WHO’S PLAYING WHO?
Ready to meet the Mutants?! Seth Rogen introduced the cast of Mutant Mayhem at this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards! The coolest part? All of the teen Turtles are played by ACTUAL teens!
Michelangelo (Mikey) is voiced by Shamon Brown Jr., Donatello (Donnie) is voiced by Micah Abbey, and Leonardo (Leo) is voiced by Nicolas Cantu. Raphael (Raph) is voiced by Brady Noon. April, who shows up in many other versions of the TMNT franchise, is voiced by Ayo Edebiri.
If you think some of the characters sound familiar….you’re probably RIGHT! Mutant Mayhem has a star-studded cast. In addition to our leading bros, there are some pretty exciting folks also set to star in the film….
Jackie Chan plays Splinter, the Turtles’ beloved father and teacher. Other awesome cast members include Seth Rogen himself, plus Ice Cube, John Cena, Post Malone, Maya Rudolph, Paul Rudd, Giancarlo Esposito, Hannibal Burress, and MORE!
WHEN WAS THE MOVIE FIRST ANNOUNCED?
Mutant Mayhem has been a long time coming! The movie was originally announced in 2020. That means that it’s been in the works for three whole years!!! That’s enough time to read at least a thousand books, teach your pet iguana to sing, and show your great great grandpa how to salsa dance. But we think making a movie is pretty cool too.
WHAT’S DIFFERENT ABOUT THIS VERSION OF THE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES?
It’s the Turtles like you’ve never seen them before! The creators of Mutant Mayhem busted out a brand-new style of animation for the film. Don’t believe us? Why wouldn’t you? You’re on the Nickelodeon website? Weird but okay….you can take a look at the trailer and see for yourself!
