But since this wasn't part of the ATLA or LOK original series, I think that question is a little unfair.

IN WHICH EPISODE DID THEY MENTION SOMEONE NAMED IKEM?
This is new news to me.. I looked through the episodes of ATLA and there is no episode called 'The Search'

The Father of Zuko is debatable at the moment... It is possible his father is Ikem, or it could be Ozai... It has not yet been confirmed.....
