In early history, many more civilians witnessed and recalled monster attacks. This posed a problem for The Troop's secrecy mandate. In 25 B.C. the Snark was discovered and domesticated by a Troop in East Africa. But as many Troop members would accidentally 'Snark' themselves, a safe, portable home was needed to house the Snark. Since Snarks hate wide open spaces, the Snark Box was invented. Early versions were in wicker.
