Fourth of July!!

Hey guys! It's me, missflyers!

I'm the girl who's all about sports, food, and girly stuff. This time I'm writing about a completely different topic. Fourth of July. I want to tell you about my traditions on this day, and I want to know about yours!

On the Fourth of July, my family will meet my cousins, aunt, and uncle at my grandparents house early in the morning. There is a fire truck ride where everyone in the neighborhood can go and ride around town on top of fire trucks. You sit on the hoses. It is really fun. After doing this about 3 times, we go back to my grandparents house and eat eggs, bagels, bacon, and sausage for breakfast. Around 11:00, there is a big parade just down the street from my grandparent's house. We bring big plastic shopping bags because everyone throws candy, and sometimes the football team throws little squishy footballs with pretty designs on it.

Around 12:30, we go to our house and make half a picnic lunch. We walk up to the park and meet my friend there. She brings the other half of the lunch. We eat and then go back home. Around 4:00 or so, just before eating hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill for dinner, my mom serves us Jell-O that looks like an American flag! It is red Jell-O in a special mold. Then, you put whipped cream in for the stripes and blueberries for the stars. At 8:30- 9:00, there are fireworks at the park! They are in all different colors and shapes and light up the sky. Some times we also use sparklers. Fourth of July is very fun for me! What do you do? Please leave a comment below!
