Earlier versions combined a phasing liquid oxygen power source, but it made the early versions of the Freeze Ray unstable. The new incarnation replaced the power source and transformed the casing into a more manageable and camouflaged device. It currently resembles a hair dryer.
Instantly freezes its victim. Standard issue.
