"Oof!" I landed on the ground with a thump. The trees around me started rattling when I did that, so I looked around, expecting to see bats startled out of the trees or something.
I saw Santa.
"Ohmigosh. Omigoshomigoshomigosh. They have secret alien technology! They're ALIENS FROM OUTER SPACE!!!!!!" That was the only way that the well-known alien, Santa Claus, could have gotten into Lyla's summer camp. But, honestly... Delphi Strawberry Service is such a lame name. It implies actual work. Which Lyla never did, judging from her perfect manicures, pedicures, and outfits she always came back with. Not to mention a golden tan.
"Okay... Out... Of... Breath... And.. Bored... Circles. Are. Not. Good. For me." I said, panting. "Tree? Tree? Shrub? Giant shrub? ... Yes." I dived inside of a giant shrub, one that would completely conceal me from the aliens and hopefully make me able to gather insider information. The leaves rattled.
The UFO landed.
Out stepped a bunch of girls in varying clothes, all with a weird silver tint. I think it must have been the lighting. From the drivers seat stepped... Not Santa Claus? If not Santa.... It must be Artemis!
Oh. My. Gods. I cannot believe this is really happening to me. I must be a genuine half-blood.
"Hello! Who are you?" I asked chipperly, startling a few of the girls. Including a pretty scary one that seemed like she would make an awesome friend. (I have amazing logic... And common sense... And sanity... Actually, the antonyms. OPPOSITE DAY!)
"Um... Are you a camper?" The scary girl asked me.
"Nope! I just broke in to steal their stuff. And I still haven't gotten the chance."
"Well, girly, if you broke in... You must be a half-blood. So, who's your parent?"
"Well... My mom is Julia Fisher, and my dad is George Fisher. Which one did you want to know?"
"Um... Well, maybe you aren't a half-blood, but you did pass through the barrier. What is your name, maiden?"
"My name is Alanna Grace Fisher. But I don't like my whole name, most people don't, so just call me Alanna. Hey, what is yours?" She had auburn hair, silvery eyes like the blond I had seen earlier, but more metallic, and a feel of immense power to her.
"I am Artemis."
I let out a gasp, fell to my knees, and sent her companions into fits of giggles, as well as her.
"I am so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, sorry that I did not recognize you. So very, very sorry." I was now practically kissing the ground at her feet. Now I really was, and gosh... It tasted awful. Like gross stables, mixed with air pollution, mixed with brine, all rolled into one dropping. Blech.
"Well, then. You certainly seem worthy to join the Hunt. Have you ever falled in love, had any crushes, et cetera?" I shook my head. "No? Well then, do you want to join the Hunt?" I nodded very emphasically. "Thalia, would you lead the pledge?"
"Yes, I will, Artemis," she said, nodding in Artemis's direction. Now she turned her piercing blue gaze upon me.
"Repeat after me. I pledge myself to the goddess Artemis."
"I pledge myself to the goddess Artemis." I could barely speak without shrieking from joy.
"I turn my back on the company of me-"
"I turn my back on the company of men, accept eternal maidenhood, and join the Hunt." I bit my lip, hoping it wasn't too obvious how excited I was. Artemis had been my role model my whole life. Now the time had come when researching everything and anything to do with the Hunters might have hindered my chances of success.
This is around when we seemed to think that having WAAAAY too many parts was a really good idea, right?
Yeah, readers... Be warned. It shall soon approach.
As shall my chapter. I just have to go turn on my computer and post from it instead... And then remember to do so after turning on said slow slug.

Chapter 5: Part 2
"Ok, I'm going to start the stimulation now!" called Ms. Kayla. "Go!" I squared my shoulders back, took a deep breath, and walked confidently through the door. I had done this so many times, but this time I was excited to test out what my new power could do.
Instantly I was surrounded by a icy wasteland. Typical. "Elementix! Alicia, Fairy of the Sky!" I yelled,. My jeans and tank top melted away into a ruffled indigo top with white swirls and a matching skirt, with sky blue leggings under and vanilla boots. Huge, sparkly, wings formed behind me, with swirls blended of different shades of blue and white. My hair wrapped itself into a long, wavy high ponytail and I couldn't help but admired myself for a little while. This was only the second time I had used my Elementix transformation, having earned it a week ago.
I quickly remembered what I was doing and soared into the air, my new wings taking me faster and higher than my Believix ones.
A stimulation of an ice dragon flew at me and I quickly chanted, "Binding Cloudstream!" Aa long, white chain snaked out of my hands and circled the dragon. "Now, use your special Elementix powers, Alicia!" called Ms. Kayla's voice, magically magnified.
"OK!" I shouted back.
"ELEMENTIX UNLEASHMENT!" I yelled, and a bunch of little vials swirl out of me. The dragon started to break free.
"Okay?oh! I CALL UPON THE ELEMENT OF FIRE!!" A red bottle flew into my hand to me and the rest disappear. As the dragon shakes away the last of my rope and roars, swooping at me, I opened the bottle and point it at the dragon, and a waves of white-hot flames pour out and defeat the dragon, who shatters.
When I come out of the stimulation room, I detransform and Ms. Kayla says, "Nice job! Your Elementix powers are pretty strong. Now, I have a mission for you." I listened up.
"There's a Charmix fairy called Sabrina heading to Earth on a mission to New York. You know where she's going. Tail her, and don't reveal yourself unless there's real trouble. She won't like knowing I sent someone to watch over her on her first solo mission. And, leave immediately."
Ms. Kayla's right. I know where she's going. Manhattan. The place where I went on my quest. But that was such a long time ago. I formed a portal and stepped out by a deserted strawberry farm which says Delphi Strawberry Service. But that's weird. I could feel a foreign magic coming from the supposedly deserted strawberry fields. I tiptoed closer and peered at the dusty farm.
Oh. My. Gosh. I abandoned this for so long, nobody will probably bother to read anymore, but we're back in business (I think.....)! Turns out, I was going all over trying to redo my chapters and then I found out that my mom had copied everything from our old computer into a file on her laptop O.O Well, here's the new (technically, old, but reposted) chapter! Enjoy!
Chapter 5: Part 1
We all gathered around the campfire, which was enchanted to reflect the camper's moods. The usual victorious post-Capture-the-Flag, twenty-foot high, roaring, white-hot, flames was gone. Instead, the flames were a dim sickly-purple color and the few people who had tried to toast their marshmallows gave up rather quickly. Chiron muttered something about "needing a break" and cantered away, leaving Annabeth and Percy to take charge, which they did.
"Well, I had a search party hunt for the girl." Annabeth sighed, running a hand through her tangled blond hair. "She ran off into the woods, and didn't seem to be aware of what was actually in the woods, because she didn't stop. We had to come back after it got dark. I don't know if she'll be able to fend for herself until morning. Maybe the monsters won't smell her." A long, grim silence followed this, and a few unspoken words hung in the air. Or maybe she'll be eaten.
I wasn't listening very well, which was surprising. I knew what was bothering me and I decided to go talk to the person I knew (or hoped) could help me. Spotting the familiar red-haired ponytail, I quickly darted over.
"Rachel," I hissed quietly, "Can we talk in private?" She nodded and led me away from the crowd. "What's this about?" she asked.
"Well," I began, "It's about the girl. Do you know her?"
Rachel's face darkened. "How do you know?"
"You were gaping at her."
Rachel hesitated. "Yeah, I think I know her from before I went to Clarion. I'm not sure." Her voice sounded like she was trying to convince herself, but it didn't seem to work very well.
"It might be important," I pressed. "I mean, you were more than just a human. What if she is too?"
"I don't think she is, Jennifer," Rachel said firmly. I took a look at her eyes and decided it was best not to keep asking about this girl.
As we finished talking, we heard a wolf howl in the distance, and a falcon. I immediately jerked my head in the direction of the sound. We didn't keep falcons in the camp. "What's--" I never got to ask. Piper, Percy, Annabeth, Clarisse, and all the other senior campers stood up. "Percy!" Annabeth shouted. "Check the woods!" Percy, Annabeth, and Piper disappeared into the trees.
Yes! See, I was right! Mwahahaha! *does the victory dance*
No, I'm just joking. No victory dance or bragging. Go ahead, feel free to rewrite the chapters. Also, I may have to redo mine...cause it was pretty bad. So yeah.
Just as a thought...does anyone on here even read the fanfics anymore? Just saying...
