CHAPTER 1:
I was at the library, watching TMNT on a computer, when someone tapped me on my shoulder and asked, "Are those the ones called the turtles?" I had my earbuds in and I was focused on the screen, so I answered, "Yeah, they're the best." After 5 minutes, I started to feel uncomfortable, like I was being watched, so I paused the video, took out my earbuds, and turned around and was shocked at who, or rather, 'what' I saw.
It was a KRAANGDROID! I thought, 'What the heck is going on?" "Play the video that shows the image of the ones called the turtles, so Kraang can observe the ones called--" "You know, pal," I said, "You really need to work on your English, cause you are giving me a headache." I got into a stance, and punched it in the stomach, cause I bet that it was their weak spot, and it worked! Sorta. I think I only made it mad, cause in, like, 2 seconds, it pulled out a ray gun! "The one that hits Kraang will do what is known as 'pay' for hitting Kraang." Then, I realized it was 6:30 pm, way after closing time, so there was no point in trying to yell for help. Then I heard footsteps. 'Oh, great you brought your friends.' Boy, was I in trouble.
Chapter 29: Performance P.S: Ani means 'big brother' in Japanese.
I was sparring with Raphael. "I'm just saying, Raph, you need to ease up on teasing me." "No way! I'm not letting you pretend to be little Miss Perfect just because you're the only girl here." "April is a girl, too, shell-brain!" "Well, I mean, a mutant girl." "Just stop teasing me, Whenever you tease me, it makes me doubt myself, and when I doubt myself, I can't focus on my katas, and I perform poorly. And I do not think that I'm little Miss Perfect!" "You don't think at all!" That was it! I grabbed his arm, stepped behind him, locked my foot on his shell, and twisted his arm. Hard. "OOWW!" "Stop. Teasing. Me." "Or what? You gonna tell Leonardo? Your boyfriend?" That was the worst thing he could've said at that moment, because then I twisted harder. "OW!" "Leave Leo out of this!" "What's going on in here?" "Leo! Get this psycho girl off me!" I whipped my head around and saw Leo standing there, looking bewildered that I was able to do this to Raph, considering he was a great deal stronger and more skilled than I was. I let him go. "What the heck did you do, Raph?" "ME?! She's the one who went crazy on me!" With a huff, he left the room. "What a hot-head! He just makes me so... UGH!!" I stormed out. I grabbed a water bottle from the fridge, and slammed the door. "Hey, Elizabeth." "Not in the mood, Michelangelo!" Now, I rarely called the guys by their full names, so I was pretty steamed. I crashed on the couch. I started to calm down a little. I took a gulp of water. Then I sang my favorite hymn, Amazing Grace, to help me relax. "Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound. That saved a wretch, like me. I once was lost, but now I'm found. Was blind, but now I see. Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already won. 'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far, and Grace will lead me home. When we've been there 10,000 years, bright shining as the sun. We've no less days to sing God's praise, than when we first begun. Than when we first begun." Suddenly, I heard clapping and whistling. I turned around and saw the guys applauding me! Mikey and Leo were clapping, and Donatello was whistling. I suddenly felt my face turning hot so I hid my head in the pillows, which didn't really help. I bolted up before I could suffocate. "Hey, Liz, don't be embarrassed. You have a beautiful voice." said Donnie. "How much did you hear?" "All of it." "Oh, God." "What's wrong?" "Nobody except the people from church and my family have EVER heard me sing. EVER!" "I thought it was awesome!" "It's a religious hymn, Mikey. It's not 'awesome.' It's just nice." "Well, I thought it was very nice," Leo said. I blushed and muttered, "Thanks." "What's going on?" I saw Raph. 'Uh-oh! He'll never let me live this down!' "Liz was- OOF!" I thwapped Mikey upside the head with a pillow and shot him a venomous glare. He shut up. "Freaking out? Get used to it. My arm is still sore!" "What?! Liz, what did you do?" Don said. "All I did was twist his arm a little." I said, shrugging. "A little?! It nearly came off!" "Well, it didn't, so let it go already!" "I'll fix it, Raph. Just calm down, and come with me." Don led him to the lab, but not before Raph stuck his tongue out at me. "Oh, yeah. Real mature right there, Raph!" "Liz, how come you didn't want Raph to know you were singing?" Leo asked when they left the room. "Because Raph wouldn't stop teasing me about it if he knew. He always makes fun of every little thing I do out of pleasure, whether it's drawing, playing games with Mikey, dancing--" "Wait, you dance?" "Ballet, a little. Helps keep my muscles toned. You won't believe how good it is for your calves. The point is, he always makes fun of me because I'm the only girl mutant. And I'm sick of it!" "Alright, if it bugs you that much, I won't tell him." "Thanks, ani-san." "Huh. Someone's been studying Japanese." "Just thought I'd put it to use."
Chapter 28:
While I was in the meditation room, reading my zoology book that Leonardo gave me, my parents came and told me that they were going back to Raleigh. "What? Why?" I asked. "Well, honey, summer's almost over," said Mom. "Jonah has to go back to school next week. And your father and I have to go back to work." "But, what if the Kraang find you again? You might get hurt, or worse." "We can handle it, Elizabeth," Dad said. "We paid attention to the way you've been training, and I bet I can get that neo sagi move." "Seo nagi, Dad." "Whatever." I smiled. "I'm gonna miss you like crazy, you know." "Just promise to be careful when you fight." "I know, Mom. Don't worry. I've got a whole team to help me now." "And that Raphael boy seems nice." "Raph? As if! He can take out 20 Kraangdroids in 10 seconds. And, between us, he kinda has anger issues." "Well, he seems to be a good friend." "Maybe. But to be honest, it's Leo I like." "Does he know?" "Yeah, and I think he feels the same way." "Well, that's great, honey. Just remember, you keep us posted on what you're up to, OK?" "OK, Mom." We all hugged each other. The next day, Mom, Dad, Jonah and Licorice were ready to go. "Thank you for taking care of our daughter, Master Splinter. We really appreciate it." "It was no trouble at all, Miss Diane," he said. "She is an extrordinary girl. You are lucky to have her as your daughter." "Bye, Jonah," said Michelangelo. "I'm gonna miss ya." "I'll miss you too, Mikey," Jonah said. "Can I have a hug?" "Sure thing, little guy." "Aw, that's so sweet," said April. "April, do you want a hug, too?" Jonah asked. "Sure, why not?" she said. "All right, Jonah, say goodbye to your sister. Our plane leaves in an hour," said Dad. "Good bye, Sissy. I'll miss you." "I'll miss you too, Jonah. A lot." I gave him a big hug, then they were off. "I'm gonna miss them." Leo said, "Well, they'll be with you in spirit." "You're right."
I just finished reading the whole story and may I just say, this is the most awesome fanfic I've ever read. You can make a book out of this. I wanted to ask you if you were interested in putting a character of mine in your story as well, but it looks like you don't need one of my characters after all. It's already awesome. Keep going. Can't wait on whats going to happen next. You are an amazing writer.
This story is very good. I just started reading it. UNfortunatlly I didn't finish reading the whole thing because I'm taking a 30 minute break and I have to study for a test tomorrow. But I'll be back reading this. You really are a good writer. Wish I can do that too. Keep up the good work and can't wait to read some more on your story.
That's great, TMNTfan45! Please tell everyone you know about this fan-fic!
Chapter 27:
When I got back to the lair, Licorice jumped on me as if I was gone for a year instead of 2 hours. ''Hey, hey, girl, easy! I'm here, O.K?'' I heard Jonah yelling, ''Yay! Sissy's here! She's here!'' ''Whoa! Is this 'Attack Elizabeth Day?' '' Raphael said, ''No, tomorrow is.'' 'Oh, Raph.' I finally got my little attackers off and stood. My parents came in and Dad gave me a hug. ''Dad, not in front of Raph.'' ''But I love you.'' ''Well, can you love me a little less? You're cracking my new shell, and you're not even Shredder.'' ''Who?'' Mom asked. "The guy who mauled me a few days ago, remember?" "Oh, right." When Dad let go, I said, "Well, anyone else wanna jump on me? Or am I allowed to walk around now?" No answer. "O.K. I brought some food!" That made Michelangelo come speeding to the table. "What kind of food? Pizza?" "Better. Pizza gyoza, courtesy of Murikami's." "Awesome! Hey, guys! Lizzie brought food!" Leonardo and Donatello came in. "A Murikami special, pizza gyoza for the guys in green." "Ha! Good one, Liz." Leo said. "Thanks. I brought stuff for everyone else, too. Lo mien with teriyaki chicken for April, egg drop soup for Mom and Jonah, veggie rolls for Dad, beef, chicken and pork for Licorice, and, finally, sushi for Master Splinter." "Wow, you really went all out," Donnie said. "This must've cost a fortune." "Actually, after Rochelle, Heather and I got the money from his register from the Purple Doofuses, he let the price slide. Oh, by the way, that pizza gyoza is REALLY good. I can see why you guys like it." "You ate some already?" Mikey said. "No. Well, not from the box. I had some before I left the place." "Oh. Whew. I was afraid you started without us." "Don't give me any ideas, Mikey." I gave everyone else their food, and they dug in, especially Licorice. The last time I gave her cooked meat was her 1st birthday. I could've sworn I heard her burp when she was half-done. Oh, well. When it's gotta go, it's gotta go.
Chapter 26:
After talking a little more with my friends, Heather and Rochelle, I asked if they were hungry. "Heck, yeah!" said Heather. "I've hardly eaten anything since breakfast!" I smiled. Even when she was a preteen, Heather's hunger always got the best of her. "Well, then, let's head inside." "Wait," Rochelle said. "You can't go in there. You're a gecko now." "Turtle. And don't worry. Murikami is blind. He won't be able to see me. And even if he did find out, he'd be cool with it. The guys saved his life once." "O.K, if you're sure." We walked in to see Murikami knocked out on the floor! "Oh no!" We rushed to his side. Rochelle checked his pulse. "It's faint, but normal." Heather cried out, "Oh, who would do such a thing?" "Two words," I said. "Purple. Dragons." 'Leo would have been impressed with that line.' "Who?" Heather asked. "A local gang of thugs who go around demanding protection money. They must've come around here again. Murikami always refuses to pay, and then they trash the place." "Well, that isn't very nice." "Duh, Einstein,"
Rochelle pointed out, annoyed. They tend to get on each others' nerves. "Hey, he's coming to." We eased Murikami into a sitting position, then he spoke. "Thank you, you dear souls." "You're welcome, sir," Rochelle said gently. "I'm Rochelle, and these are my cousins, Heather and Elizabeth. We saw you on the floor." "It was those Purple Dragons that did it to me. And I'm afraid they cleaned out my register before they left." "Don't worry, Murikami-san. We'll get it back for you." I said. "We will?" asked Heather. "Yes, we will." "How?" Rochelle pointed out. "With a little street knowledge, deception, and a lot of luck." 15 minutes later, we were outside the hideout. "Now, you remember the plan. You guys are going to pretend you want to join the gang, while I sneak in the window, grab the register, and sneak out again. When I give you the signal, we get the shell out of here. Got it?" "Got it." We put the plan into motion. It went off without a hitch! When we got back, Murikami was overjoyed. "Thank you so much. Please allow me to make you a meal, free of charge." "Sounds good to me! I'm starved and broke!" "Oh, Heather!" Rochelle said, rolling her eyes. We all laughed. I asked for pizza gyoza. "Eewww." Heather said. "I'll have the veggie lo mein with teryaki chicken." "I'll take some sushi." Rochelle said. "Ew. How can you eat raw seafood and seaweed?" I said. "How can you eat dumplings with pizza ingredients?" she shot back. "It's probably one of her new turtle abilities." ''Heather! Ix-nay on the urtle-tay.'' Too late. Murikami asked, "One of you is a turtle?" "Guilty," I admitted. "Ah, so you know the other turtles that saved my life one day. "Yep." "Well, you can tell me about it after you eat, because here are your meals. Pizza gyoza, lo mein with teryaki, and sushi." Well, no use letting it go to waste. We dug in!
Chapter 25:
Even a hug from Leonardo and April couldn't change the fact that Rochelle and Heather would probably never talk to me again. Thinking about them made my heart ache. I decided to check on them. I dialed Rochelle, since she wasn't as mad as Heather. The phone rang a few seconds till she answered. ''Hello?'' "Hey, Rochelle." "Elizabeth?" "Yeah. How are you?" "I'm ok. Even though my cousin is a judo frog, now." "Ninja turtle." "Whatever. Anyway, thanks for saving us yesterday." 'Yesterday? Man, I WAS upset.' "Rochelle, can you and Heather meet me at Murikami's in 20?" "O.K." I hung up. "Why are you going there?" asked Leo. "To make things right between me and my friends." I ran off. Later, we were all at Murikami's. Heather said, "What do you want?" "To tell you a story." I explained my whole endurance, even my dream. When I was done, Heather apologized. "I had no idea that everything in your life changed because of those creepy guys." "The guys aren't.. And you meant the Kraang." We laughed. It felt good, knowing we were friends again.
Chapter 24:
April came into my room and asked what was wrong. "Oh, nothing." I said, still crying. "I just lost my two best friends in the world, and Leonardo is mad at me for being honest with them!" "I'm sorry, Elizabeth. I wish I could help." Just then, Leo walked in. I buried my head in my pillow to ignore him. "Hey, Lizzie." "What do you want, Leo?" I mumbled, not quite ready to talk to him, face-to-face. "Hey, listen. I'm sorry for yelling at you. You haven't seen your friends in a long time, and you want to let them know what you've been through. I respect that. We just can't risk letting people know that mutants are right under their feet. They might take us and do experiments on us. So, you know why you can't tell anyone about your transformation, right?" I lifted my head up. "Yeah, I understand. But I still wish my friends would just listen to me, then they would understand why I had to hide from them." I felt another wave of tears coming, but Leo and April just hugged me. I felt a little better, but I wasn't ready to talk to Rochelle and Heather yet.
N: Well, guys, what do you think?
D: Not bad, Naomi.
M: Totally awesome!!!
N: Mikey, you're right beside me. You don't have to yell.
M: Sorry, Naomi.
L: I think you're doing a great job.
N: Thanks, Leo.
R: I've read better.
N: Sure you did, Raph.
R: Do you not believe me?
N: Oh, I believe you. I'm just asking you if you like my story so far.
R:Sure, whatever.
M: I knew it!
R: Well, here's something else you should know!
(fighting grunts)
N: Are those two ever gonna learn?
L, D, N: Nah.
Chapter 23:
When I got back to the lair, Leonardo was awake. "Leo! You're awake!" "Hey, Elizabeth! You OK? You look like you've been crying." "Oh, that. Well, uh, I got hit, by blinding powder?" One blink told me he wasn't buying it. I never was good at making up stories to cover my actions. "OK, I'm busted." I told him everything. "What? I can't believe you went up to the surface to go to a party!" "Hey, I haven't seen my friends in half a year. What did you expect?" "I would've expected you to stay in the lair, or at least call me to get you out of there." "Oh, that's rich coming from a guy who just got strangled by a plant mutant! And for the record, the party wasn't all fun and games for me. I was keeping an eye out for the Kraang and the Foot. Up until the unmasking..." "Unmasking?! Do you know what would have happened if people found out there are mutants living in New York, right under their feet?!" "Oh, lighten up, Leo. I got out of it. But when that Kraang- creep grabbed my friends, I had to rescue them. But now they know that I'm a mutant--" "You told them you're a mutant?! Are you crazy?!" "Don't call me crazy, Leo! I just lost my two best friends in the world! By now, the Kraang probably did away with them!" I ran crying to my room and crashed on my bed and sobbed, wondering what was wrong with me.
Chapter 22:
Just then, my Tphone started ringing. "Oops. I-I'll get it." I dashed to my new room, and answered. "Hello?" "Elizabeth, who was that?" "Uh, a friend of mine." "Oh, ok. So, anyway, wanna go? I'm going as Athena, like at that one Halloween party we went to, and Rochelle is going as a black cat." "Ok, i-I guess. And I'll go as a turtle dressed as a ninja! Haha!" It was a nervous laughter, but it seemed to blow right past her. "Great. Meet you in 20?" "Sounds great." I hung up. "What am I getting myself into now?" It was difficult, but I was able to sneak out and met Heather and Rochelle outside the warehouse. "Hey, Elizabeth! Sweet costume!" "Thanks, Rochelle. You look absolutely catty! Haha." We laughed, then we went inside and got our tickets. I kept an eye out for Kraangdroids and Foot ninja. But it did not escape Heather's notice. "Hey, Elizabeth, what's going on with you? You seem a little tense." "I'm fine. Just a little nervous. One of my friends got hurt by a thug." "Oh, was it that Leo guy?" "Leonardo? Yeah." "Is he your boyfriend?" "No! Oh, sorry. It's just, he's more like a brother." "Oh, ok. Well, I'm going to dance. Want to join me?" "I'll pass." Just then, someone called out, "Ok, ladies and gents, it's time for the unmasking!" 'Unmasking? Oh no!' "Who wants to go first?" "We do!" cried Rochelle. She and Heather ran to the stage. I tried to leave, but the crowd just pushed me toward the stage. Rochelle went first. Her mask was easy to take off. 'What am I gonna do?!' Next came Heather. 'Oh, man, I'm so dead!' There was no escaping it. Or was there? "Hey, everyone look! It's Carly Anna!" I knew my friend Carly had gotten a record deal for her hit song, 'Pain in my Heart.' And she was pretty famous for it. In all the commotion, I was able to slip out. But then I heard, "Hey! Let us go, you creep!" I turned and saw a Kraangdroid grabbing my friends! "Hey! Brainbot! You mess with my friends, and it'll get ugly. Guys, duck!" I drew a katana and slashed it apart. Then the Kraang jumped out and scurried away. "Ew! What was that?" Heather asked. "A Kraang. Nasty little things." "How the heck did you do that awesome trick?!" "Well, this may surprise you, but, I'm not wearing a costume." "What?" "I know, big shocker." "I can't believe you didn't tell us." "I didn't want to put you in danger. That guy who grabbed you is an alien from another dimension. They're trying to mutate the whole planet!" "Well, you can count us out. I don't help mutant turtles who are secret keepers." With a huff, she turned around, grabbed Rochelle's arm and left. "Guys.." But they ignored me. I sighed heavily. "There go my two best friends in the world. And they don't even know what I'm trying to protect them from."
Chapter 21:
While I was waiting for Leonardo to recover from his encounter with Snakeweed,
I was thinking about my friends, Heather and Rochelle. I missed them so much. They aren't just my BFFs, they're my cousins. They're family. If they saw me like this, what would they do? Freak out, most likely. If I explained my ordeal to them, they probably wouldn't even talk to me anymore, since I kept this major secret from them. We always told each other our secrets. But I just can't tell them I'm a mutant turtle. That would put them in danger. I decided it would be ok to talk to them on the phone, as long as it wasn't
video-chat. I dialed Heather first. "Hello?" "Hey, Heather." "Hey, Elizabeth! I haven't heard from you in so long!" "Well, um, I've been a little busy." "A little? We haven't talked in over 2 months!" 'Wow. Time definitely is different in NY than NC.' "What have you been up to all this time? By the way, why is your number different?" "New phone. I've been, um on vacation, in The Big Apple, good ol' NYC." "Wow. Hey, guess what?" "What?" "Rochelle and I are in New York too!" "What?!" "I know, right? Some guy came to our school and said that we had been chosen out of 800 people to go to NYC!" "Really? Hey, just out of curiosity, what did this guy look like?" "Well, he was tall, and he had black hair, and he was kinda pale. His face was blanker than my last English paper on Marie-Antoinette. No wonder I got an F." 'A Kraangdroid!' "Hey, maybe we can get together and go to this awesome costume party on Houston. The comedy is hilarious! And all we need to do to get in is commerce what we know about turtles and martial arts for tickets. Weird, but a great bargain!" 'Turtles and martial arts knowledge? Uh-oh. If the Kraang get that, they can use it against me and the guys!' Just then, Donatello burst in. "Liz, come on! Leo's waking up!" "Who was that? Who's Leo?" "I'll call you back!" I hung up, and raced to the training room where Leo was resting. "Leo? Are you ok?" I knelt down beside him, and held his hand. "L-lizzie? Is that you?" "Yes, it's me, Leo. You're going to be OK. You're safe, now." He smiled, then he went back to sleep. I felt tears welling up in my eyes, but I just let them fall. I was glad Leo was ok, but I still felt that there was more danger ahead.
