BUNYIP

2

3' tall, 3-5' in length

85 - 150 lbs

Bunyips live primarily in large bodies of water surrounded by land. They lurk in reeds or foliage near the edge of lakes and feed off of victims as they approach. Physically, they resemble tusked wolves with black hair and flippered feet. They are quick on land, but faster in water.

Bunyips are one of the 4 only creatures on this site proven to exist. (ther others are basilisks behemoths and unicorns) But in reality, a bunyip looks like a cross between a walrus and mermaid. Females don't have tusks. They were the most terrifing creature europeans exploring Australia found. Fortunately, it is very rare and relativly harmless to humans.

So a Bunyip as fast on land, but faster in the lakes and marshes, it resembles a black saber-toothed cat with webbed feet. It must have a ferocious predator that probably could rival the big cats of the everyday world.
