Pros:
-It alludes to Mighty Morphin (it's the 20th anniversary after all)
-They play the theme song during epic fights (stopped doing that after Time Force, I think. Or maybe right before)
Cons:
-Theme song is identical to Samurai
-Has nothing to do with the original angel-themed Tensou Sentai Goseiger whatsoever
-No offense, but the acting sucks
-The target audience has dropped from 10 years old to, like, 5 (ever since Jungle Fury, I'd say, although Megaforce has them all beat)
-There doesn't seem to be some basic plot or sub-plots other than defeat the aliens before they destroy Earth
-The episodes, rather than "continued from last week", are more of a "what will happen today?" (tag-along to the previous point)
All I can think of at the moment. MG definitly won't live up to Sentai Goseiger . Just hope the Americanized Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger next year isn't such a disappointment as this. But hey, Power Rangers still RULE! (Coming from a 16 year old)
In MY opinion, with the start of samurai, Power Rangers REALLY went downhill. I mean, RPM was the most mature, i say. Now, it's like it was made by 3 year olds! Now, we all know PR has bad acting, but this is the WORST! GET A NEW IDEA! I mean, the same theme song! Really? and Gosi, how the heck could Zordon have mentored him? ZORDON WAS A FLOATING HEAD! Even though this season stinks, I still love PR. I always will.
My thoughts are that PR will never equal to
sentai, although still kinda okay. The PR theme doesn't have to match the Sentai equivalent too u no...
I personally think that megaforce is the most suckish PR...

Actually, my T.V. doesn't get Nick, so I don't really watch it. Saw the first three episodes online. Ever since then I've been reading this episode guide I found that describes each episode in detail as they're released. I feel obliged to stay up to date since Megaforce is the 20th anniversary. Just wanted to post my thoughts of the season as a whole.
Well, it appears that you have more cons then pros, which isn't a good thing.;/ So if you don't like it, don't watch it. That's all I have to say to ya.(;

better acting then samurai, no angels (i think) so as to not offend religions...
agree on the theme song, i don't like the villains (the main ones are fine, but the monsters of the day, blah, to me) or the loogies (name or design)
i think some of the rangers have good personalities...
and sentai fans - pr prob won't ever be as good just because certain plots won't be able to be adapted for the target audience... (NOT saying pr is bad or sentai is bad.... lol)
