Emma Watson, the Designer?

Posted on Mar 15, 2011

We look to Emma Watson for everything from advice about love potions to how to rock a short hair 'do without looking like a boy, so it seems perfectly natural that she would use her influence to support a great cause: the environment.

Emma's teamed up with designer Alberta Ferretti on a new clothing line called Pure Threads that is made with all organic fabrics. "I'm pleased that a luxury brand such as Alberta Ferretti has decided to create ecological clothes," Emma tells WWD. "I believe this is a big step forward for all of the international fashion industry, but also an important step for an increased sensitivity to the problem of ecology."

Way to step up and actually do something about what you believe in, Emma! The coolest part? Part of the proceeds from the clothes will be donated to People Tree, a nonprofit organization that Emma loves and supports. Here's to celebs making a difference!
