace said. ?He betrayed us!?
?He works for Zangyack,? Marvelous said.
The Gormin nearly got them when AkaRed jumped down and threw them back. ?You two, get out of here,? he said. ?Grace, the keys, ship, and Navi belong to you.?
?What do you mean?? Grace said, who was close to tears.
?Go to the ship!? AkaRed said. ?Now!? He charged at the Gormin.
?No!? the two pirates cried.
?AkaRed!? Marvelous exclaimed as he went to run after AkaRed.
?Marvelous, don?t!? Grace replied as she pulled him back. ?We need to follow what he says, and that?s to get to the Galleon.? She was crying. ?We have to.?
Marvelous looked at her, startled. ?Alright,? he said.
?Navi! The ropes!? Grace called.
Two ropes were dropped and the two grabbed on, being pulled up.
Grave looked down at AkaRed as he kept on fighting the Gormin, but being taken down. She turned away as there was a blast. ?No, Father,? she whispered.
Marvelous reached out and put an arm around her, grabbing hold of her rope so that he didn?t slip. ?I?m sorry, Grace,? he said. ?This is my fault. AkaRed told me to watch Basco for any signs of betrayal and I didn?t do that, instead letting my guard down so that he could take control.?
?No, it?s not your fault,? Grace said. ?I was told that, too, but I didn?t take listen to my father?s words. That?s my downfall: not listening to directions. And because of that, I have lost who is closest to me. I just can?t believe that this has happened in the most horrible way possible.?
?Grace,? I whispered.
As the construction site exploded, I saw the two get onto the ship and begin to float away.
I woke up, breathing quickly. ?That?s what happened to AkaRed,? I whispered. ?If only I could talk to him and see if that?s true or not.?
?But you can,? AkaRed said as he showed up next to my dresser. ?What you saw in your dream, everything is true.?
?How did Basco betray you guys?? I asked.
?I was showing him, Marvelous, and Grace the ranger keys that we had collected and the ship was attacked,? AkaRed said. ?Gormin came in and Basco took the treasure chest, and while Marvelous and Grace tried to fight back, he shot at them, Marvelous in the arm and Grace in her wrist, hurting them enough so that they couldn?t fight. I knew he had something different from the start, and I had a feeling that the other two wouldn?t go by my word, but it ended up both of them getting hurt.?
?Why did you sacrifice yourself?? I said. ?I just think that you could?ve gotten them to the Galleon and then followed them up.?
?If only it was that simple,? AkaRed said. ?There would?ve been no way for all three of us to get to the ship safely, and since they were still kids, it wouldn?t have felt right if one of them sacrificed them self for the other two.?
?Grace said that, when I met her, that we would see each other again,? I said. ?Do you know what that could mean??
?She wants to team up with you,? AkaRed replied. ?Expect her to come into a fight when you need help but the others won?t be around for some reason. She has a tendency to know when a friend needs help and will come.? He began fading. ?My time is nearly up here. Hopefully you have gotten your answers. If not, you?re going to have to wait until I return.? Before I could say anything, he disappeared.
?Thank you, AkaRed,? I whispered. ?What you told me has helped me. Now I know what to look for, and if I see Basco, he?ll wish that he?d never mess with the Red Pirate Gang.?
Thunder suddenly sounded and I jumped, startled because of how quiet it was.
?Thunder,? I mumbled. ?I was scared of a bit of thunder.? I shook my head and laid back down, but I never could get back to sleep.
After a lot of tossing and turning, I finally decided to get up.
?It?s too early to run,? I said as I looked at the clock in the kitchen, it reading three in the morning. ?I?ll wait until five, which I usually get up.?
The rain started at four, and it only got worst.
?I?ll skip running,? I said as I looked outside, seeing the ground muddy. ?I can?t walk in that.?
Lightning shot through the sky and the power went out.
?Is it raining?? Kira asked as she came down the stairs.
?Yea,? I said. ?And the power got knocked out.?
?It?ll come back on,? Kira replied as she sat down. ?I can?t go back to sleep with this noise going on.?
?Me, too,? I said as I also sat down. ?And I?m not running in the rain.?
?You shouldn?t run while you?re still healing,? Kira said. ?It?ll make it worse.?

Chapter 28 Defending Reefside
In the morning, Kira made us a small breakfast and then we reported to the Dino Lab, the others coming as well.
?Anything yet?? asked Tommy.
?Nothing,? Haley said.
?They?re coming!? Haley said at eleven fifty. ?They are heading to the industry center to start the attack. Better head over there. If I were you, I would wait to morph until they see who you are and then attack them.?
We nodded and ran out.
?Hey, no one invited you to the party,? I said as we ran out in front of that army.
?Jenny, you have tricked my guards,? Dugo said. ?Now, you must pay.?
?Sorry, but that?s not going to happen,? I said. ?You won?t take Reefside.?
?And why?s that?? Dugo said. ?Six unarmed people against hundreds of trained warriors. I don?t see how that means you?re going to win.?
?We?re not six unarmed people,? I said.
?Ready?? Connor said.
?Ready,? we said as we raised our bracelets, turning into our zords? heads.
?Dino Thunder, Power Up!? Connor, Ethan, Kira, Tommy, and I said.
?White Ranger, Dino Power!? Trent said.
?Tyranno!? Connor said. ?Tyranno Staff!?
?Tricera!? Ethan said. ?Tricera Shield!?
?Ptera!? Kira said. ?Ptera Grips!?
?Bracio!? Tommy said. ?Bracio Staff!?
?Drago!? Trent said. ?Drago Sword!?
?Allo!? I said. ?Allo Bow!?
?What?s that supposed to be?? Dugo asked as he took a step forward.
?In case you haven?t caught on by now, Lord Dugo,? I said as we got our weapons at the ready to fight, also getting in our fighting stances, ?we?re Power Rangers, and we won?t let you take Reefside, where we live and defend!?
?We?ll just see about that,? Dugo said. ?Attack!?
?Let?s do this!? Connor said as the elves charged at us.
While some points where we were almost thrown back, we were assisted by the others.
But, Dugo casted an unexpected spell and it was able to throw all of us back.
?A spell isn?t going to stop us!? Trent said as we got back up.
?I?ve faced worst,? I commented.
?We?ve had stronger monsters attack us,? Kira said.
Suddenly, Zeltrax came behind us.
We faced him.
?Not really a good time, Zeltrax,? Tommy said.
?I?m not here to fight you,? Zeltrax said.
?What?? Ethan said.
?Reefside will be taken down, but not by him,? Zeltrax replied as he pointed his sword at Dugo. ?Mesogog has ordered me and Elsa to get the Tyrannodrones and to take him out. So as of right now, I?m not going to fight you.?
I was confused. ?So we?re?allies?? I asked slowly.
?For now,? Zeltrax said.
?Mesogog is most displeased,? Elsa said as she came next to Zeltrax. ?Took everything I got to keep him from coming, himself. Tyrannodrones! Take the army down!?
The Tyrannodrones began to fight.
?Dr. Oliver, are you sure we should be doing this?? asked Ethan.
?If it?s going to help us, then yes,? Tommy said.
We charged at the army again, eventually leaving only Dugo left.
?So, it?s only you,? I said. ?Well, what do you think about not following the Goldjewel family now??
?I yield,? Dugo said, dropping his sword.
?Good,? I said as I turned around and began to walk to the Dino Rangers.
?Behind you!? Trent cried.
I spun around and dodged the attack of the dagger that Dugo had drawn, trying to attack me from behind. In response, I kicked him back and jumped back, making my way to the others but not taking my eyes off of him. ?Mesogog can do whatever he wants with him,? I told Elsa and Zeltrax. ?I?ve had enough to do with him, just like the other rangers.?
Zeltrax took Dugo away in a portal.
?Don?t expect this to mean anything in the future, rangers,? Elsa said. ?This was only for now. Reefside will be taken down, but by Mesogog, not anyone else.? She disappeared in a portal, as well.
?Keep saying that,? I said. ?But it?ll never work.?
?Great, now things can go back to normal,? Tommy said. ?I say this is the perfect opportunity to go home and take a few days off of reporting to the Dino Lab. You guys deserved it, especially you, Jenny.?
We nodded and went home.

Chapter 27 Reefside
?You know, that wasn?t entirely acting,? I said as I put a hand on my foot. ?A few nights ago, I really did fall and hurt myself.?
?Why didn?t you tell us?? asked Connor.
?I know you guys would react in a negative way,? I said. ?And right now, the last thing we need is to be set back by you guys fussing over my health.?
?We can worry about this when we get back to Reefside,? Tommy said before the others could protest. ?Jenny, can you lead the way??
I nodded as Trent and Ethan gave me my weapons. I put an arrow on my bow and started walking, the others following close behind.
Soon, the forest started looking familiar, even more familiar than before.
?I think we?re getting close,? Trent said.
?Yea, this is really starting to look like the Dino Lab,? Kira added.
?We?re nearly back,? Ethan said.
?Hold on,? I said as I got to a knee, checking the ground. I picked up an arrowhead. ?This looks familiar.? I turned it around a few times, trying to find out where it came from. I looked at my arrowhead and then realized what was happening: Dugo had discovered Reefside, but he wasn?t trying an attack yet. ?Oh no! Dugo!?
?What about Dugo?? Connor said.
?See this arrowhead?? I asked as I held it up to them, Tommy taking it and looking at it. ?That?s from Dugo?s army! He?s going to try to defeat Reefside to expand his kingdom!?
?To the Dino Lab,? Tommy said.
We took off running to the Dino Lab, where Haley was, checking the city for some monster attacks.
?Hey guys,? Haley said. ?Everything ok with Monkzen??
?Yea, everything?s fine,? Connor said.
?Haley, has there been any strange activity going on?? Tommy asked.
?No, nothing that I can pick up,? Haley said. ?Why??
?There?s going to be an attack,? I said.
?Attack?? Haley said. ?Jen, are you sure??
?We?re all sure,? Ethan said.
?Based on what happened to us while coming back,? Kira said.
?Where did you guys get those collars?? Haley said.
?From some people who captured us,? Trent said.
?Why don?t you remove them?? Haley suggested.
?We can?t: we fell weak and it?s like a fire burning inside of us,? Connor said.
?I think I can counter that,? Haley said. ?The zords can use the connection you have with them to counter the feelings while you take them off. Just talk to them while I take them off.?
?AlloZord,? I thought.
?How was your trip?? AlloZord said.
?Not really good,? I said. ?I?m going to need your help with something.?
?I?ll always help you,? AlloZord said.
I told AlloZord what was going on and I didn?t realize that Haley had removed my collar until I felt a magical feeling flood through me.
?Better?? AlloZord asked, knowing what Haley had done.
?Better,? I replied. ?Thanks for helping me.?
?Hey, what are Dino Siblings for?? AlloZord said.
?So, now that you?ve gotten that taken care of,? Haley said as she placed the collars on the table next to the computer, ?what are we going to do about the attack??
?There?s no way to stop them once they?re determined,? I said as the others looked at me, expecting me to know what to do. ?The only thing we can do is fight.?
?But we saw how easily they took you down,? Kira said.
?How can we beat them if they can beat you so quickly, since you?re the strongest here?? Ethan said.
?You forget one thing,? I said as I held up my bracelet, the AlloZord head appearing on it. ?That?s while I was taken by surprised, unmorphed and already hurt. This will be when we know what?s coming, morphed up, and uninjured.?
?I like where you?re going,? Connor said.
I smiled and nodded. ?Right now, let?s go home and rest,? I said. ?We?ll report here tomorrow morning once we?ve had breakfast and see what happens. Knowing Dugo, he will begin the attack tomorrow, at noon.?
?You should know,? Trent said.
?Right,? Tommy said.
?Time for a rest,? Kira said.
While the others began going home, I told Haley, ?If there?s anything that happens before we get here, contact me and then tell the others.?
?Will do, Jenny,? Haley said.
I ran out after Kira and we walked home together.

Chapter 26 Rivalries
It was nighttime, and the sound of the door opening caused us to wake up. We looked at each other and then at the door, where several guards appeared.
?King Dugo wants to talk to her, the elf,? the captain said as he pointed at me.
I got to my feet. ?I?ll be fine,? I told the others as they passed worried glances at each other.
Still unsure, but knowing better than to try to tell the guards differently, they let me go.
The guards surrounded me, as if afraid I was going to break out, which I wouldn?t even begin to dream of without the others knowing, as well.
I was lead into a throne room, where an elf sat on the throne.
Without being told to, I got down to a knee and bowed my head. ?Lord Dugo,? I said.
?That?s ?King? to you,? Dugo said as he got up.
?I?m sorry, but you know that I do not address you as ?King?,? I said as I got to my feet. ?That term goes to my father, Gimlad Goldjewel of Monkzen.?
?Well, I have news for you, Jennifer,? Dugo said. ?In here, there is no Monkzen, no Goldjewel, so you?d better get use to calling my ?King?.?
?No,? I replied.
?What?? Dugo said.
?No,? I repeated. ?In your mind, you say that there is no Monkzen, but in my mind, there is a Monkzen, and that is my home.?
?Then what are you doing so far away?? Dugo demanded.
?Trying to take some friends home,? I said. ?But we went off the path without knowing it.?
?You never see people as ?friends?,? Dugo said. ?Therefore, I don?t believe you.?
?Then what type of punishment do you see for me?? I said, seeing no point in trying to argue with someone as stubborn as Dugo. ?Whatever it is, I just want one thing: for my friends to be unharmed. They have nothing to do with this, not being elves and just visiting for a little bit. You know you have to abide by my wish.?
?You are now under my command,? Dugo said. ?As for your friends, they won?t be hurt, unless they don?t follow the rules.?
?That wasn?t part of the deal!? I protested.
?You said that they just had to be unharmed,? Dugo said as he turned away from me. ?You never said anything else.?
?You know what I meant!? I said. ?They have no knowledge about elves and who to life like them!?
?You brought them into this,? Dugo said. ?I have no sympathy for you.? He snapped his fingers. ?Take her back to the prison.? He walked out of the room.
When I was back in the prison, the others knew right away that I had gotten us nowhere with getting us out of here.
?What happened?? Kira asked.
?I tried to get you guys out of here, but instead, I?m under Dugo?s rule and I don?t even know what?s going to happen to you guys,? I said. ?Man, I really messed up.?
?Hold on, doesn?t gold and black use invisibility?? Connor said.
?And gold and white use teleportation?? added Ethan.
Tommy, Trent, and I looked at each other.
?That?s it,? I said. ?We can use our gems to get out of here!?
?We?ll do whatever we can,? Tommy said.
?I at least need to find my sword and arrows before we go,? I said. ?Those are the only things I have that I can use to protect myself while traveling.?
?I saw a guard with them,? Kira said as she looked at where some guards passed by.
I saw my arrows and my sword with them. ?He has them,? I said. ?I need to get them back. But, how??
?Maybe if we act hurt,? Ethan whispered slowly. ?That might get them inside.?
?Just play along with me,? I said as I got up and took a step. I fell to the side, grabbing my ankle. ?Ah, my ankle!? I cried.
?Jenny, are you ok?? asked Connor as he helped me sit up.
?No, I can?t stand,? I said.
?We need a hand!? Tommy said as he went to where het guard was, who had stopped walking and watched us. ?She?s been hurt!?
?Nonsense,? the guard replied. ?Nothing?s happened to her while she?s here!?
?Yea, well, before you captured us, I had twisted my ankle,? I said as Kira tried to help me up, but I fell again.
?Let me see,? the guard said as he opened the door and came to me. I took note that he set my weapons on the ground next to him as he checked on my ankle, Trent silently getting them and him and Ethan hiding them behind their backs. He tried moving it, but I faked that it pained me. ?I?m going to get you to infirmary.?
Tommy winked as the guard got me up.
?I don?t think so,? I said as I kicked him.
?You faked it!? the guard exclaimed as he balanced himself.
?Yea, I did,? I said. ?So that we can get out of here!?
Tommy and I turned us invisible and then Trent and I teleported us out of the prison, to the forest nowhere near where we were before, but me still knowing the direction to go in.
?That was close,? Kira said as we relaxed for the moment.

Chapter 17 An Old Friend
When practice was over, Connor and I joined the others while they were at the Dino Lab.
?Jenny, are you ok?? Lauldine asked me as she hugged me.
?I?m fine, Mom,? I said. ?But what about you? You were taken from Monkzen.?
?I?m fine,? Lauldine said. ?I wasn?t hurt during what happened.?
?How did they get you?? I asked.

?But you don?t know what happened to Dad?? I said.
Lauldine shook her head. ?There?s no way I can contact Monkzen,? she said. ?I only know that Gimlad was doing well in his fight. But, as you know, things change and that could?ve easily been overturned.?
?I don?t have a good feeling,? I said. I turned to the rangers. ?Guys, I need to get home to see Dad. If the Tyrannodrones were fighting him, then I think that I need to make sure everything is in order.?
Ethan, Connor, Kira, and Trent looked at Tommy for what to do next.
?Jen, can it wait for a few days?? Tommy asked. ?It?s going to be winter break soon, so then we?ll come with you just in case Mesogog is trying anything.?
?I?ll try,? I said. ?But no promises.?
?I?ll watch her,? Kira said.
The alarm went off and Tommy pressed a button on the computer. ?Here?s something to keep you preoccupied, Jen,? he said as Tyrannodrones and a new monster appeared. ?Lauldine, stay here.?
?Everyone ready?? Connor asked.
We nodded.
?Dino Thunder, Power Up!? we said.
?White Ranger, Dino Power!? Trent said.
?Tyranno!? Connor said.
?Tricera!? Ethan said.
?Ptera!? Kira said.
?Bracio!? Tommy said.

?Allo!? I said.
?And I thought that I had seen everything,? Kira said as we stopped in front of the monster and the Tyrannodrones, who were invading a shopping mall.
?A bunch of Tyrannodrones looking for clothes,? Ethan said.
?What, Elsa couldn?t come, herself?? Connor mocked.
?Rangers, I knew you?d come!? the monster said.
?We?re not here to play games!? Tommy said.
?This is between us and her,? the monster said, pointing at me. ?Mesogog didn?t like your message.?
?Too bad, then!? I said. ?Because I meant every word of it!?
The monster charged at us, along with the Tyrannodrones, but we easily took down the Tyrannodrones.
?What?s your name, anyways?? Trent said.
?Vespitor,? the monster replied.
?Vespitor,? I whispered. ?That name, it sounds familiar.?
?So, you recognize it,? Vespitor said. ?Maybe from one of the armies.?
?General Vespi!? I cried.
?Yes,? Vespi said. ?See what happened to me? Now I work for Mesogog.?
?There?s no way that attack could?ve done that to you!? I said. ?That couldn?t have turned you like that!?
?Last time you saw me, you thought that I was gone,? Vespi said. ?Mesogog restored my health and gave me this form. I lived to serve the Goldjewel family, but you deserted me. Twelve years ago, no one ever checked to see if I was fine. Now, I will take my revenge, starting with you, Jennifer Goldjewel.?
I took a step back. ?I would never do anything to hurt you,? I said. ?When I had seen you, you were unconscious. I felt that you were part of the family. I always stood up for you if Mom and Dad thought you did something that was out of place.?
?What you say doesn?t faze me,? Vespi said.
?Fine,? I said as I took out my sabre. ?Then I?ll make you remember what had happened.?
?Nothing can do that,? Vespi said.
I drew a circle in the air with my sabre. It started glowing as soon as I finished it. ?Remember the past,? I said as I sent it at Vespi.
Suddenly, Mesogog appeared and sent the attack back at me, causing me to get hit. ?Pathetic elf, do you really think that would work?? he asked as I got back to my feet. ?He works for me now.? He shot a ray at me and I fell back to the ground. ?And that was for the message. Vespitor, return to the lair to plan the next attack.? He and Vespi disappeared.
?Dang it,? I whispered as I got up. ?How am I supposed to fight a general??
?For now, let?s return to the Dino Lab,? Tommy said.

Chapter 25 Problems
In the morning when we were packed up and ready to go, we ate a small breakfast and then continued our walk to Reefside.
While the others but Trent didn?t notice, I had a slightly limp in my step, which I suspected was from also landing on my foot.
?You?re limping,? Trent said as he fell back next to where I was, a few feet behind the others.
?I know,? I replied. ?I landed on my foot, as well.?
?Man, I?d hate to be you,? Trent said. ?What can I do to help you out??
I shook my head. ?There?s nothing that can be done,? I said. ?I?m the only one who can pull through this. So I need to tough this out.?
?Alright,? Trent said. ?If you say so.?
?Trent, I know you?re trying to help me out, and I get that you want to lend a hand, which I?m fine with,? I said. ?But if I need anything, I?ll let you know.?
Trent nodded. ?Ok,? he said.
?Hey, Jen,? Connor said. ?Are we going in the right direction? This doesn?t look familiar.?
I looked around. ?We went the wrong way,? I said, realizing where we were. ?We?ve got to get out of here, now!?
?What?s the hurry?? asked Kira, worried.
?No time to explain!? I replied. ?Just follow me!? Before I could take off, someone came in front of me and knocked me off my feet.
?You?re trespassing on King Dugo?s land,? the person said as I got back up.
?We strayed off the path,? I said, trying to conduct myself in a peaceful manner.
?There is no straying off the path in the king?s book,? the person replied. ?Only spies.?
?We?re not spies,? Tommy said.
?You have an elf from Monkzen,? the person said as he pointed to me. ?And Monkzen is an enemy.?
?By the rule of King Dugo, you all are under arrest,? the person said.
?Not if I have anything to say about it,? I said. ?Guys, get out of here! Run!? I kicked back the person and took a step back.
?No, not without you,? Connor said.
?Now!? I ordered. ?I?ll be right behind you!?
The others began running and I had to cast a spell at the person as he got up, but it didn?t work.
Instead, I ran after the others, but the person was quickly catching up.
?Duck!? cried Trent as he and the others ducked under a branch.
I slid underneath it and got back up, but the person had caught up with me and took me to the ground.
?Jenny!? called Trent as he stopped, the others as well.
?Go!? I said as I failed to get out of the person? grip. ?Now! Get back to Reefside! They need the Power Rangers!?
?But they also need the ranger in gold,? Tommy said.
?I?ll be fine!? I said.
The person pointed to the others and suddenly, they were surrounded by more of Dugo?s followers.
?Dang it,? I whispered.
?You all are put under arrest,? the person repeated as he forced a kind of collar on my neck.
I felt weak as a type of magic that I wasn?t use to started to enter my body from the collar. ?No,? I said as the others had the collar put on, as well. ?Guys.?
?Come on,? the person said as he forced me to start moving, the others following.
When we entered the city, we were placed in a type of prison.
?They?re elves,? Kira said.
?But, Jen, I thought that you were the princess of the elves,? Connor said.
?That?s what you told us,? Ethan said.
?I am,? I said.
?So, then why are they treating you like this?? Tommy said.
?Yea, I thought that there was this type of respect for kings and queens,? Trent said.
?But here, they don?t think that the Goldjewels are a fit family to rule over every single elf,? I said as I looked outside. ?They don?t believe that we are fit royalty and that someone else should take lead.?
?There?s got to be some way to get out of this,? Connor said.
?Magic,? I said.
?Then why don?t you use it?? Kira suggested.
?This collar that they put on us is used to counter out the magical ability in our blood,? I said. ?Elves are born with it, but not everyone can unlock it. They put this on everyone because they never know if they are magical or not, since there?s no special looks if you have magic. I don?t even think we can morph with this on.?
?Then let?s take it off,? Ethan said as he went to break it apart.
?Wait!? I cried as I grabbed his wrist. ?Trust me, if you do that, you will not like the outcome. If you do that, you feel weaker, and it also sends a burning feeling through your body.?
Ethan lowered his hand and I went back to my place sitting by the window.
The others sighed and we fell into silence, soon, falling asleep.

Chapter 24 Family of a Ranger
Since there wasn?t such a hurry to get home, we were able to take our time.
When we stopped for the night, we powered down and while the others were setting up tents and the fire, I was hunting for dinner.
But because the others didn?t think it was a good idea for me to go off alone, even though I had been doing that all my life, they had Trent join me.
When I was able to bring back a few wild birds for a stew that Kira was making, she added it and we ate as soon as it was done.
While the others were beginning to go to bed, I got up and said, ?I need to go run for a bit. I don?t need anyone to come with me: I do this alone and with what I do, since it doesn?t just include running, you guys wouldn?t be able to keep up.?
?Just be careful,? Tommy said.
?Will do,? I said as I slung my quiver over my back and put my bow in my hand. ?After all, I still have my deadly accuracy with my arrows to give me a hand.?
The others nodded and I left the camp, running and climbing trees, jumping from tree to tree and then running on the ground again.
While I was jumping form a heavy branch, I didn?t realize the other branch I was aiming for was already breaking and it snapped, causing me to fall and hit the ground. ?Ow,? I moaned as I rolled onto my side. ?Next time, Jenny, make sure the branch you?re going to jump on isn?t breaking.?
?Here,? said a voice and a hand entered my eyesight. ?I?m a friend.?
?Thanks,? I said as I took it and got pulled to my feet, leaning on a tree as I tried to get the pain to go away from what I thought was a broken rib. ?Um, who are you??
?I told you, a friend,? the person said.
?Quit with the riddles,? I growled.
?If you must know, I?m AkaRed?s daughter,? the person said.
?AkaRed?s daughter?? I asked. ?He has a daughter??
?Yea,? the girl said. ?I?m Grace. And you are??
?Jenny,? I said. ?You mean you?re AkaRed?s daughter, the same AkaRed that visited me a few nights ago while I was in Monkzen??
?What do you mean?? Grace asked. ?He?s been gone since, oh I don?t know, I think seven years.?
?What?? I said.
?Yea, he formed the Red Pirate Gang, starting with just me and him, and then added Marvelous, and then Basco, who then turned out to betray us to Zangyack and while Marvelous and I were fighting the Gormin, who outnumbered us greatly, Father sacrificed himself for me and Marvelous, charging into the Gormin while we ran,? Grace said. ?I haven?t seen him since.?
?Ok, mostly everything you said just flew over my head,? I said. ?What? ?Red Pirate Gang?? And who?s Marvelous? And Basco? And who?s this Zangyack you said? What are Gormin??
?Oh, it?s hard to explain,? Grace said. ?I?m just continuing my mission that Father gave me.?
?Which is?? I asked.
?Classified,? Grace said. ?Sorry. But I know that you are a ranger, just by your bracelet. Dino Thunder, right??
I looked at my bracelet. If she was another ranger, then I was safe telling her I was a ranger, right? Or was this a trick? Everything seemed to play out, even if I had no clue who Marvelous, Basco, Zangyack, and Gormin are, and when I?ve never heard about this pirate gang. But, now that she was saying it, she did look like she was wearing pirate-like clothes.
Finally, I nodded. ?Gold Ranger, Dino Thunder,? I said. ?You??
?Red Pirate Gang,? Grace said. ?Need I say more??
?I guess not, Red Pirate,? I said. ?I?ve gotta return to the others before they worry about me and then get lost trying to find me.?
?Of course,? Grace said. ?But can you walk? That was a nasty fall you took.?
?I?ll be fine,? I promised as I pushed myself off the tree that I was leaning on, but falling back against it as I felt some pain rise up in my sides.
?Let me help you,? Grace offered as she grabbed one of my arms and put it around her neck. ?After all, you need to help out other rangers, right??
?Right,? I said. ?Fine, but when the others are in view, let me go by myself.?
?I was planning to,? replied Grace. She helped me get to where the others were before leaving. ?We?ll see each other again,? she said and then she was gone.
I put a hand over my stomach where I felt my ribs hurt, knowing that I won?t be able to fight while I recover, and that soccer was also out of the question. But, I saw that while the others were asleep in their tents, Trent was still up. I walked into view.
?What happened?? Trent whispered, helping me inside and sitting me down on a log.
?I was doing some jumping, so that I could keep in shape with that when I return to Monkzen, and the branch I was going to land on was already broken and I fell,? I said. ?Stupid, I know.?
?Not really,? Trent said. ?You had no clue that was going to happen. But you really need to rest right now.?
I nodded and went into my tent, going to sleep.

Chapter 23 The Final Takedown
Vespi was able to block the punch I gave and threw me back.
?Whoa!? I cried as I was thrown off my feet.
?Are you ok?? AlloZord asked as it got back up.
?Yea,? I said. ?I have a plan. Switching to free-fight mode! Allo Bow!?
As AlloZord changed to the form of a fighter, it also got the bow that I normally used in battle.
?What, a little difficult?? asked Vespi.
?Not this time,? I said as I moved my hands so that the megazord went to pull back an arrow. ?Fire!? I released my back hand and an arrow struck Vespi.
?Going to take more than that, for your information,? Vespi said.
?I?m just getting started,? I said. ?With the excess armor that came off, I can have it form several more weapons. But there?s only one I need right now. AlloZord Sword!?
AlloZord got a sword and swung at Vespi.
Vespi blocked it and knocked AlloZord back again.
?Need a hand?? asked Trent as his megazord caught me before I hit the ground.
?Good timing,? I commented as AlloZord got back to its feet and Connor, Ethan, and Kira came on the other side of me. ?Dr. O, I could use an extra had in here!?
?I guess I?m going back to the megazord,? Tommy said as he jumped up and landed inside the cockpit.
?As a team,? Connor said. ?Now that even Dr. Oliver is back to megazord fight, we have even more power than before! Let?s do this, guys!?
?Yea!? the rest of us said.
We attacked Vespi and took him down.
?Now, I think we can go home,? Kira said.
?Agreed,? Trent said.
?I also agree,? Connor said.
?Back home again!? Ethan said.
?Jen, anything else we need to do?? Tommy asked.
I shook my head. ?The only thing we need to do is to get home,? I said.
We let the zords return home and then went to tell the others goodbye.
?Jenny, erase our memories about what happened in the last few days,? Gimlad said.
I was startled. ?What?? I asked.
The other elves looked at Gimlad, confused.
?You said so yourself: the less people who know about this, the better,? Gimlad said. ?Well, there?s already seven people who know who you are. Let?s keep the number as low as possible. Do you remember the spell I told you for erasing memories??
I nodded. ?But are you sure you want to forget this?? I said.
?If it means you not losing the powers you have, then yes, we?ll do it,? Citrus said.
The others nodded.
?Alright,? I said. I did the spell.
The others were still for a moment then Vosa said, ?Who are you guys??
?I guess it worked,? Connor said.
?What worked?? asked Lauldine.
?And what are you guys doing in Monkzen?? added Seren.
?Don?t worry about that,? I said, changing my voice slightly. ?We were just sorting out a problem, but everything fine now. Go ahead and returned to what you?re supposed to do.?
The others left.
?Now, to Reefside,? Ethan said.
The rangers went ahead of me while I turned back to the elves, who did even look back at me, thinking.
?Coming?? Trent asked as he came back to me, the others already way ahead of both of us.
?Yea,? I said.
?Is something wrong?? Trent said.
?I don?t know how powerful that spell was,? I said. ?I know that it was supposed to erase their memories for the past few days, but what else was it supposed to do? I remember a side-effect from that spell.?
?They?ll be fine,? Trent said. ?I know it.?
I nodded. ?You?re right,? I said. ?I think I?m over-exaggerating.?
Trent and I began walking after the others, who were already far ahead, still not noticing that we weren?t with them.
I looked over my shoulder and I saw AkaRed leaning on a tree, watching me.
?I remember,? I whispered.
Trent looked back. ?Who are you talking to?? he asked.
?No one,? I said. ?Just myself.?
?Hurry up, you two!? called Connor, who finally noticed that we weren?t with them.
Trent and I ran after them and we continued walking.
I looked over my shoulder for the final time.
AkaRed nodded and disappeared.

Chapter 22 Fighting Vespi
When I finally woke up, I was fully recovered, which the others were glad of.
But we still had the problem of getting rid of the Tyrannodrones.
We spent most of our day doing that, Mesogog never making a second appearance, but with the threat still around, we knew that we had to be alert.
Just like before, we kept our uniforms on, so that the other elves didn?t find out who we were.
I had a feeling that we?d need to do a serious battle, and with the zords nowhere near, that would be a serious problem. I would be the only person who would be able to fight, since AlloZord could always be summoned in the forest.
When I brought it up, the others realized what a problem that would be.
?We?ll work on it,? Tommy said. ?For now, don?t worry about it.?
We nodded and then went to battle where the new Tyrannodrone attack was.
Once it was official that all the Tyrannodrones were gone, we were going to return to Reefside the next morning, but I still had a feeling that we?d need to do a bigger battle.
And in the morning, right before we left, just like I kept on having the feeling for, Vespi showed up.
?I guess you were right,? Connor said as we turned to him.
?We aren?t through, Jennifer Goldjewel,? Vespi said.
?Now, you already know that I hate being called that, so why do you do it?? I commented.
?Jen, who is that?? Citrus asked.
The others were going to walk us to the edge of the forest so that we could have a proper farewell.
?Yea, how does he know your name?? added Vosa.
?You really wanna know who that is?? I said. ?That?s General Vespi. Mesogog turned him against us.?
?Vespi?? whispered Gimlad.
?You still will go down,? Vespi said as he charged at us.
?No holding back this time,? I said as we got ready to fight.
The others nodded.
?Tyranno Staff!? Connor said.
?Tricera Shield!? Ethan said.
?Ptera Grips!? Kira said.
?Bracio Staff!? Tommy said.
?Drago Sword!? Trent said.
?Allo Bow!? I said.
We charged at Vespi and fought him, but he used trickery and we were suddenly surrounded by a black smoke.
?What?s going on?? Ethan said.
?Stay alert,? Tommy warned.
I took a step back and bumped into someone. Spinning around I saw that it was Vespi and kicked him, but it turned out to be Tommy. ?Tommy!? I cried. ?I?m so sorry! I thought that you were Vespi!?
?Same here,? Tommy said.
We were double-teamed by two Vespis, but we knew there was only one.
?Trick,? I said.
?Go easy,? Tommy said.
We both did light punches and Trent and Connor turned back to normal.
?Wait, you aren?t him!? Connor said.
?And neither are you,? I said.
We attacked Vespi as he came next to Connor, but it was Kira.
?Kira!? we cried.
?I?m good,? Kira said. ?But you guys aren?t him.? She suddenly spun around and went to attack Vespi with her Ptera Grips, but it was Ethan. ?And neither are you!?
?Why would I?? Ethan asked.
?Guys, we still have the smoke around us,? Trent pointed out.
A gust of wind suddenly caused the smoke to clear.
?Well, now that we have a chance to actually see you,? I said as we faced Vespi, who was leaning on a tree, watching us with humor as we fought each other instead of him, ?we?re going to defeat you.?
?Try me,? Vespi said.
?Let?s put it together,? Connor said.
?Z-Rex Blaster!? we said as we combined our weapons. ?Fire!?
?Not good,? Vespi said and he was taken down.
?Goodbye, General,? I said as we turned around.
?You haven?t taken me down yet!? Vespi said as he turned into a mega monster.
?Just like I feared,? I said. ?I?ll take AlloZord and you work on getting the others here. AlloZord, rise from the forest!? I jumped into AlloZord as it made my megazord. ?Ready, Allo??

?I just can?t take the fact that I did that to her!? I heard Gimlad say.
?Uncle,? Citrus said.
?It wasn?t you fault,? Seren said.
?You were under a very powerful spell,? Lauldine said.
?And you?re not the only one to blame for the state she?s in,? added Tommy.
?Yea, Mesogog did a number on her after she turned you back to normal,? Connor said.
?An attack from behind, and we all know that we can?t defend there,? Ethan said.
?It?s unforgiving,? Kira said.
?Even we learn at a young age to not go for the back,? added Vosa.
?And we still go by that, today,? Amo said.
?But Mesogog will be taken down, I know it,? Savo said.
?Are you sure she?ll be ok?? Gimlad asked. He took my hand and held it firmly. ?I mean, my attacks are strong, and even after they find a target, they do damage to the inside some time after it?s been cast.?
?I already took that part away,? Lauldine said. ?As of right now, she?s only recovering from Mesogog.?
?And she also did that for Trent,? added Seren.
I finally found the strength to open my eyes. ?What happened?? I asked as everyone turned to me. ?I remember Mesogog disappearing and then Kira and Citrus helping me, but then nothing else after that.?
?We brought you here, where you haven?t been responsive, until now,? Citrus said as she hugged me. ?Next time, don?t scare me to death like that.?
?I won?t,? I promised. ?But, how?s Trent doing?? I looked over at where Trent was, who was still passed out.
?He was able to talk to us for a few minutes, but he went to sleep again,? Tommy said.
?So, we know that he?s fine,? Kira said.
?Right now we were concerned about you, since you hadn?t moved since the battle,? Connor said.
?You really scared us,? Seren said.
?I?m fine, I think,? I said as I tried to sit up, but Gimlad kept me down.
?You need to rest,? Gimlad said. ?You know that you need to get all your strength back before you try to do anything.?
?Alright,? I said as I laid back down.
?We?ll let you get some sleep,? Lauldine said. ?We just had to make sure that you were fine before we left you alone.?
?I understand,? I said. The others walked out and I was left alone. I looked over at Trent again, hoping that he really was ok, and then went back to sleep.
When I woke up again, it was nighttime, Trent was gone, which I guessed he was fine and joined the others, but I still wasn?t alone: a man in a red Power Ranger suit, one that I had never seen before, was sitting in a chair nearby.
?You?re awake,? the man said as he got to his feet.
?Who are you?? I asked.
?Don?t be scared,? the man said. ?I?m AkaRed.?
?AkaRed?? I said.
AkaRed nodded.
?Ok, but what are you doing here?? I said.
?I must tell you something that will affect you in the future,? AkaRed said.
?If it?s in the future, then I think I?ll want to wait,? I replied. ?Bad stuff can happen if you know the future and you want to change it.?
?This could mean the fall of Monkzen if you don?t hear this,? AkaRed said.
?Alright, what is it?? I said.
?Monkzen will get their own ranger team,? AkaRed said.
?What?? I whispered. ?It can?t be. Power Rangers, in Monkzen??
?It can, and will, be,? AkaRed said. ?The person who leads them will be a great fighter, who knows what to do, and has been through a lot in the past before this team is formed. Family will be a great factor in this team, with many of the rangers being from the same family tree. But friends are also important, with all these rangers knowing each other.?
?But how could that lead to Monkzen?s downfall?? I asked. ?I?m confused.?
?An old enemy will return, with more strength than before,? AkaRed replied. He started fading. ?I must go. Be careful, Jennifer Goldjewel.?
Before I could ask any questions, AkaRed disappeared, fading like a ghost in the light.
?Was that real or not?? I whispered. ?No one can just fade like that. I don?t think I?ve fully recovered.? As I laid back down, I thought about what I had seen before, when I had finished working on TriceraZord and was talking with Ethan. ?Or maybe that was real.? I closed my eyes and before I knew it, I was sleeping again.

My problem was worst than what I thought: when we got to where Mesogog was, Gimlad was with him.
?Lord Gimlad!? I said. ?He?s the enemy!?
?They lie,? Mesogog said. ?They are the true enemies. Destroy the rangers.?
Gimlad turned to us. ?As you wish,? he said as he rose up a hand and shot a spell at us.
?Move!? Kira cried and we all dove out of the way.
?Be careful,? I warned. ?He?s strong in magic. He can easily take us down if we?re in Super Dino Mode.?
?But we also can?t hurt him,? added Ethan.
?Keep from harming him, but make sure he doesn?t hurt us,? Tommy said.
?But how do we get to Mesogog with Gimlad protecting him?? Trent said.
?There?s got to be another way!? Connor said.
?What, too scared to fight?? Gimlad mocked.
I heard someone come and I saw Citrus, Seren, Lauldine, Vosa, Amo, and Savo. They all worried about us, and Gimlad. ?That?s it,? I whispered. ?Family! That?s the key!? I turned to Gimlad. ?If you call us the enemies, then ask your family what we did for them.? I gestured a hand to where they stood. ?Ask Jenny Goldjewel?s friends what we did. We saved them from Tyrannodrones, what Mesogog controls!?
?Don?t listen to her,? Mesogog said. ?Destroy them!?
?You?re first, Gold,? Gimlad said as he pointed at me.
?You won?t hurt someone if they don?t fight,? I said. ?And I won?t fight.?
?Won?t and don?t are two different things,? Gimlad said. He shot a spell at me and I let it hit me.
I felt faint as I fell to a knee. I had never been struck by Gimlad?s spells, even when he had me train with him, so I had no clue just how powerful they were. I unmorphed as I fell to a side.
?Jenny,? the other elves whispered as I tried to get back up, but falling down again.

Gimlad didn?t have any realization as he walked to me. ?You still are a ranger, and the rangers are enemies to Monkzen,? he said as he grabbed my arm and forced me to my feet. ?Therefore, you must be destroyed.?
?Gimlad, listen to yourself!? Lauldine cried. ?You don?t even realize just how powerful that spell controlling you is! You can?t even realize that you just hurt your own daughter! Your only child!?
?He only listens to me now,? Mesogog said. ?Finish her off.?
Gimlad pushed me down and went to shoot a spell at me, but Trent got in front of me and let the spell hit him.
?Trent!? I exclaimed as he fell to the ground, also unmorphing. ?Trent, are you ok!?? I shook him, but he was unresponsive. ?Trent! Wake up! Please!?
?That?s two rangers down,? Gimlad said.
?No,? I said as I got to my feet, ignoring the pain that I felt. ?It?s not two rangers: you haven?t even taken us down. While you knocked Trent out, I?m still able to fight, and while my spells aren?t powerful enough to do any damage, you always taught me to use the spell that will get the job done.? I morphed. ? And while my deck is small, it still has one spell that will give me what I want.?
Gimlad drew his sword and charged at me before I could do the spell.
I drew my sabre and blocked the attack. ?So, this is what you?re going to do,? I said as I pushed him back. ?I can still fight, but I know to hold back.?
Gimlad tried to attack me, but I was being quick with the blocks and dodges.
When I had a free chance, I sent the spell at Gimlad, and it hit him.
Gimlad was still for a moment and then he collapsed.
?Uncle!? Citrus cried as they ran to Gimlad, forgetting about me for the time being.
I had forgotten about Mesogog until he attacked me, which made me unmorph. With a cry of pain, I fell to the ground, unable to get back up.
?You?ll pay for that, Jennifer Goldjewel,? Mesogog hissed as I slowly got to my side.
Tommy kicked him away from me as Kira made sure I was ok.
?I?m fine,? I said. ?But Trent isn?t. He needs to be taken to the infirmary.?
?You?re in no fit state to help him,? Kira said. ?You also need to be checked on, since you?ve just gotten two serious hits with hardly any gap between them.?
?You win this battle, rangers,? Mesogog said. ?But Monkzen will be mine. There are many battles in the war, and I will not accept defeat.? He disappeared.
?Jenny, is that you?? Vosa asked as Kira helped me up and supported me.
?It is,? I said.
?Why did you hide this from us?? Savo said.
?Yea, look at what it did to you,? Amo added.
?I would lose my powers,? I said. ?This isn?t like magic, where you can do, no matter what: this is a real war that?s going on, and we are the only defenders to protecting Earth. I had to come here because of what Mom told me, and I was scared that I wouldn?t see Dad again.?
?You need to get to the infirmary,? Citrus said as she took my other side. ?The others will bring Trent and Uncle Gimlad so that they can also be taken care of.?
I felt weak and dizzy for a moment. Before I could reply, I passed out.

Chapter 19 Family Trouble
Wherever we went, there were Tyrannodrones to defeat.
While they were taken down, the elves that we had saved wondered who we were, and I was always careful not to talk, since Amo, Vosa, and Savo were close to clueing me in, the others would be able to tell who I was.
I noticed something I had never seen on the elves? faces before: fear.
Once we were alone, I said, ?I have never seen the elves like this before.?
?You should know,? Kira said.
?But I still need to see Dad,? I said. ?If what Vosa said was true, then I?ve got to make sure he?s ok.?
?Then head there,? Tommy said.
I nodded. ?Meet me here in one hour,? I said. ?If I?m not here, then that means something bad happened to me that you should try to find me, but to be careful.?
The others nodded and I ran off to the infirmary, making sure to stay out of sight. When I reached the infirmary, I found Gimlad, but he was hurt, asleep as Lauldine was by his side, hoping that he was fine.
?Dad,? I whispered as I walked to where he was.
?He?s fine,? Lauldine told me. ?He just needs time to rest. He was talking about an hour ago, but he went back to sleep once he was assured that I was safe and not hurt.?
?Alright,? I said. ?I just had to make sure, because after we saved Vosa, Amo, and Savo from the Tyrannodrones, Vosa said that he was hurt.?
?He?ll be ok,? Lauldine said. ?He?s strong.?
?Only thing is I can?t let him know that this is me,? I said. ?Or else the whole deal will be up.? I heard something at the entrance to the room and I spun around, seeing Tyrannodrones. ?Oh not you guys again,? I said as I held up my bracelet. ?You?ve caused enough trouble for one day.? I quickly defeated the Tyrannodrones and turned back to Lauldine and Gimlad.
Lauldine was helping Gimlad to his feet, but something seemed different about him.
I walked up to him and bowed, which I knew people did if they weren?t family-related, and since I wasn?t supposed to let him know that I was his daughter, I had to do that.
Lauldine glanced at Gimlad as he shook his head and looked at me.
?How are you feeling, Lord Gimlad?? I asked. ?Those Tyrannodrones looked like they did a number on you.? I took note that his eyes changed colors, flashing from the usual green to a pale gray.
Gimlad shook his head again, trying to clear something.
I motioned for Lauldine to take a step back, which we both knew would be best.
As Lauldine stepped back, Gimlad looked at my uniform. ?We?re enemies,? he said.
That?s what I was waiting for. The Tyrannodrones put him under a type of spell so that it looked like the Dino Thunder Power Rangers were enemies.
?No, we?re not,? I said. ?Lord Gimlad, we aren?t enemies. We?re allies. I know Jenny Goldjewel, your daughter. We?re friends.?
?I don?t believe you,? Gimlad said. Even his voice sounded different, and Lauldine noticed it, as well.
?Gimlad,? whispered Lauldine.
?You don?t belong in Monkzen,? Gimlad said, not even hearing Lauldine.
?If you knew who I really was, you?d think differently,? I replied calmly. ?If I told you who I was, then you?d know that we really were allies. But I can?t do that. If I do that, then my powers are lost.?
?You should return to the others,? Lauldine said. ?I?ll try to talk to him about this.?
I backed out of the room, not trusting Gimlad in the state he?s in to ambush me when I turned my back, and then ran into the forest. I reached where we would meet up again, the others already there.
?Is he ok?? Kira asked as I appeared.
?No,? I said. ?It?s worst. He sees us as enemies. He?s put under one of Mesogog?s spells.?
?Not good,? Tommy said.
?Yea, who knows what he will do while under that spell?? added Connor.
?We?ve got to do something,? Ethan said.
?But what?? Trent asked.
They turned to me, but for once they saw me clueless. Shaking my head, I said, ?I don?t know. If I know the severity of the spell, I could try to counter it, but I?m not skilled enough in magic to try anything if it?s powerful. But knowing Dad, something has to be strong to turn him like this.? Suddenly, I fell to the ground, a huge headache forming.
?Jen!? the others cried as Kira caught me.
?Mesogog,? I said. ?He?s here! He?s attacking!?
?Then let?s go take him out!? Trent said.
We nodded and ran to where I had seen Mesogog.

Chapter 18 Returning to Monkzen
During the last few days before winter break, I couldn?t believe that Vespi, someone who had devoted his entire life to defending the Goldjewel family, was now evil.
Lauldine was also shocked, I know, but she didn?t show it, like she usually did.
Whenever I didn?t have anything to do, I talked to AlloZord, who helped me forget what was going on with Vespi.
?Jenny,? Kira said Friday night. She had found me talking with AlloZord, which the others knew I had a connection to. ?You need to pack. We?re leaving tomorrow morning to go to Monkzen.?
?I forgot,? I whispered. ?Man, time goes by fast.?
?We?ll be here when you get back,? AlloZord said as I slid down its back and jumped next to Kira.
I nodded and joined Kira as we walked home.
In the morning, we woke up before the sun was up, meeting the others at the Dino Lab, just like we had planned.
?Everyone here?? Connor asked as Trent came, the last one to make it.
We nodded.
?Alright, Jenny, Lauldine, lead the way,? Tommy said.
I put on my arrows and kept my bow loaded as we went through the forest, making sure to keep out of view of anyone who could be watching.
We had to make sure that the Tyrannodrones that were in the forest looking for us didn?t find us, and we even saw Zeltrax, Elsa, and Vespi.
Once we were out of Reefside, we could ease up, knowing that we were safe, for now.
Just to make it faster, Connor and I used our Dino Gems? speed powers and took the others quickly to where Monkzen was.
It was too quiet to be like Monkzen.
?Guys, I have a feeling that we should morph,? I said. ?Monkzen is never this quiet, especially since this is breakfast time.?
They nodded and we morphed.
?Just follow my lead,? Lauldine said. She walked out and we followed her.
There was no one in sight.
?Where is everyone?? Trent asked.
?It?s quiet,? Kira said.
?Too quiet,? I said. ?Monkzen has never been like this.? I looked around for anyone, but I that didn?t work.
?I?m going to check the infirmary,? Lauldine said. ?Jenny, you and the others check Main Monkzen.?
I nodded. ?But be careful, Mom,? I said.
?No need to tell me,? Lauldine said as she ran in the direction of the infirmary.
?Come on, guys,? I said. ?To Main Monkzen.?
We ran in that direction.
I saw Vosa, Amo, and Savo, friends of mine, as they tried to fight back as some Tyrannodrones attacked them. ?Not them,? I said. ?They?re friends. We need to help them.?
?Then let?s fight!? Connor said.
We jumped in and took out the Tyrannodrones.
?Who are you?? Vosa asked as Savo helped Amo up.
?We?re just here to help out,? Kira said.
?But for who?? Amo said.
?Yea, our side, or their side?? Savo added.
I wanted to tell them that it was me, but I knew that I couldn?t, no matter what. ?We?re on your side,? I said. ?Just trust us.?
?How?? Vosa said.
?Because we know Jenny Goldjewel,? Trent said.
?Jenny?? the three whispered.
?They?re on our side,? Savo said.
?Maybe the things can get chased out of Monkzen,? Amo said.
?What?s been going on?? Tommy said. ?We need to know.?
?Lady Lauldine was taken by those things and Lord Gimlad was injured while fighting them,? Vosa said.
?And then they just started coming,? Amo said.
?They?ve taken out all our best fighters,? Savo added.
?We?ll chase them out,? Ethan said.
?We?ll get rid of them,? I said.
?You sound familiar,? Savo said. ?Do we know you??
?No,? I said. ?You don?t know me, but I know you.?
?I sense something at Monkzen Youth,? Amo said.
?Leave this to us,? Connor said as we ran to Monkzen Youth, leaving them behind, wondering who we really were.

Chapter 17 An Old Friend
When practice was over, Connor and I joined the others while they were at the Dino Lab.
?Jenny, are you ok?? Lauldine asked me as she hugged me.
?I?m fine, Mom,? I said. ?But what about you? You were taken from Monkzen.?
?I?m fine,? Lauldine said. ?I wasn?t hurt during what happened.?
?How did they get you?? I asked.
?I was walking with Gimlad when they suddenly jumped out and attacked us,? Lauldine said. ?Well, we both know that your father would fight back, but it wasn?t enough to get me free, and they brought me here. Now, I?m here with you.?
?But you don?t know what happened to Dad?? I said.
Lauldine shook her head. ?There?s no way I can contact Monkzen,? she said. ?I only know that Gimlad was doing well in his fight. But, as you know, things change and that could?ve easily been overturned.?
?I don?t have a good feeling,? I said. I turned to the rangers. ?Guys, I need to get home to see Dad. If the Tyrannodrones were fighting him, then I think that I need to make sure everything is in order.?
Ethan, Connor, Kira, and Trent looked at Tommy for what to do next.
?Jen, can it wait for a few days?? Tommy asked. ?It?s going to be winter break soon, so then we?ll come with you just in case Mesogog is trying anything.?
?I?ll try,? I said. ?But no promises.?
?I?ll watch her,? Kira said.
The alarm went off and Tommy pressed a button on the computer. ?Here?s something to keep you preoccupied, Jen,? he said as Tyrannodrones and a new monster appeared. ?Lauldine, stay here.?
?Everyone ready?? Connor asked.
We nodded.
?Dino Thunder, Power Up!? we said.
?White Ranger, Dino Power!? Trent said.
?Tyranno!? Connor said.
?Tricera!? Ethan said.
?Ptera!? Kira said.
?Bracio!? Tommy said.
?Drago!? Trent said.
?Allo!? I said.
?And I thought that I had seen everything,? Kira said as we stopped in front of the monster and the Tyrannodrones, who were invading a shopping mall.
?A bunch of Tyrannodrones looking for clothes,? Ethan said.
?What, Elsa couldn?t come, herself?? Connor mocked.
?Rangers, I knew you?d come!? the monster said.
?We?re not here to play games!? Tommy said.
?This is between us and her,? the monster said, pointing at me. ?Mesogog didn?t like your message.?
?Too bad, then!? I said. ?Because I meant every word of it!?
The monster charged at us, along with the Tyrannodrones, but we easily took down the Tyrannodrones.
?What?s your name, anyways?? Trent said.
?Vespitor,? the monster replied.
?Vespitor,? I whispered. ?That name, it sounds familiar.?
?So, you recognize it,? Vespitor said. ?Maybe from one of the armies.?
?General Vespi!? I cried.
?Yes,? Vespi said. ?See what happened to me? Now I work for Mesogog.?
?There?s no way that attack could?ve done that to you!? I said. ?That couldn?t have turned you like that!?
?Last time you saw me, you thought that I was gone,? Vespi said. ?Mesogog restored my health and gave me this form. I lived to serve the Goldjewel family, but you deserted me. Twelve years ago, no one ever checked to see if I was fine. Now, I will take my revenge, starting with you, Jennifer Goldjewel.?
I took a step back. ?I would never do anything to hurt you,? I said. ?When I had seen you, you were unconscious, so I had no clue if you were alive or not. I felt that you were part of the family. I always stood up for you if Mom and Dad thought you did something that was out of place.?
?What you say doesn?t faze me,? Vespi said.
?Fine,? I said as I took out my sabre. ?Then I?ll make you remember what had happened.?
?Nothing can do that,? Vespi said.
I drew a circle in the air with my sabre. It started glowing as soon as I finished it. ?Remember the past,? I said as I sent it at Vespi.
Suddenly, Mesogog appeared and sent the attack back at me, causing me to get hit. ?Pathetic elf, do you really think that would work?? he asked as I got back to my feet. ?He now works for me.? He shot a ray at me and I fell back to the ground. ?And that was for the message. Vespitor, return to the lair to plan the next attack.? He and Vespi disappeared.
?Dang it,? I whispered as I got up. ?How am I supposed to fight a general??
?For now, let?s return to the Dino Lab,? Tommy said.

Chapter 16 Cassidy?s Plan
As we went inside the Dino Lab, Tommy suddenly said, ?Oh no! It?s time for school!?
?We?re late!? cried Trent.
?Oh no!? Kira exclaimed.
?Tommy, I?ve gotten your case,? Haley said as she handed it to Tommy. ?And I?ve collected your backpacks.? She gave it to us. ?I?ll make sure Lauldine is ok.?
?Thanks, Haley,? we said as we ran out of the lab and went back to school.
Just as the bell rang, we got into class and took out our stuff.
While the others were having to take a moment to breathe and catch their breath, I was fine, just like always, even if we ran a long distance in a short amount of time.
Tommy started class and we started learning about the Triassic time period and what dinosaurs were alive at that time.
The school day went by quickly with nothing until lunch, when Cassidy and Devin pulled me away from the others.
?Hey, what?s wrong?? I asked as the others watched me.
?I know who you are,? Cassidy said.
?What?? I replied, feeling my heart begin to race.
?You?re a ranger,? Cassidy said. ?Devin got some footage on his camera with the fight early this morning and it shows you as the gold ranger, and you said something about ?Monkzen? and ?elves?. What?s going on with you??
?Nothing,? I said. ?I don?t know what you?re talking about.?
?Oh, really?? Cassidy said. ?Devin, show her what you got.?
Devin got his camera out and showed me what he got. It showed the battle with Elsa, and it also showed me unmorphing. It also showed me saying my thing about being an elf and living in Monkzen.
?So, tell me what?s going on,? Cassidy said. ?Or else I?ll get this on the school?s newspaper and let everyone know what?s going on with the new girl who just so happens to be a master at soccer.?
?Are you threatening me?? I asked.
?I am,? Cassidy said. ?And I?ll also submit this to the news, where they will tell all of Reefside who you are.?
?Blackmailing,? I said. ?You?re resorting to that??
?If I need to get the job done,? Cassidy replied.
?Um, Cass,? Devin said.
?What, Devin?? Cassidy said.
?I need to see your video camera,? Tommy said.
?Dr. Oliver!? Cassidy said cheerfully as she turned to him, who had come behind her.
?Cassidy, are you bothering Jenny?? asked Tommy.
?No,? Cassidy said.
?Yes,? I countered, crossing my arms and glaring at her. ?If you see the video, you?d know why!?
?Hand it over,? Tommy said.
?But that?s the scoop of the century!? Cassidy protested.
?If it ruins another student?s life, then I can?t allow you to submit it anywhere,? Tommy said.
Devin gave Tommy the camera.
?I?m going to look at this later on,? Tommy said as he held it up. ?Until then, you will leave Jenny alone.?
?Yes, Dr. Oliver,? Cassidy said.
Tommy walked away and walked back to his classroom, me returning to the others before Cassidy could tell me anything else.
?What happened?? Kira asked.
?Devin got a video of what happened this morning and was threatening me that she was going to send it to the school newspaper and to the news station if I didn?t explain what I meant,? I said. ?But Tommy just took the camera and I?m sure he?s going to erase the video of what happened so that it seems like nothing ever happened.?
?Dr. Oliver will take care of it,? Kira said. ?I know it.?
?He always does,? Connor said.
?No matter what,? Ethan said.
?And that?s why we rely on him,? Trent said.
I nodded.
As the bell rang for lunch to end, we walked to our next hour.
While walking, I looked back at Cassidy and she didn?t look like she was impressed with how things had played out.

Chapter 15 Sticking Together
Lauldine was supposed to be in Monkzen, just like the rest of my family! How did she suddenly get here? Was she kidnapped? Or did she get worried with how long I was gone and came to look for me?
No, she didn?t have her arrows or her sword, something she always had when she was traveling, no matter what.
The sun slowly started to rise, the other rangers showing up, morphed.
?Help,? Lauldine was able to whisper before the Tyrannodrones knocked her to the ground.
?Leave her alone!? I said.
?Then give me your Dino Gem,? Elsa replied.
I looked down at where my bracelet was.
?We?re a team,? Connor said.
?We need to stick together!? Tommy said.
?But family also has to stick together,? I said. ?And right now, my mom is my main priority.?
Lauldine looked up at us and I could see something I had never seen before: hopelessness.
I had to turn away so that the others didn?t see my tear but I remembered that my helmet hid my face.
?Make up your mind, ranger,? Elsa said. ?Or else.?
I balled my hands into fists. ?No,? I whispered.
?What?? the others said.
?No!? I repeated, this time louder. ?You can?t use something like this to take me down! I won?t take it! You can?t take my family from Monkzen! Super Dino Mode!?
?You got Super Dino Mode!? Trent exclaimed.
?You can try to hurt me, but you won?t hurt my family!? I said as I charged at Elsa. I was able to knock her down, but that made her angry, and she was able to knock me back when she did several powerful attacks in a row, me unable to block them.
?No!? the others cried as I hit the wall and fell, unmorphing.
?Jenny?? Lauldine whispered, finally seeing who I was. ?But, how??
I tried to get up, but fell back to the ground, pain in my side.
?You didn?t give me the Dino Gem easily,? Elsa said as she walked to me and grabbed my wrist, forcing me to my feet. ?So, I?m just going to have to use force to take it!?
?Never!? I said as I kicked her back and got ready to fight. ?Well, are you guys going to help me or not??
?Go help your mom,? Connor said. ?We?ll take care of Elsa. Get her to the Dino Lab. Dr. O, you should go with them just in case there?s some kind of ambush.?
Tommy and I defeated the Tyrannodrones and I helped Lauldine as she collapsed. ?Mom, you?re ok,? I said as I got her to her feet.
?What are you doing here?? Lauldine said. ?You need to be finding help for us.?
?This is the only way I could get allies,? I said.
?Jenny, we?ve got to get to the Dino Lab,? Tommy said. ?It?s the only safe place.?
I nodded and the three of us began to run to the Dino Lab. While running, I heard someone following us.
Just as I was about to say something, Zeltrax jumped out and slashed Tommy.
?Tommy!? I cried as Tommy fell back.
?Keep going!? Tommy said. ?Get to the Dino Lab and stay there!?
I shook my head and kicked Zeltrax as he went to attack Tommy again, something that would?ve caused him to unmorph. ?Leave my friend alone,? I said as I got ready to fight. ?Dino Thunder, Power Up!?
?What are you doing!?? Tommy said. ?Get your mom to safety, now!?
?Tommy, in case you haven?t figured out by now, elves like the ones in Monkzen don?t leave a friend behind,? I said. ?We never leave a friend or family behind. You?re a friend. A close friend, in the time we?ve been together. And I can?t let you be taken down just because you told me to continue ahead. Monkzen elves aren?t like that. Not even close. So, you either have to deal with the fact that I?m going to help you, or else go on ahead to the Dino Lab with Mom.?
Tommy got up. ?I?ve got to help you,? he said. ?Zeltrax is our main target right now.?
?You won?t take me down, Tommy Oliver,? Zeltrax said.
?You never said anything about me,? I said as I shot a laser at him.
?And you, too, Jennifer Goldjewel,? Zeltrax added as he charged at us.
?I hate it when people call me that!? I exclaimed as I took out my sabre and slashed Zeltrax.
?You don?t want to get her mad,? Lauldine said, who was standing back from the fight. ?When she?s mad and she?s in battle, nothing can take her down.?
?I?m already mad!? I said. ?They took you from Monkzen and then try to use you against me! How can I not be mad!??
?You asked for it,? Lauldine whispered. ?You might as well flee.?
Instead of taking Lauldine?s advice, Zeltrax charged at us, but I easily took him down, stopping before defeating him. ?Tell Mesogog I have a message for him,? I said. ?I won?t be taken down, and he won?t get my Dino Gem as long as I live. Jenny Goldjewel may be an elf and not from here, but I know how to fight, ranger powers or not ranger powers.?
Zeltrax disappeared as the others joined us.
?What happened?? Kira asked.
?Zeltrax,? Tommy replied. ?But he was taken down easily by Jenny.?
?Don?t get me mad,? I growled.

Chapter 14 Time With AlloZord
That night, I had a hard time sleeping. I don?t know why, but I just couldn?t get to sleep. After tossing and turning well past three, I gave in and got up, writing a note to Kira that I was fine and that I would see her later on, meeting at the Cybercafé for some lunch.
I put the note on Kira?s guitar, which I knew she always got in the morning after checking to see if I was up or not, and put on some different clothes. Walking outside, I decided what to do. No one was awake, so I couldn?t talk to anyone or practice soccer with anyone, and I couldn?t just walk around, since people may get suspicious.
Finally, I went to the Dino Lab, where Haley was surprisingly awake and searching some stuff.
?Haley?? I asked as she turned to me. ?What are you doing up this late??
?I couldn?t sleep, so I decided to some search for Dino Eggs,? Haley replied. She typed some stuff in. ?What about you? This is early, even for elves.?
?Can?t sleep,? I said. ?I don?t know why.?
?Do you think you could check on the three main zords?? Haley asked. ?They?ve received damage from the attack, but it?s nothing major. I?ve been meaning to, but I just have a feeling I?m close to something.?
?Sure,? I said as I went to where the zords were. I checked the zords for any damages and fixed them if there was any.
Just because they were beginning to show some signs or age-related repairs, I also did some work on AlloZord, CephalaZord, DimetroZord, ParasaurZord, AnkyloZord, DragoZord, StegaZord, and Mezodon Rover.
After that, AlloZord let me climb to its head and look at the view of the other things.
I felt a connection with AlloZord, something I didn?t feel before, even with my family, but I guessed that was because my DNA was mixed with the AlloZord DNA.
Without really thinking, I said, ?Allo, what do you think will happen??
?To?? replied a voice in my head.
Startled, I fell back and started to fall, but AlloZord caught me.
?Who?s that?? I called.
?Jenny, it?s me,? the voice said.
?Who?? I asked. ?Where??
?Look up,? the voice said.
I looked up and saw AlloZord staring down at me. ?Allo, was that you?? I said.
?Yes,? AlloZord replied.
?But, how can you talk?? I said.

?Good,? AlloZord said. ?And just to let you know, the other zords contact who they are paired with, but the hatched Dino Eggs, that go to whoever they want, not really connecting to an individual, but talking to who they want when they want, as long as they aren?t in battle.?
?Can you guys talk to Haley?? I said.
?No,? AlloZord said. ?She?s not a ranger, like you guys.?
?It?s only rangers,? the CephalaZord, DimetroZord, ParasaurZord, and AnkyloZord said.
?Ok, that?s fine, I guess,? I said. ?But what do you guys do here when we don?t need you??
?We wait for you to call us,? DimetroZord said.
?Jenny!? Haley called. ?You?d better come look at this! Quickly!?
?That doesn?t sound good,? I said as I slid down AlloZord?s back and ran to Haley. ?What?s wrong??
?Mesogog,? Haley said. ?Tyrannodrones are out wrecking damage, but they aren?t alone. Elsa is with them.?
?Alright,? I said. ?I?m heading out.?
?Be careful,? Haley said. ?You can?t see at night and they can.?
?I?m really good at seeing in the dark,? I replied. ?Dino Thunder, Power Up! Allo! Call the others and tell them what?s going on. I?ll try to hold them off until then.?
?I?m doing that right now,? Haley said.
?Be careful,? the zords said as I ran out.
?I will,? I said as I ran into the forest and found my way to where they were.
Even though there were no lights on at all when I got to the school, I could still see Elsa and the Tyrannodrones easily. ?You know, trying an attack this way won?t get you any beauty sleep, Elsa,? I said as I stopped in front of them. ?After all, isn?t that important to you??
?Attack!? was Elsa?s only reply and the Tyrannodrones charged at me.
I easily took them down and faced Elsa. ?Is that all you?ve got?? I asked. ?That was nothing!?
?Just wait and see,? Elsa replied as she drew her sword and attacked me.
I blocked her attack. ?So, this is going to turn into a cat fight, right?? I said. ?But just to let you know, we elves are excellent at fighting like this.?
?Do you really want to do that when there?s a family member?s life at stake?? asked Elsa.
?What?? I said. ?No, they?re all in Monkzen! They can?t be captured!?
?Then try again,? Elsa said as she snapped her fingers and two Tyrannodrones pulled out Lauldine.
?Mom,? I whispered.

Chapter 13 Comic Book Life
The next day, Trent was working with Carson and the rest of us were helping Connor brush up on his soccer skills.
While we played against him, everything around us suddenly turned white.
?What the?? Ethan said.
?Why did the color suddenly disappear?? Kira asked.
I looked around. ?This is a comic book,? I said.
?You sure?? Tommy asked.
?Yes, I?m sure,? I said. ?After all, I was just reading one yesterday.?
?Come on, let?s walk and try to find a way out of this,? Connor said and we began walking.
Suddenly, we passed through this wall and we got comic-like characteristics.
?This is strange,? Ethan said.
?You rangers are in my world now!? said a monster as she jumped out at us. ?I?m Fridgia, and you?re gone!? She fired some arrows at us, causing us to fall back.
?Ok, I?m not sure about you guys, but I?m not going to take this from her,? Connor said as we got up. ?Ready??
?Dino Thunder, Power Up!? we said as we morphed into rangers. We charged at Fridgia and attacked her, but she threw all of us back.
?Where?s Trent when you need him?? Connor said.
?He?s supposed to be helping Carson out with his new comic,? I said.
?Trent, we need you!? Tommy said.
Suddenly, Trent came. ?Did someone need me?? he asked. ?Sorry about this. Carson got this weird pen and wrote a comic book about us. I changed the ending and added me in it so that I could help you guys. So right now, just follow my lead.?
?Go ahead,? Kira said.
?Super Dino Mode!? they said, me not having Super Dino mode yet.
?Put it all together,? Trent said as he took out his feather-sword.
?Z-Rex Blaster,? we said. ?Fire!?
We struck Fridgia and we suddenly turned back to our normal selves.
?We still have a problem,? Tommy said as Fridgia appeared in front of us.
?We can still win,? I said. ?After all, that?s what our job is, right??
?Right,? the others said.
?Triassic Time,? Connor said as his morpher turned into the Triassic morpher. He morphed and took out Fridgia.
?Time for zords,? Trent said as Fridgia grew big.
?Bracio!? Tommy said.
As Bracio came, it was suddenly attacked.
?Oh no!? cried Connor.
?The zords!? Ethan exclaimed.
?No!? Kira said.
?Bracio!? Tommy said.
?Not good!? Trent said.
?We?ve got to help it!? I said. ?At least I will!? I ran forward, away from the others as they tried to stop me, and I jumped onto BracioZord. I climbed as high as I would let myself and then looked at the sky, trying to find what was attacking BracioZord. ?Ptera, go,? I said as I saw nothing.
PteraZord flew out of its holding place and flew to Fridgia, Kira joining it.
?TyrannoZord, all clear,? I added.
TyrannoZord did the same thing, Connor joining Kira as she took on the monster.
There was suddenly an attack and I fired a laser at where it was coming from, several Tyrannodrones falling to the ground. ?Tommy, get them!? I called as they started to run.
?On it!? Tommy replied.
?TriceraZord, DragoZord, go,? I said.
Both the zords went and Ethan joined his zord, the three making the megazord.
?StegaZord, go,? I said.
StegaZord left and it and the DragoZord formed the Dino StegaZord, Trent controlling it.
?That only leaves you and me, Allo,? I said. ?Come on out. Sorry to keep you waiting: the others needed the help, first. No hard feelings??
AlloZord came out and form the megazord, me getting inside it. ?Good,? I said. ?Now, let?s help the others.?
AlloZord and I joined the others as they battle Fridgia, and we eventually defeated her.
As the zords went back to BracioZord and returned to the Dino Lab, Tommy joined us, the Tyrannodrones defeated.
?I think this needs to be destroyed,? Trent said as he picked up the pen that Carson had used. He threw it in the air and cut it with his sword, both sides dropping to the ground and disappearing.
?Well, now that we?ve got that taken care of, I think we should take a break and relax,? Tommy said. ?What do you guys think??
We nodded and went home.

Chapter 12 No Fear is Bad
When I returned to the Cybercafé, there were already tons of people. ?Oh no, how am I going to find Trent in all this?? I whispered as I pushed inside and looked around.
?Jen!? Trent called, who was close to the table.
I made my way through the crowd and reached Trent. ?Mission complete,? I said.
?Good,? Trent said.
?Remind me, who is this again?? I asked.
?Carson Daily,? Trent said. ?You?re like Jeplena, an elf girl that?s popular in his new comic.?
I looked at my dress. ?Wow, and this is like her?? I said.
Trent nodded.
?Next,? Carson called.
?That?s us,? Trent said as we walked up.
?Hey, you?re a natural at Jeplena,? Carson said as he looked at me. ?If I didn?t know any better, I?d say that you were Jeplena, herself.?
?Thank you,? I said. ?It really means a lot, especially coming from someone like yourself.?
?You know, I?m a drawer, myself,? Trent said.
?Really?? Carson said. ?I?d love to see you work. What?s your name??
?Trent,? Trent replied.
?I?m working on a new comic right now,? Carson said. ?How would you like to help me with it??
?I would, but my dad doesn?t really think that it?s appropriate,? Trent said.
?If you like what you do then maybe he?ll see things your way,? Carson said.
?I doubt it,? Trent replied. ?But I would love to work with you on something.?
Trent and I went back from the table and left the café.
?So, how did you like it?? Trent asked.
?Well, I?ve finally found a place around here that I can act like myself,? I said. ?Do you think you could let me borrow the comic book about Jeplena so that I can really understand what they were talking about??
?Sure,? Trent said. ?I?ll give it to you at school on Monday.?
Once Trent and I got to Kira?s house, I felt that I could understand him better, just like he could understand me.
?So, how was it?? Kira asked as I walked into the house, looking up at me from her guitar.
?Well, I can understand Trent more than before,? I replied as I sat down. ?And I?ve found a place where I can finally act like myself, like how I would act in Monkzen.?
?Good,? Kira said. She played a few more notes and then shook her head.
?Problem?? I asked.
?What?? Kira said. ?Oh, no, I?m just thinking about the battle today.?
?Did you get hit by that ray?? I said.
Kira nodded and she turned her head away from me. ?I can?t face the fact that I can never get over my fear,? she whispered. ?It?s my only fear, but I?m terrified by it.?
?No fear is bad,? I said. ?Everyone has something that they?re scared of, something that they will never face the fact about. Even for mighty warriors like elves. I?ll tell you my fear if you tell me yours.?
?No laughing?? Kira said.
?No laughing,? I promised.
?Clowns,? Kira said. ?I don?t know how I?m a Power Ranger, but I have a fear of something like that.?
?Well, they are a bit creepy,? I said. ?Alright, my turn. Well, when I was hit by that ray, I was transported back to a time when I was younger, four, five, maybe, and that was when Monkzen was first attacked, at least after I was born. I was running to find Mom and Dad, but I was attacked, and I was taken down, unable to fight. I realized what my fear was all those years ago: being unable to fight. That?s why I?ve given myself such a disciplined life, so that I wouldn?t have to worry about not being able to fight again.?
?But you will continue to fight,? Kira said. ?We will continue to fight. Even if we lose our powers, we will still fight back. Mesogog won?t take us down, rangers, or no rangers.?
?I know that now,? I said. ?But what about when I go back to Monkzen, when I don?t have the ranger powers with me??
?Then you?ll still fight back, but with swords and arrows,? Kira said. ?Come here, I?ve got something I want to show you that I?ve set up out back.? She took my hand and led me to the backyard, where there was some stuff for archery. ?Now you can continue being an archer. And there?s enough space so that you can also work with a sword.?
?Thanks, Kira,? I said. ?It means a lot now that I can continue practicing and sharpening up on my abilities that I have gotten from Monkzen.?
?What are friends for?? Kira replied and she went back inside.
