Ok so I've been on the ATLA message boards lately because all these ppl make korra seem like a hotheaded avatar that is irrational but they are wrong!!! help me defend her!
Korra can be impatient, but she is not hot-headed. Also, it would make sense that she is like this because of the time period the show takes place in. Today, people do not respect one another like in Aang's time. In Aang's time, people respected one another because it was the nice thing to do. Korra is, in a way, the total opposite of Aang.
KORRA MIGHT BE HOTHEADED & THAT MAKES HER THE BEST AVATAR OF ALL!!! Btw what is wrong with hotheaded people cause I am hotheaded & you are insulting me!!!
She's not really hotheaded as she is impatient, but she does learn to be patient and I can't recall any time she was irrational she never made an irrational decision (the only thing you could say that she did that was irrational was confronting Tarrlok, but that was more being impatient and wanting her friends out of jail and I think Tarrlok was the one who made the irrational decision of attacking her, Korra just wanted to talk).
So basically she's not irrational or hotheaded she just impatient and usually thinks things through (and as I said earlier Korra just wanted to talk with Tarrlok, not fight him)
You gotta admit, its true that Korra is hotheaded. Even as 5. Aang is better (my opinion, no hate). Aang is more spiritual and can be more confident than her. Korra can't face Amon when Katara faced Hama! Aang defeated Ozai. Korra would try to blast an evil dude with fire and earth. For example:
-an evil person comes toward them-
Aang: We can stop this. We don't have to fight.
Korra: I MUST DESROY YOU!! -Avatar State- -blasts fireballs and earth-
