Shia LaBeouf | Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Interview

NICKELODEON MAGAZINE INTERVIEWS
SHIA LABEOUF
We interviewed Shia LaBeouf, who plays Mutt in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

NICK MAGAZINE: What kind of training did you do for the movie?
SHIA LABEOUF:
I worked for three months on one sword fight. [Director Steven Spielberg] wanted it to be a dance, like in very old movies. Also, we had a lot of motorcycle training. I had Harrison Ford on the back of the bike. If you go down and he hurts himself, you’re to blame for ruining Indiana Jones.

NICK MAGAZINE: Indiana Jones is afraid of snakes. What is Shia LaBeouf afraid of?
SHIA LABEOUF: Reporters. [laughs]

NICK MAGAZINE: Have you been able to use any of the skills that you learned on the set of Indiana Jones?
SHIA LABEOUF: Yeah, it’s funny, the other day I was at a convenience store picking up a bag of chips, and some guy challenged me to a sword fight duel and I had to show him what was up. Then I took off on my motorcycle. So, yeah, it helped out a lot!
