Ever since I was little, I hated every minute of my life. My parents are passed away and I have to live with my uncle. But he didn't help me one bit. Instead, he has sent me to a private all girls, boarding school, and left me there for two rotten years.
One day, I was just outside the school courtyard, sitting right under the cherry blossom tree. It was no difference to me. People won't bother to play with me , or talk to me. All the girls at school ever want to talk about was the different legends , they heard from the past, about the Night Shadow Ninjas. I groaned every time I heard them talk about it. Give me a break. Mika, the meanest girl at school, is blabbering as always, "I heard that theres a rumor that the last Night Shadow Ninja passes down NSN(night shadow ninja) job to the very next person that is worthy to be it." I groaned. Here we go again. " But it's definitely not Hataru, she's nothing like a NSN." I glared up. Who said that? TBC
Mikey gave me an upset and sad look. "Why, is something bothering you?", he asked. I felt bad for leaving him, but what if Mika is using my friends against me? I replied," I just wanna go train. Alone. Is that okay with you?" Mikey's eyes showed disapointment, but he nodded. I gave him a tiny smile and walked pass him. "But don't worry, Mikey. It doesn't have to do with you." "Okay," mumbled Mikey. He walked off. I looked back at him and sighed. Then, I went into the training room.
Ditching them was for their own good, but why do I feel guilty? "Hmm, that hurt look on your face tells me that you are very upset. Which I like. Are you tired of being around the green aliens and werewolf,"said that familiar, mean-sounding voice. I whipped my head around to find Mika, standing there with an evil grin on her face. "First of all, you got your facts wrong: those "green aliens" are mutant turtles, Kit, Alex, Sky, Moon, and Mai are not too girly and Moonblaze isn't a werewolf; she's a mutant cat! Second, how did you even get in the lair?", I said, firmly. Mika laughed,"Kraang technology. It's so creepy, but still cool. Too bad none of them I could use against you,"she gave me a sly smile, I'll make you even more miserable." I shook my head, "No, leave my friends out of this." "Why should I? You never appreciated your other friends, back in Japan." "I never had friends in Japan." Mika glared at me,"So I was right," she muttered. Then, she told me,"I won't leave your friends out of our little rivalry. I'll strike one day." Mika took out her Kraang thingy, and pressed a button,"You go enjoy your friends." Just like that, Mika disappeared. I couldn't believe what I had heard. How could she use my friends like that? What does she want with me...and what did she mean by our little rivalry? There is no way I'm going to let Mika do this to me. This time,I'll fight with my friends and protect the world. Also protect them. I will not let Mika destroy my friends.

Just finished the next chapter.
"Sensei, is Taru okay?", I heard Mikey say. I leaned onto my door, and listened for Sensei's responce."She is fine, Michelangelo. Hataru just needs some time off.", was what Splinter replied. "Oh...", Mikey sounded upset for some reasoon. I stopped listening through my door and plopped onto my bed. Falling into a deep snooze, I held back tears so I won't scream or cry during my nightmares. But either way, my voice breaks through me, and a shriek of sorrow blasts out of me. My nightmare is going to take over my sweet dreams:
*"How far till we reach home?", asked my blind sister, Tellana. "We're almost there..."I began but stopped. I letted go of Tellana's hand, but she didn't notice. And I didn't care because in a store window was a grey dress with black sequins all over the skirt. I loved how the grey pearl necklacetops it off! BEEP! Turning back to Tellana, I gasped for the sight that I'm seeing. Tellana was in the middle of the street and a van was hurtling right at her! "TELLANA, WATCH OUT!" I screamed. Tellana heard me and she tried to make it acrossthe street, but instead, she crashed into a truck! "Nooo!", I shrieked, running to the street. All the cars stopped, so I can make way to my big sister. As I approached her, I could see that she was breathing heavily.Oh no! "Someone, please help me!", I cried, "Anybody, please..."*
I forced myself to wake up, trying desperately to open my eyes. The trick was for me to fall off the bed. Once I was up, I quickly got dressed and peeked out my door. But for some what reason, my door seemed jammmed from outside! Opening it, a small crack, I looked out, only to see Mikey, leaning(and sleeping) right on my door. Groaning, I yelled," Mikey, can you gat off my door?" Mikey kept on snoring. "MIKEY, WAKE UP!!!!!" SNORE! I frowned at him. "Mikey, I'll give you pizza if you wake up and LET ME OUT OF MY OWN ROOM!"I yelled. Mikey springed to life, and said,"Did someone say pizza?" I gave him a puzzled look, then told him, gently,"Mikey, I know you want to hang out with me, but I can't..."

I ran back to the lair and into the training room. Tears streamed down my face as I darted under the tree. I fell to my knees, burying my head in my hands. Angry and upset, I also threw off my NSN pendent. That strange feeling crept into my body again, but I didn't care. There was no way I'm putting my friends in danger. If Mika wants to ruin my life, then she must go after me; no one else. I'll have to avoid everyone here, except Splinter. He might have advice to help me with this crisis. I'll ask him later, not now. I need some alone time. "Hataru, what are you doing here? And where is everyone else?" I looked up to see Master Splinter, looking down at me. Really?! Just when I need some alone time, someone drops in. My life is so weird. "They're fending off the Kraang, and I can't help them.", I replied, coldly. "But why are you not helping them? Tell me what's going on.", Splinter demanded. I took a deep breath and told him about how the Kraang are experimenting on the mean girl from my boarding school, but they didn't seem to do anything to her, yet. I also explained that she plans to make my life miserable and I have a feeling that it might involve my friends. "So I decided to avoid them, unless I know it's safe.", I finished. I waited for Splinter to give me advice or tell me that I might be making the wrong decission, but it never came. All he said was,"If you believe that is the right choice, then I'll allow it." I gaped at him. "T-that's it? You're not gonna give me advice or tell me that I might be making a bad choice?", I stuttered."Of course not. The Night Shadow Ninja makes their own sacrafices to protect people. And because you are that ninja, it is your choice. So I'll allow it.", he told me. I looked down at my shoes. Geez, through all this trauma, I almost forgot I was the NSN. "Okay, Sensei. I'm going with my choice. Hopefully, they'll all understand.", I said. "I'm sure they will.", Master Splinter replied. I walked to the other side of the room and picked up my pendent. Then, I declared,"I'm going to bed." So I got out of the room.

At first, Mika looked shocked. Then, she scowled. Her outfit was like a rebel teen with black, but mostly red. Her MP3 player was hanging on her belt with the ear buds in her ears. "Hataru, what's an unperfect girl, like you, doing in such a city?", she taunted. My face was getting hot, and I knew that I was angry. How could she say such a thing? "Oh yeah? Well, at least I have friends who care about me.", I replied. Mika laughed,"You're telling me that those girls, as well as four turtles and a wolf are your friends?", I heard Mika say to herself,"Well, I know why." I gritted my teeth, then I charged for her. Mika held out her guitar, and strummed a super loud high A. I had to cover my ears, just for being so close to her. "Hey, has anyone ever taught you how to play?" I turned around to see Mikey coming my way. But to me, he seems to be coming in slow motion. Mika smirked, then gave me a sharp look, "You know, this wasn't part of my plans, but since you're here, I'll give you payback.Little did you know, but I'm glad that your family is gone. I love seeing you live, lonely. And now, you're nothing. But it's not good enough for me. You still owe me, back." I stared at her. For what? Before I could ask her, Mika strummed a C, then she disappeared. I looked around, but Mika was no where in sight. When Mikey finally reached me, he asked where she went. I shrugged. Kit stared at my direction and asked," Was that Mika?" I didn't reply. I still thought of what Mika said. Was she going to do something terrible to me? To my friends? If only Tellana were here. "Taru, is something wrong?", Leo asked. I turned to look at everyone. "I'm fine, but I have to go back to the lair.", I started to run off. "Hataru, wait!", Mikey cried. But I didn't wait. I kept on running. If I stayed here, I might cause trouble to everyone. The best thing for me to do is stay out of their way.

THUMP! If you're wondering what that noise was, that was me, hitting the wall! "Yeah, this is gonna take a long time."Mai sighed. I got up. Looks like there's another bruise on my neck. Just great. "Okay, can we work on my balance training, without having to do flips and staying steady on my hand?", I pleaded. Moon and Mai gave me an"Oh come on" look, which I knew meant that I have to do it this way. I groaned,"Fine" We trained for what seemed like forever, until I started to not crash into anything or fall down. Soon, I have to train with Splinter. He seemed impressed that I have already improved with balance. He came up to me."Hataru, how did you learn how to keep your balance, so quickly?", he asked. I smiled and pulled Mikey over to me. "It was all thanks to Mikey, Mai, and Moon.", I said, proudly. Master Splinter looked at Mikey. "Is it true, Micheangelo? You helped Hataru out.", he asked. Mikey nodded. Splinter gave him a funny look, then he said,"Training is done for, today. You may go." Mikey pulled me off. Man, he really loves hanging out with me. Leo rushed up to us."Donnie said there was a Kraang spotting , down town.", he told us. "Kraang?", I reapeated. I've been here for like a week now, and I thought I knew everything, but this is something new. "Yeah, they're alien robots that look like brain thingies.", Mikey explained. I really wish this was all a joke, but I knew he was telling the truth. Ever since I first saw them in action, me and Kit saw the Kraang. It was pretty creepy. "So, do you know what they're doing?", I said. "They were coming out of an airport with a girl with them. I think they're going to experiment with her or something.", Leo replied. "Well, let's go help her!", Mikey shouted. The turtles, Moon, Mai, Sky, Alex, Kit, and I all rushed up to the surface.
"I think it's that plane.", Leo pointed at a plane, far from the airport. The door opened, and Kraangdroids came out with mutagen. Just a few feet away, I could see two Kraangdroids, carrying a girl. I couldn't see the girls face clearly, but I could see that she is angry. "You better not spread ooze on me or you'll feel my wrath!", she shouted. Why do I have a feeling I know her. "Come on. Let's go bash some bots!", Raph exclaimed. We started to attack the Kraang, but in the corner of my eye, I could see the Kraang, carrying the girl, trying to get away. But I wouldn't let. Before I could even help the girl, the strangest thing happened. A guitar appeared in her hands! She playyed loud B flat, making the Kraang, as in the brain thingies, scamper away. I stopped dead in my tracks. The little tune the girl was playing was making me go deaf. I looked at everyine else. They were all covering their ears. I turned back to the girl. She stopped playing when she saw my face. I stared back at her. "MIKA, WHAT ARE YOU, DOING HERE??????!!!!!!!", I screamed.

I don't know how long Mikey was dragging me around the sewers, just to get back to the lair, but I think he just wants some extra time with me. As we, finally, reached the lair, I saw two girls, sitting on the couch. One was like a mutant cat, and the other girl was just a normal teen. I stared at them. "So you're Hataru? Mikey kept talking about you on the phone," the cat girl held out her hand,"I'm Moonblaze, but you can call me Moon. Usually, Mikey calls me Blaze." I gave her a genuine smile, then the other girl stepped up to me. "And I'm Mai.", she said. "Nice to meet you guys," I said, politely. "Mikey called, telling us that you were having a bit struggle with keeping balance, while fighting, so he told us to come help you. He cares about-OWWW!", Moon rubbed her arm, and glared at Mikey. His face turned red. I didn't need to listen to the rest of what she was going to say. I already knew what it was. "Really?",I heard Mai hiss at Mikey,"You like her, but you won't admit it? I could see how come you like her. Pretty nice looking for a goth." I ignored the last part of what she said. I gotta stop dressing in black, but somehow I like it. A good blend as a NSN. "Okay, so do you want to start now?", Moon asked me. "Start what?", I was confused. Mai rolled her eyes,"Duh, your balance training. We better start soon or you're going to end up with a bunch of bruises next time, during your training." Oh yeah, I forgot. I followed Moon and Mai to the training room, while Mikey waved at me, mouthing the word 'good luck'. But I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna be lucky. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'll crack my head, open!
