When you're the star of a show like House of Anubis, you can expect lots of changes to your hair, makeup, wardrobe, and...name?! Yep, it's true, the cast and crew of the show even got makeovers for their names, courtesy of Brad Kavanagh. In an interview with Clevver TV, Burkely Duffield and Alex Shipp explained the strange nickname game they played on the set. She dished, "Brad definitely decided that everyone on set, I'm talking cast, crew, directors, production writers, everyone needed a new name, that was like a derivative."
Burkely explained Brad's ingenious system: "So you take their real name, and sort of like, certain outstanding consonants, but you would insert ridiculous vowels. Mine was Beaucoupdefoof." Whoa, and you thought 'Robert Frobisher-Smythe' was a mouthful! We definitely dig the sound of this Frenchy new name.
But if you think Burkely's name is funny, Alex revealed that, "Mine became Aloopshapoopie." Kind of reminds us of a hula hoop...or should we say, hula poop? Sorry Alex, we couldn't help it!
And in case you're wondering about the nickname mastermind himself, Alex revealed his name was 'Braddles.' Now these are some funky nicknames we could definitely get used to!
